Maternity clothes & bras

Never really wore maternity clothes last time, just bought bigger joggers and jeans. Are the pants worth it? I don't have such a casual job like I did last time and wondering where the best investment for mat clothes are. Any suggestions?

Also my boobs hurts, I've been wearing a low impact sport bra when I don't need to come in contact with people but I feel like a slob. Any one else going through the same thing?

Bras are the worst. I always enjoyed the cloths and bras from Motherhood Maternity.

Maternity pants are LYFE. Go grab yourself a few pairs. I buy a lot of mine used because the cost. But I have to say, I was very excited to see that second line so I could start wearing my pretties.

I'm also interested in advice for bras. Go figure that I broke down and ordered some new ones the day before BFP (there was a sale I couldn't pass up and things were starting to get desperate in my lingerie drawer), but I'm holding off on wearing them since I'm trying to see if I'll need to exchange for a larger size in the next 45 days.

Especially interested in hearing about others on the small side (I'm a 32b) or about maternity bras vs sizing up.

Where did you get yours? I feel like I will have to make a trip over the border to Target. I've only seen Old Navy (their sizes suck for me as I am pretty tiny in the waist but tall) and Thyme Maternity (can't justify the cost uness they are extremely worth it). How do you size out what you need?

@icecubeinthedesert I'm a 32c normally and BF with DS1 I ended up going to a 34 DD and lived in non wired nursing. I recommend more support but I don't know where to begin.

I love Gap maternity clothes. I always try and hit their sale racks. Good thing is we will mostly be bigger in summertime so dresses are great! DD was born in October, so throughout that pregnancy I wore maternity shorts/tops and dresses.

Target, Old Navy and Motherhood.
I was a 30d to start and went to a 32dd by the end...just bought as I needed but purchased the same bra I normally wear, just kept sizing up. That and the cotton nursing bras at Target...

i was pregnant during sumner last time too (same due date this time!) and I lived in maxi skirts/tanks, dresses and I had a good pair of nice boyfriend jeans from Pea in a Pod (pricey but worth it).

to answer your question...YES you will love and bed bottoms fit for maternity. WAY more comfy and attractive than just bigger sized jeans. Try eBay as well!

@kaylaakosua I always go into maternity consignment stores and watch Facebook sell sites. I like motherhood leggings. Thyme jeans and old navy jeans fit me really well. Have you tried gap and h&m?

I haven't noticed any in H&M but to be honest I've never looked there.

I will have to try the Gap. I'm thinking I will spend most of the summer in Texas hopefully so I might never leave the house and just be nekkie all the time

. I cannot wait to move to the States I miss Target so freakin much.

I never bought real maternity pants either! I did buy Motherhood leggings, but will not be doing so this time around because both pairs had holes all through the inner thighs by my third month wearing them.

I'm not sure how dressed up you need to be for work, but I lived in regular maxi skirts that were 1-2 sizes bigger than normal, and soft palazzo pants with stretchy waistbands, also 1-2 sizes bigger than normal. I wore the maxi skirts with plain colored fitted v-neck t-shirts, the BumpStart brand from Motherhood, and the palazzo pants could be worn with the same shirts or blouses.

I found a lot of my other clothes at consignment stores. I also really loved the BumpStart shirts I mentioned. I wore them all the way until I went back to work, 12 weeks after giving birth, and was sad to put them away! They work great for breastfeeding as well, because they are so stretchy so you can just pop your boob out the top with no difficulty. I will be buying more of them this time around in different colors!

For bras, I started wearing seamless no-underwire styles. My boobs were so sore I couldn't stand underwire pretty early in my first pregnancy. After giving birth, I bought a couple Gillian O'Malley nursing bras from Target and have been wearing them ever since. I will be purchasing the same brand this time around, in two different sizes, because 16 months into nursing DD, my boobs are definitely back to pre-pregnancy size. Sad day. Good thing I'm preggo again!

Target has some good options for maternity pants and bras. They use to have the best maternity bra for only 12.99...but stopped selling it a few years ago sadly. Now their replacement hurts my nips.

Anyone have any suggestions for maternity bra's for 42DD (maybe soon to be bigger)? I hate thick straps...and prefer cotton with a wire.

For bras, I went up so many cup sizes. I bought motherhood maternity, but this time I will probabaly be fitted at Nordstrom or Dillard's so I know they fit right. I also hated underwire with my first pregnancy. I didn't go back to my normal cup size until my son was 14-16 months old.

Underwire while pregnant is the devil. I carried my son so high that I had bruised ribs and the underwire would cause so much discomfort. This time I am going with a nursing bra with no underwire. I actually can't wait.
