Body Image

The blump is real now and I have been reminiscing through my first baby's baby book. I found my bump picture at 8 weeks and put it side by side in the same shirt now at 9 weeks with number 3. I'm not gonna lie, there's a lot of nutella and lazy days and sweet tea packed in there too, but my body has definitely changed since then. I was 26 then and am 30 now. I hope to pickup some new activities with all 3 of maybe babies and stay healthy at least, but I just thought I'd share and say I'd keep this mama belly forever to have enjoyed these past 4 years of parenthood.

Re: Body Image

  • mmm nutella. but forreal you look great.
  • You look absolutely beautiful!!!

I'm so happy and thankful to be bringing another little one into the world. But I just admit that I am afraid of how I am going to look afterward. Im scared my body is going to change forever and my SO isn't going to be attracted to me anymore. I haven't gained any weight yet but the only things I've been able to eat without issue are very unhealthy food items, lol. I am super self conscious!
  • Thank you ladies :-* @Msashley2010 This is exactly why I posted this. I sometimes worry about the same thing but its funny in some ways I feel more beautiful being a mother than I did before. Kind of the way our SOs look sexier when they're taking charge of the dad role. Its a little scary to feel like your beauty is "changing" but its empowering to think of what our bodies are actually doing. Its truly amazing!

  • Yaaaaassss. I gained 76 pounds with my first and I felt like I wrecked my body. I've got stretch marks on my calves.. I've got stretch marks on my stretch marks!!! I had lost 60 pounds when I got pregnant but I still wasn't even close to the shape I was in when I got pregnant the first time. I'm terrified that I'm going to gain too much again and I won't be able to lose any of it... I'm trying to focus on being healthy for myself and the little one but it's still hard because I'm subconsciously trying not to gain too much..
  • You've got this, sister! I feel you! I gained 40 with my first, lost about 10. Whoops. Gained 15 with my second and lost 25. So I'm starting in between, but still heavier than I should be. And I barely see a belly, only mac n cheese and taco fluff. You look awesome!
