Re: Healthy Habits Check In (week of 02/05)

  • 1) Do you have any diet goals this week? My goal is to not gain weight this week! I have a bad habit of gaining way too much in first trimester. So I'm trying really hard not to. I need to keep cooking our meals. Lately I've been slacking and we've started the dreaded eating out/ordering pizza routine. I'm also doing a water challenge this month of drinking 64oz. every day. I'm really sick of water though...

    2) Do you have any exercise goals this week?
I am doing a 30 day squat challenge. I like those challenges because they're short and very focused. Once I get into second trimester I want to do the bikini body mommy 6 week pregnancy series.

    3) What's your long term goal for this pregnancy in terms of your diet and exercise?
I just don't want to gain 70lbs like I did with DS. I'm hoping that since most of this pregnancy will be over spring/summer that I can get outside more and go for walks. I'm starting this pregnancy a lot higher than with him. So I really don't want to gain more than 20lbs. I tried to prepare ahead of time and made some freezer meals while TTC. So hopefully we can use those instead of eating out so much because that's a big part of my weight gain downfall!

  • 1.) My diet goals for this week is to stay away from sweets and pizza.. The two things I've been craving  :(
2.) My goal this week for exercise is to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day, for 6 of the days.
3.) My long term pregnancy goal is to not gain more than I did muth ds, I wouldn't be comfortable gaining more than 32-35 pounds. Also I want to eat really healthy because when I was pregnant with ds, all I craved was junk. I am trying to lose weight by being healthy during this pregnancy.  I am starting off this pregnancy 14 pounds more than when I found out that I was pregnant with ds.

    1) Do you have any diet goals this week? My goal is to keep the carbs to a minimum, or cut them out where i can. Trying not to take the "easier" food choice over the healthy one.

    2) Do you have any exercise goals this week? Im hoping my doctor clears me for my Yoga class this week. I've stopped it until i can get his approval. Its a heated class, so I didn't want to risk anything. I'll find out monday.

    3) What's your long term goal for this pregnancy in terms of your diet and exercise? Long term goal is to just be healthy, and stick to my healthy routine. Not putting too much pressure on myself, as i tend to gain weight very easily. If I'm choosing healthy foods and hopefully my yoga will be approved, then i think ill be okay!!

  • 1. I am trying to cut out desserts. I don't have a sweet tooth. My mouth is made up of all sweet teeth. It's a meal by meal struggle to resist. And of course, I got home from work yesterday and DH had bought me cinnamon rolls after I said no to cannolis and eclairs. NOT helping bro.

    2. I'd like to start a very mild yoga routine or walking each night if it's not freezing. I have a history of big bleeds due to a SCH in my last pregnancy and it's left me afraid to move for the most part so I may wait till the 2nd tri.

    3. I'm 7-8lbs above my pre pregnancy weight from my daughter and I'd like to gain no more than 25lbs if possible.
  • 1. Keep up with my water intake. My aim is 60oz a day
    2. Continue going to orange theory twice a week
    3. Long term goal is to stay active throughout my pregnancy (first time I've stuck to a fitness regimen for more than a year and I'm planning on continuing that)
I've gained a healthy amount of weight both previous pregnancies so I'm not terribly concerned about that at the moment, and I have a plan in place to get back to my pre-pre-pre-pregnancy size (weight is less important to me) after this baby is born

  • 1) Do you have any diet goals this week?
Yes! This is my first pregnancy. I'm trying to work out the kinks... been craving actual food like soups. That's probably what i'll try to stick to. I'm going to try to find healthy snacks for my work hours and bring my healthy lunch. I've also been trying to slow down on the sweets and salty food I've been eating.

    2) Do you have any exercise goals this week?
I'm going to try to walk during my lunch for at least 30 minutes. I just got my insurance so I need to talk to a doc about what I can do.

    3) What's your long term goal for this pregnancy in terms of your diet and exercise?
i'd like to gain the recommended amount for this pregnancy which is somewhere around 25lbs. That'll put me about 60lbs over my goal weight. I'm very determined to bounce back though, and hope that ultimately I can!

  • I'm so happy about this thread!

    1) Do you have any diet goals this week? We are starting whole30 tomorrow. I've done it before, and each time I've cut more things out for good (ex: ice cream really makes me sick, and I never noticed before I cut it out. Now I don't ever have it, and I really don't crave it like I used to.) The first time I did it was just a few months after my DD was born, and I promised myself I would eat that way through my next pregnancy because I feel so good!

    2) Do you have any exercise goals this week? My friend and I go to the gym 3-4 nights a week, and half work out, half goof off. But I'm also training for a half marathon in May that I'm hoping to still be able to do. We'll see!

    3) What's your long term goal for this pregnancy in terms of your diet and exercise? I really want to do the half marathon, stick to eating clean, and keep working out as long as I am allowed. With my first, I stopped working out early on because it made me nauseous, but I think a lot of it was in my head. Now that I know how hard it is to lose baby weight after the baby is born, I want to be as healthy as possible throughout the pregnancy to minimize extra weight and keep myself in "shape".

  • 1) Do you have any diet goals this week? Yes, I want to continue to eat lots of veggies and abstain from sweets and sugary drinks (except Ginger Ale when I start to feel a little nauseous/queasy)

    2) Do you have any exercise goals this week? Nope, I have an ankle injury from a car accident. I can't even walk yet. Plus walking on crutches feels like exercise enough, lol.

    3) What's your long term goal for this pregnancy in terms of your diet and exercise? I want to keep eating small portions, limit my sweets and I plan on going on walks in my neighborhood and local park.
  • @mommac2017 I hadn't heard of the bikini body mommy workout but I am going to look into it. Sounds interesting.

    1) Do you have any diet goals this week? I stopped craving sweets and I used to have something sweet everyday. I've been trying to get fruits and vegetable everyday. I also don't drink coffee or soda and try to drink a lot of water.

    2) Do you have any exercise goals this week? I want to walk at least two miles during my lunch break.

    3) What's your long term goal for this pregnancy in terms of your diet and exercise? To eat healthy and exercise everyday.
