Echoing every.single.thing above. I'm just trying to jump back on the bump and yesterday was a shit show. Come to find out the regulars that are a wealth of information are the ones punished? Man, is another mass bump exodus on the horizon?
This is honestly ridiculous. @antoto@adirat are both brilliant women and such an amazing support system. I can personally say they were both wonderful when I went through a loss and yet they are banned when a horrible spiteful human comes in and mocks what is, for some of us, the worst pain and anxiety we have experienced to date. How dare you call yourself a community when you allow anyone to come in and be hurtful then respond with banning those who speak up.

Here's a theory for you, what if the bump admin are the ones trolling us?
It's absolutely ridiculous how long they let that thread go on for when the troll was an obvious troll and was reported multiple times. There have been other threads were very mild in nature compared to yesterday's and they were shut down almost instantaneously.
I agree with bringing member mods back, they can remain more neutral and are generally more in touch with their boards than BGs. It's incredibly unfair when you have two veteran members who've participated and been assets to this board and community as evidenced above and they get warnings and jailed for minor violations towards an obvious troll. C'mon man.
The Bump has had several mass exodus in recent history, I strongly suggest if you want this community to continue to flourish, you maintain some consistency when it comes to warnings, thread closures, etc. Every year, it seems to continue to get worse as far as TOU implementation and such. Consistency is key.
@nlwz123 Out of curiosity, I actually clicked on the "jobs" tab at the bottom of the webpage to see what happened. Idk if any of these are the same positions that monitor the boards or not. Unfortunately, I don't live in Austin or NYC but yeah. It must be that whoever is appointed to monitor the boards doesn't have time to read each and every post, likely because they have another job to do. At least I hope so because otherwise I don't understand the inconsistency. I agree with PPs that member moderators would be more ten times more effective. I wonder what made them make the switch in the first place (liability? who knows)...it makes no sense.

Free @antoto and @adirat It doesn't send a very good message banning all the contributing, well-known, TOP POSTING users on the forum and allowing trolls to run a-muck in the community to drive out the rest of the non-trolling members. Since mass exodus' seem to keep occurring, maybe it is a sign that whatever you all are doing is not the most effective form of management? Thoughts to consider while you continue to ignore us.
All of @adirat posts are back!!!!! Yes, we did it ladies!!! I'm not quite sure how but they actually listened to our pleas and freed them both! I agree with @antoto that we need to turn this into a dance party!

The inconsistency and unfair application of the rules, added to the lack of response from the admins, really makes me question my participation on this board. While I certainly care about the women on this board and I'm so thankful for the knowledge they shared with me (and I hoped to share with those who came after me), I don't care to be held to a double standard that hurts the established members of the community while providing implicit support for those who come here with the intent to mock, troll, and be unkind to it's members. There are certainly other boards to hold these conversations, including boards that have a similar science-based approach.

I for one am still pissed that this even happened. And I know myself and other members got warnings yesterday that were equally unjustified, if not much more tame one-offs, and yet they still stand. Doublestandardmuch?

It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
We would like to take a second to apologize for the mistake we made in banning @antoto and @adirat. There was a miscommunication internally on the dates of the users' previous warnings, and in turn, we ended up banning the wrong members. We are working hard to make sure errors like this don’t happen again and appreciate you alerting us of the mistake we made. Sincere thanks for your continued patience and understanding.
