We are transitioning our toddler to Montessori school this week! It will only be part time - 3 mornings a week. We will take him just for an hour or so this week but I'm so nervous!!! Everyone says that I should be prepared for him to be sick all.the.time. Ugh! He has never even had a cold - but as he was so sick as a baby with severe reflux, food allergies, extremely fussy, high needs etc. I always felt like him not getting colds etc. was a gift to even things out a bit. We had enough to deal with as it is. He is 19 months old and has been in PT and OT to help with gross motor coordination for crawling and then walking and oral coordination for eating - and now you would not be able to tell just looking at him - he's on the normal spectrum.
I hope we made the right decision sigh... He wants to see and be around other kids - so I think he will like it. Anyways, I marked off some time today to shop for things he will need to go to daycare. Off to google a list! I have to idea what I need!
We had a rough time in my house today. I came home from school to find DS asleep with a fever yesterday. We were supposed to have a "date," so I was pretty bummed. He has a yucky cough that makes him cry. He was up a bunch last night, poor guy. This morning I asked DH gave to give him some medicine. DH gave him 12.5 ml of ibuprofen instead of 5 ml. Thankfully, the lady at poison control is very nice, and said he'll be ok. She calculated the number of mg/kg, and it was 14 and change...she said that it's not something to panic about unless it's 200 or so. Phew! Always eventful in my house, I swear.
@chiquita928 aww I hope your DS feels better and I'm glad that even though he got the wrong dose he'll be ok!
Today is is my lazy-ish day, and then later I'm getting my hair done by a co-worker because I'm tired of wrangling it myself. Then tomorrow I go to work for a few hours in the morning and then church with H. Our church is having a super bowl party that evening so we'll probably go to that. I'm not a big football person but if they have wings there I'll be happy lol

@chiquita928 Oh no! So glad to hear that everything is ok.
My weekend today consists of getting my kitchen organized and finally pulling out a baby thing or two to get the cat used to it! I'm way more excited than the situation really needs. Tomorrow we're going to my husband's dads for super bowl pre-game. I'm not really looking forward to it. It's a long drive and they never have decent food for me even though they always say they will, and we always stay way later than I want to. I've also gotten super sensitive to smells and apparently they're going to have pot roast, and I'm really scared that that is not going to go well.
I also cried because my sandwich fell apart. Pregnancy is fun sometimes.

@chiquita928 I'm glad poison control said everything was ok! Hope your LO feels better soon and that you get another date night.
We are going hiking today at a national park and then I'm going out for a girls night, wahoo! We've been trying to do this hike for weeks and we finally have a free day.
I just shredded a bunch of documents (because I save everything relevant in case I need it) from 2007...when I was single...and living on my own in Florida...and, apparently, very poor. That was a fun walk down memory lane.
Married: 10/13/2013
TTC #1: Mirena removed 5/26/2015; DH - normal SA, me - diagnosed with PCOS 8/4/2016 - on Metformin; BFP - 10/29/2016!!!, EDD - 7/8/2017; DD born 6/29/2017
Anyone who sends my dh a paddle for his douche canoe will be slapped around next week.
I'm down with the same stomach bug I had two weeks ago. DD has exploding diarrhea, the dog hurt his hip playing this morning, and DH is gone to stupid annual chili golf outing. Really?! You can't stay home and f'ing help me? He had major meetings two weeks ago and couldn't stay home to help me and all family is around four hours away. I'm close to attacking him.
We spent the morning at the ER because DS2 has a nasty virus and hasn't been able to even keep water down since Wednesday. So we're in for the weekend now with no plans except for 10-minute hydration intervals.
DS has basketball Saturday's. DH drops him off on his way to work and stays for the first half hour I come later with the DD and DS2 to pick him up. I still get nauseous so I can't stay too long. I watch the end of his games and then we head out immediately after his game is over. Today he has a second game. I had a light breakfast and headed this way without any snacks. DS2 didn't bring his shoes. So he and I are in the car while DD watches brothers game. I'm hungry and nauseous. DS2 is whining in the back seat that he is starving and wants to go home. Way to start the day.
So, update. DS has the flu. So we're not going to be doing good anything much this weekend. I got the flu shot, but I'm wondering if I should call my OB, anyway, just in case.
We are in TX for the Super Bowl, our first weekend kid free in almost 4 years!! I miss my babies but man it is nice to sleep in, stay out late and not have to worry about getting home.
So many sick kids this weekend! Hope they all feel better soon, that's not fun at all. I so badly wish I could get outside for a walk or hike, but we just got a big dump of snow and a snowfall warning is still in effect. On top of that, I'm sick with a cold.
At least I get to humour myself by throwing my dog in fresh snow and watching her hop around in it.
I was feeling super down, but this made me laugh. Hopefully it can cheer up all you peeps with sick kids for a minute too. "20 things to know after you've pushed out a baby".

I finally found the correct combination and placement of pillows to make my back not hurt sitting on the sofa. I'm going to be pissed when I have to get up and pee again in like 4 minutes
I'm also annoyed with myself for getting so irritated with the other thread ... but alternative facts type articles, especially regarding science topics, tend to give me an allergic reaction.
ETA - so sorry about everyone's sick kids!! I'm stressed out with pregnancy and work alone, kudos to you STMs!
@Cait32 Wnjoy your day, I hope you get to relax and savor it!
We had to trade in our motor home which meant driving two hours to the dealership, me in one car and DH in the motor home. My dad ended up coming with since I was nervous about driving as I have gotten to the point in my pregnancy and because of my heart problem I am getting dizzy, light headed and scared of passing out. My dad is about a month out from cancer surgery and his recovery was rough so two hours one way in the car with just him was sooo much fun, just talking and catching up now that he feels good again. I went from dreading it to having a great time.
Today we we have a birthday party (who has a kids birthday party on the Super Bowl??) which is an hour and some change away and then we are rushing back to have the Super Bowl here with DHs parents - it's a low key thing but I wish we were at home all day today with nothing to do and no one to see.

I'm glad you said something. This weekend I've been calling people out on my facebook who are sharing fake news and trying to encourage people to fact-check and cross-reference their sources. I don't like to be the 'annoying' acquaintance ruining their facebook fun, but literally someone needs to step in and call it out for what it is.
Same thing with blogs and random articles found online. Sources should be checked and should include peer-reviewed data to back it up.
The proliferation of fake news/sketchy blog content is legitimately scary and what frightens me more is people who believe this stuff without questioning its validity.
What @a_wee_bit_terrified said!! I'm glad you said something too @mj8215. I work in a research atmosphere and it drives me crazy to see people buying into fake articles thinking they're accurate. Nothing grinds my gears more than someone proliferating propaganda and overall stupidity. Kudos to you for saying something!

@Cait32 we all hope your day is beautiful and that you enjoy and cherish every moment. I do hope everything goes off without a hitch, but remember not to sweat the small stuff that may go wrong and instead enjoy it as a whole experience. Can't wait for the photos, make sure to post in the AW thread
On a less pleasant note, DH is upstairs talking to his parents. I'm dreading the crazy nonsense that is being requested of me in regards to this pregnancy. So far l've been told (not asked) that I need to take weekly bump pics, to let MIL know of any names we are considering seriously (uh, not gonna happen), and my personal favorite, to send her a friend request on FB even though she blocked me months ago and am still currently blocked. Let me be clear, her blocking me has been a blessing and I was not upset in slightest.
ETA @mj8215, I feel you on that one. I just can't help myself sometimes with that one either.

I just dropped my keys keys down the elevator shaft in my building. And then burst into tears. This is gonna be a great day -_-
