QOTW: Have you or will you be sending a “thank you” to your IVF
doc/office? If so, what are some ideas or thoughts on what to give?
If you have updated bump pics, please share! We love seeing these baby bellies!!! Or if you'd like to share a pic of your little one's nursery, feel free to share that cuteness as well!

Re: 3rd Trimester Check-in: Week of Jan. 30
Looking forward to my doc appointment this Friday as I have been having burning pain in my abdomen lately and wondering if I pulled an ab muscle from the stretching of the baby belly, or if I detached the placenta (talk about freak out after I read that in my "What to Expect..." book). I think that because my placenta attached in front and I'm super paranoid something is going to go wrong because of it. I'm still feeling baby move and otherwise feel fine, but just can't overdue otherwise I'm in pain. Which I did this weekend with building furniture and cleaning my son's room in prep for moving things over to the baby's room. So now I just need to chill for a little while.
QOTW: I was thinking of stopping by the IVF office sometime after the baby is born and bring a thank you card with a picture of the family and a box of candy for the office. They have a strict policy about not bringing kids to the IVF office, so I will have to plan it when my husband or my Mom are around to come with me to watch the kids. I just can't think of anything else creative. I just wonder how often people do this. But I'm super appreciative for all that they did for me to be able to complete my little family, so I'd like to show it in some way.

I think that your thank you sounds amazing!

Two cancelled IUIs in Aug and Sept '15 due to low motility/count
IVF round 1: January 2016
ER: February 17, 2016; 9 retrieved, 7 mature, 7 fertilized
Day 5 Blastocysts: 5 BB, 1 AB, all normal from PGS
FET date: May 11, '16; transferred 1 AB embryo
First beta: May 23, '16: 998!! Second: May 25, '16: 1648
EDD: January 27, 2017
My c-section is going to be scheduled sometime during the week of March 20th, though I don't know when yet. I'm hoping these three littles stay put until then, though anytime during March would be great! I have an MFM appointment on Wednesday and have invited my MIL to come (my mom went to the last one with me), so it'll be her first time seeing the babies not in a picture or video on my phone! I know she's excited that I've asked her to come!
I have surprisingly been feeling mostly okay. Sure I have some bad heartburn and carpal tunnel isn't fun, but I'll endure it for these babies!
I had my baby shower yesterday, which was fun (except the opening presents part, I hate being stared at)! We got a lot of things that weren't on our registry, and I'm pretty sure only 2 things were purchased from our BRU registry, which doesn't help much with their 10% coupon thing. Bummer!
QOTW: I had planned to send a birth announcement to them, and probably bring the babies by when we make the trip up there to visit with everyone else in that area.
@pdbird I'm glad that you were able to help your lump! I hope that wearing non underwire will prevent it from happening again.

@pdbird a clogged milk duct sounds painful. Good thing a warm compress helped you. I also have a random feeling of a pulled muscle on the side of my stomach. It kinda feels like a camp you get during running. It comes and goes so I'm thinking its stretching in my belly. Hopefully the dr can confirm its not a detached placenta.
@aanddm2014 that's a bummer bother was bought from your registry but glad you had a nice shower.
Qotw I want to do something for the office. I may ask my sister to wait for me and we can send something together as we used the same facility and have both been seen by the two re's.
The lump is back again today so I've been massaging and putting more warm compresses on it. Seems to help, but makes me nervous. Looking forward to Friday!

We are 28w5d with di/di twin girls after 5 IUI attempts but successful first IVF/FET with our only 2 PGS normal embryos. Due date is 4/19/17 but will deliver by 38 weeks (4/5).
Next appointnent is Friday and other than feeling slower, having indigestion, and a new insomnia problem, all is well!
I will definitely send baby pics to our RE once they arrive, with flowers probably, but may get some more creative ideas from you all. We are so grateful to them.
@pdbird - hope the warm compresses and massage do the trick, but if not, and lump gets harder/bigger/more painful - call your Doc. Would hate for you to get mastitis or an abscess.
@AandDM2014 - yay for delivery date being scheduled! Our shower isn't planned until 33weeks so starting to worry about waiting to get stuff, not getting what we wanted, buying the remainder, and having it set up before babies arrive (hopefully not until after that at least!) also, still planning on cloth diapering, so am worried I won't have time to wash and practice folding everything before these girls make their arrival.
@ale9687 - also had some serious nesting going on this weekend, and a friend helped me clean out the garage some (we moved in 3 years ago but still have some unopened boxes out there) and am seriously sore and worn out today. Be nice to yourself and rest...advice I am not so good about taking myself ;-)
@dragonfaerie - congrats on your wee boy, he is beautiful and you worked so hard to get him here (I was lurking from 2nd tri).
first RE visit 11/15, me - blocked left tube and Low AMH, DH - low count, motility not great

