Ladies, help! Apparently I have no self control (and my birth control pills have failed me). Any advice? Or kind words? Just took a test this morning and confirmed it. I already knew but now it's for sure. I'm really upset about it and feel like I'm robbing my 6 month old of the attention she should be getting as my little baby.

First - Congrats! (Even though its super scary right now)
Second - it's okay to feel everything you are feeling! Especially considering it was sudden. I have no advice, other than don't feel like you are robbing your 6 month old of attention. You are giving her a sibling, which is a great gift! I stumbled upon this article a couple weeks ago, and it helped me see a different side to things, maybe it'll help too:
Congratulations! I can't say it any better than @DeriveMyPi-giving her a sibling is such a great gift! My sister and I are about 20 months apart and we have always been very close. H&H 9 months to you! Keep us updated
Congratulations!!! This is a fantastic thing and you will not be robbing your July baby of anything so long as you make sure to give each child lots of love, positive attention and affection. Your concern for your baby only shows me that you are a caring and considerate mother. My advice is to feel the apprehension but also allow your joy and excitement over this new life take over. Let yourself and your family (baby included) feel happiness and overflowing love. Do everything you can to provide for and protect both babies, as I hope you have done for your first. Again, my congratulations to you.
So, I'm sad to report that we have experienced a miscarriage. For now it looks like Olivia will be an only child for awhile longer. Thanks for all your kind words and support.

Good Luck Momma! You can do this, and you will be a great momma to both kids!

My girls are 16 months apart. They love each other so fiercely...and in a way that I don't think they would if their age gap was different.
You can do it, momma!
