My husbands grandmother has been calling everyday for the last two weeks, and I know she's just being caring but she's making us supper allllllll the time. Makes me feel inadequate like she doesn't think i'm providing for him. It'd be different but it's quite frequent lately.
Okay, so Im not a cryer, like ever. But I have found that anything dog related really gets me now. Dog dying, dog getting adopted, dog doing something cute, the list goes on.
So a bit of back story, I work in a large office building in a office park, and the company that I can see from out my window is a science company. Specifically they make robots, and they test them outside. They have a humanoid one (which is super cool) and they have one that looks like a dog. Well yesterday they were testing the dog on some stairs in the back of their parking lot, so I was watching, and then all of a sudden it fell down the stairs. Well I immediately started crying, because the dog might be hurt. This is despite the fact that this dog is not real, its made of metal, and cant feel, but man watching it fall, really got to me. I feel like a crazy person!
I also cried at the end of Petes Dragon (the new one).

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
Sobbing mess yesterday because I've had a cold for 10 days and I'm so over it, and my Facebook feed is so depressing with all the new news, and then when DH pulled me in for a hug, it squashed one of my boobs so hard that it still hurt this morning (in reality, the hug was no firmer than usual, the breasts are just super sensitive)
Because i read a story about a mum marrying off her daughter and i was in FLOODS imagining dd getting married one day.... I'm reallllly not a crier usually and after a few mins i was laughing at myself but still *sob* *sob*. Off to find my big girl panties and actually cook dinner. Had to swipe my eyes when Dh came home or else he would laugh at me for days..
It may be easier to list why I am not crying. Reasons why I have cried this week:
1) Food. I wanted both a Big Mac, Taco bell, mashed avocado with lime/salt, and fresh pasta from my favorite Italian restaurant. Incidentally my favorite restaurant is a 16 hour car ride and six states away.
2) Family. My son bumped his already injured head and his old injury looks worse now. My son gently kissed the snowman on his pillow good night. I had a few minutes to relax on the couch and hug and cuddle my husband. Looked out my front window and saw an ambulance, cop cars, fire dept at my in-laws house (they live across the street) and no one called to tell/warn me.
3) NT scan took almost an hour and I was worried. Baby was active, then sleepy and had a great HR. My son got to come with us to the NT scan and see the baby. Got good results from the NIPT bloodwork.
These are all legitimate reasons to cry. I want to cry because DS won't stop dumping stuff out, food, toys, whatever. I'm tired of picking it up. Please just stop!
I caught my son spitting his water like a fountain onto his tray at lunchtime. I almost died. At least this time he wasn't shouting, "Bath! Bath!" like he did the first time he did it.
I was a sobbing mess when I carried my newborn niece for the first time. first, I didn't realize just how tiny they are and second, made me realize that I will soon have a newborn too. it was just too much to handle.
I've been on the phone all morning, first dealing with my new washer and dryer that has just been sitting in the middle of my entryway for over a week and was supposed to be installed today until someone cancelled the appointment with no notification. Then calling different job recruiters to find out why my 96 applications have gone nowhere. So far I have managed to avoid breaking down until I hang up, but there were a few close calls.
I got to help in my son's classroom yesterday, and at recess I sat down on a bench outside. One of the kindergarten girls came and sat by me, so I asked her why she didn't want to play, and she said "this is the bench for kid's that don't have anyone to play with. Someone will see me sitting here and come ask me to play with them." And not even a minute later, a little group of girls came over and asked her if she wanted to join them. Freaking cutest thing ever.
@ca17ra your story made me tear up! I have heard of those benches and wondered if they really worked, and its super cool to know they do!

Mommy to a super cute havanesse puppy and baby boy!
Also yesterday I drove past my house by an exit just to make my 3 year old fall asleep. She did! I got her out of the car and she was still asleep! And then my husband pulled in for his lunch break and she immediately up her head and says "daddy's home". I cried.
I had a mental breakdown yesterday over insurance. My insurance is amazing and I have it through my job. My contract is yearly and is up in July. I'm terrified of telling my boss that I'm pregnant and then he decides he won't renew my contract because I want 8 weeks for maternity leave minimum. Then I won't have insurance and would have to go on my husband's which is not nearly as good. I broke down crying on the phone to one of my best friends who just got a freaking Mirena and has no idea what pregnancy hormones can do to you...ugh.
Is anyone else worried/crying about insurance woes? :'(

Just cried over how sweet my two year old is. He said his best friend was sick so he gave him a hug to feel better. Big fat happy tear. Now let's just hope son doesn't catch it.
My husband was going to the store, and I REALLY wanted those giant chewy sweettart things. So much so that I googled them to get a picture to send to DH to ensure he got the right thing. He came home with the mini round sweettarts. And then I cried. Poor DH!
@Kathryn0903 YESSS, I cried at Grey's too! I felt so bad for the poor girl....though I'm dying to know what she did to get herself in there in the first place!
Re: Why My Pregnant Self is Crying - 1/26
I ended up calling my H in tears telling him I just couldn't make dinner and could we please go to Taco Bell instead.
