He started getting little red bumps on Tuesday, but I assumed they were a rash. Sent him to daycare as usual. Then last night I realize some of the bumps got bigger and started blistering, and he's got them in his ears, on his face, scalp, tummy, back, and diaper area.
It seems mild, but poor thing. Apparently it's going around at daycare and 2 other babies had it recently. I thought it was relatively rare in babies.
It's also a lot harder to identify at first than I thought it would be. He's not even acting sick.
Thanks guys! He has a low-grade fever now and I think he has a chickenpox blister in his mouth - he gets pretty fussy when he's eating and keeps touching his tongue. Other than that, he's been in a pretty OK mood and is doing well. Most of the blisters have started to scab over. We'll see - he might be able to go back to daycare tomorrow.
Re: Chickenpox
I hope your LO gets well soon!
