Re: Saturday Ticker Change 2/4

  • How far along are you? 20 weeks, halfway!

    How big is baby? Banana

Appointment updates? Anatomy Scan is on Tuesday the 7th! Still waiting on my NIPT results - the online portal says Tuesday as well - so hopefully i'll be out of limbo soon.

Any new symptoms or changes? Increased discharge for sure. Feeling big - otherwise feeling good, lots of movement.

Rants/Raves/Questions? None this week. Just anxious to find out whats going on with my baby!

GTKY: What was the last movie you went to in a theater? We rarely go to the movies, but I think the last one we went to see was Deadpool

  • How far along are you? 23 weeks

    How big is baby? Grapefruit

Appointment updates? Had my fetal echo last week and baby's heart is perfect! Not sure when/if I'll have another ultrasound, so trying to savor those final photos of the baby we got! My next prenatal is in a couple weeks.

Any new symptoms or changes? Holy heartburn  2 nights ago I was up all night with it and so uncomfortable. I called the advice nurse yesterday and she suggested cutting spicy and greasy foods out of my diet (bummer, since I love Mexican food), and eating small frequent meals (which is hard when I'm working, since I'm a therapist and see clients back to back all afternoon and cannot eat or even snack at all). I picked up some Zantac to take if I need it.

Rants/Raves/Questions? DH and I decided on a photographer to use for maternity and newborn photos, and I love her work so much that it's getting me really excited! Right now DH and I just have our engagement and wedding photos up around our house, so I'm really looking forward to adding FAMILY photos now! :)

GTKY: What was the last movie you went to in a theater? Sing. It was just okay.

@graceriesz So glad you'll be out of limbo soon. Best of luck with the results and your anatomy scan coming up!

  • @wifeinraleigh28 Thank you  :) Hope your heartburn calms down soon!

  • Lurking to say to suggest cutting out highly acidic foods (tomatoes, citrus) to @wifeinraleigh28. I had terrible heartburn with DD and that definitely helped.

  • Hey guys!!!

How far along are you? 21 weeks!!

How big is baby? Large cArrot

Appointment updates? Had our anatomy scan and fetal echo this week. It was so great to see him twice in a week but I guess that's it for the rest of the pregnancy! We saw him hiccup and yawn, and let me tell you it was the cutest yawn I've seen in my life. I'm so in love!

Any new symptoms or changes? Despite my anterior placenta, this baby is active-o-Rama. He kept me up Tuesday night with his movements. DH can now feel him outside my belly.

Rants/Raves/Questions? Getting a little tired of people asking my birth plan and giving unsolicited advice. Yes, I'm considering going med-free. No, I won't flip out of things don't go to plan.

GTKY: What was the last movie you went to in a theater? Moana :-)

@graceriesz Tuesday will be here before you know it!!
  • @Knottie42089123 The questions people ask pregnant women are crazy! Thank you for the support :)

  • Thank you @c1tym0m22! I'm doing that as well. So far so good but we'll see what happens. I'm really hoping I don't end up needing to take the Zantac!

@tmrussell it's funny you ask about breast pumps - because I reread the entire "Breast Pump" thread and a ton of articles this evening on it and am still overwhelmed! I think I will go with the Medela Sonata, Pump in Style, OR Spectra S2. I need to call my insurance to see if they cover anything. :|

Taxes aren't done either - but we did JUST get all our documents needed so that's on the to-do list too.

    Edit: Spelling
  • @graceriesz I think I used the Medela in style last time. I like it, no complaints but nothing to compare it too. I want to look at the spectra this time around. I read somewhere that maybe one of the spectra pumps you cannot get a car charger for. I pumped a lot in the car last time so I will definitely have to look into that.
  • @tmrussell I saw that on the car charger too. We have a family friend that is a lactation nurse, I'm going to give her a ring once I know what's covered by insurance.

  • @tmrussell My sister gifted me her Medela pump in style which I am so grateful for. But I still need to get the kit and bottle set for it. I know nothing about pumping, but that's what my sister said I needed.

These are the items I'll be buying if anyone is interested:
