Do yall think it's too early to start a dedicated recipe post? I figured that I want to start getting my list together now so that I can start prepping after the new year.
Lets use this as our thread for recipes for good energy boosting/filling snacks or frozen meals that only require the hubs to toss them in the oven!
Love the idea of a freezer meal post! Tbh as cool as lactationcookies and stuff are, the best way most of the time to encourage more milk production is putting baby to the breast more.

I def don't disagree, but there are def some tricks out there that people swear by for those mama's that might need it. Thinking about it though... things like that should probably be on its own thread/topic.
Lets keep this to recipes for freezer meals or good snacks to have on hand. I'll update the original note.
We invested in an instant pot for baby #2! I'm kind of a bad meal planner and forget to take things out of the freezer before I realize I'm starving. Now with the instant pot I can still cook a frozen roast and potatoes in an hour, steel cut oats (great for upping that milk production!) in 10 minutes (plus i add pumpkin or banana or vanilla to the batches for that extra flavor), soup/stew is a 30 minute ordeal. I love our instant pot and for anyone else who is a poor meal planner I highly recommend one!! I even make spaghetti in it - 10 minutes and I'm good to go.
If anyone else is interested look out for sales on amazon - they go down to $70 sometimes.
@marshmallowfarts there is a cult following for the instant pot I'm my area! We have had a pressure cooker (which I would imagine is similar/the same thing) for years that we LOVE.
I've been traveling with out my laptop so as soon as I get home I'll get things kicked off with my favorite recipies from when DS was born and since then!
as for foods we froze that really came in handy: lasagna, banana bread and zucchini bread muffins (great for snacking), twice baked potatoes (great for lunch!), garlic bread, shepards pie and soup.
@vino831 yeeesss another pressure cooker believer!! Seriously I'm so happy we got one. I use it several times a week!
@Gators&BoSox I love a good banana nut bread - I've never tried freezing a loaf though but I love that idea. Usually the loaf is gone in two days - all my own doing too since DH won't eat it and DS isn't a huge fan. I can easily double batches though for freezing!
Anyone have any good recipes that a toddler is likely to eat? I am freezing some manicotti, which will be a hit, and a cheeseburger/tater tot concoction, but I'm dubious about many casseroles. And let's face it, if we're eating tater tots and cheeseburger mixed in a casserole my husband might a well just pick up dinner from McDonalds, lol.
I hope this link works or that you can copy and paste it. It's a ravioli lasagna and it is really good. I add ground beef to the sauce but it is super easy and yummy.
This is another tried and loved recipe. I mix the sauce up and honestly don't even bother to put in the onions and cloves of garlic. I add it in a ziploc freezer bag with my chicken breasts and freeze. Then when ready I dump the solid block in the crockpot all day while at work. I heat up some 90 second long grain and wild rice and choose a veggie.
Thanks for this! I do know I'm planning on doing meat/rice/bean burritos-I think it'll be a nice easy grab and go for just me when I'm home alone, or can cook up a few for everyone for dinner!
Fiesta Crockpot Chicken-super easy, just dump everything in and leave it pretty much! Layer bottom of crockpot with Frozen or thawed chicken breasts, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 1 can black beans (undrained), 1 can corn (drained), 1 jar salsa, taco seasoning. Can be served over rice, or by itself as a stew type of deal.

Burritos of all kinds are a great idea! I buy them sometimes from Whole Foods but making a ton of healthy protein/veggie or breakfast versions sounds like a great go-to. And easy to store frozen.
@vino831 I can't wait to check out the "man pleasing chicken" recipe haha what a great recipe name!
I'm planning on making some frozen batches of turkey chili with chopped kale and diced sweet potatoes added for a lil extra healthiness in there. So good with a dollop of full-fat Greek yogurt on top!
I just made my freezer meals yesterday. Here's what I made:
1)cooked and seasoned taco meat (nothing special) 2)white bean chicken chili soup(cooked chicken, chicken broth, white beans, cream, cooked jalapeño green chiles and garlic, seasonings) 3)rotel crockpot chicken(chicken frozen, 2 cans rotel, 1 can corn, 1 can black beans, seasonings) 4)honey lime chicken enchiladas(lime juice, honey, chili powder, paprika, cheese pour over cooked chicken, line pan with green enchilada sauce, wrap enchiladas place in pan, top with green enchilada sauce and cheese) 5)chicken lasagna roll ups(Cook spinach and blend cottage cheese, cheddar cheese and spinach together, mix with cooked chicken, stuff Cooked lasagna noodles with cheese and chicken filling, roll up place in pan, top with red and white sauce) 6)seasoned steak fajita strips(uncooked to throw on stovetop) 7)teriyaki chicken(honey, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, ginger and garlic over uncooked chocked for crockpot) 8)italian cream cheese chicken(1 8oz cream cheese, 1 can cream of chicken, 1 packet dry Italian seasoning packet pour over cubes of chicken for crockpot)