Glad to hear everyone is doing well.
Nothing too exciting going on this week. I'm 29 + 1 today. Had an appt last Friday - got TDAP and heard baby's heartbeat. Baby has been MOVIN lately - love it! I scheduled a pediatrician visit next week, so looking forward to that.
QOTW - I went by my RE's office a couple days before Christmas and passed out Christmas cards with special notes on the back for both of my REs and both of my nurses. Got to see one RE and one nurse and of course started crying right when I saw them. Was pretty awesome to tell them and SHOW them how much of an impact they have made on our lives. Tearing up just thinking about it! We will also be bringing baby by their office once I feel up to it - they have a wall of baby footprints from all their successes! Looking forward to adding to it!

@pdbird that clogged duct sounds painful! I have been wearing the wireless nursing bras for a few weeks now and they are much more comfortable!! The pain in your ab area could be just stretching... I have had a lot of that as well.
@dragonfaerie glad to hear you are doing well!!
@aanddm2014 sorry to hear people didn't buy off your registry- im sure with three babies to buy for people went with the fun option-clothes!
I am 36 weeks and definitely feeling babes head much lower in my pelvis... have had a bunch a braxton hicks and getting a bit uncomfortable but nothing to complain about- overall feeling pretty great. Going to the bathroom so much- literally waking up six times a night to go, it is ridiculous. Thankfully I can go right back to sleep. Fatigue is setting back in.
I made a bunch of freezer meals this weekend with my mom and sister which was super fun and it is nice to have some meals stocked up! I have an OB appointment this week and will have them weekly now until I give birth.
QOTW: I plan on at least sending a baby announcement and a thank you card, but I would love to drop off some treats or something for the office. I won't be bringing baby- they don't allow newborns in the office I don't think. I know I wouldn't have appreciated someone being in there with a baby when I was a patient so I will avoid that.

@chicandbubbly - Talk about final stretch! It's you and @NurseTMD85 who will be delivering next unless we have a surprise from one of the lovely ladies having twins!
Thanks everyone for the well wishes and advice. The nursing bras are super comfortable and it was good planning on my part that they arrived the Friday before the clogged duct happened.
I too have been nesting and purging (I think it's my new favorite hobby

@dragonfaerie hope you and Riley are settled in! Thanks for the idea of the camis on the randoms board-I may use the three maternity ones I have as I am pretty sure they won't fit for too long after she is born....can't wait to snuggle her!!!!!
@AandDM2014 I had seen some other ladies post that a lot of people don't really buy off the registry so I am trying to prepare myself for getting those things we really need. My family lives in Canada (I'm in Atlanta) so they have bought a lot of stuff off the registries for me which was awesome! Hope your glucose checks the next few weeks go well
@chicandbubbly what kinds of meals did you make to freeze? I am never big on freezing because I never think to pull stuff out to thaw, but feel like having some meals in reserve would be great (and having DH buy us a stand alone freezer since right now we only use the one in our fridge
@pdbird I am sure that all the poking through IVF helps in getting used to checking your blood but still annoying, did they say how long after delivery you have to continue?
AFM nothing going on this week. I finally felt baby girl have the hiccups! Twice and only for like 20-30 seconds but it was so cute. We are starting our pediatrician interviews this week as well but got two great personal recommendations from friends for one so likely going to go there.
QOTW: We were pretty close to our IVF staff, especially my original IVF nurse. During our treatments we would bring gourmet donuts so at Christmas we gave them all Christmas cards with ultrasound pic of baby girl and (of course!) more donuts. Some of them are attending our shower and I will definitely want to come up with a great gift after her birth. Our RE office also has a policy of no babies in the office, but one time someone brought her babies in on the day we were coming to discuss our failed IVF and discuss DE, it was heartbreaking, so even when I went in at Christmas I wore a really loose shirt so my preggo belly wasn't showing and the nurses took me in their back office to fawn over me which I appreciated as I know how hard it is to sit in that waiting room babyless

@chicandbubbly - OMG, I love all your recipes and frozen meals! This is awesome. I'm going to use some of them. Another good one is enchiladas. I boil chicken breasts, shred the meat, heat the tortillas up in the microwave, roll them and place them in a foil pan. Then cover with sauce & cheese, then cover them with press n seal, then freeze. Reheat in the over at 350 for 15-20 minutes after defrosting them in the fridge since the AM. Just an idea.

I officially have more than 8 pounds of baby in me! Blood pressure was great, no protein in my urine, so looks like we're chugging along for another 2 weeks. I also got my second Rhogam shot, that was fun.
