Soooo just for fun... I wanted to start an old wives tale gender prediction thead. I think they are silly but I like entertaining family members sonwe have startes doing some.
So far we have done the chinese gender prediction. It says girl. Both my girls were said to be boys lol so we will see. My SIL had me pee on baking soda... We got foam so we are 1:1 for each sex so far lol.

Anyone else giving in to silly antics?

My mother told me that since my oldest daughter was kind of distant from me during my second pregnancy, I was having a girl (she was right). Now that I'm pregnant a third time, both girls are SUPER clingy and always underneath me. So, she's predicting a boy. Time will tell.

My oldest was like this with our last as well! She didn't want anything to do with me, she was 6 then. Turned 7 a month before DD2 was born! Now both girls are both excited. Who knows!

Sickness: I've only thrown up once, but had horrible diarrhea. With my son, I threw up constantly.

I made this for our reveal. I chose boy for my intuition, only because I've had boy dreams. I'm 0 for 2 in guessing my kids sexes, lol!

I've shared this previously but here's my mom's crazy tale that's 3/3 with her:

Conceived in the morning and/or on top: Boy. Boy sperm swim faster in the morning and are tired by afternoon and slow down (think Sprinters). So they swim stronger upstream than the girls in the morning too

Conceived in the afternoon and/or on bottom: Girl since their speeds are constant throughout the day (long-distance runners) so by afternoon the boys are all tired and girls are still going strong.

Not sure how true this is but she swears by it and tells me she planned all her pregnancies based on this. I would be having a girl if I believed her. Also craving pancakes which is a sign of a girl. But as of yesterday I think it's a boy. We will know in about 2 weeks!!

Judging by the chalkboard sign above, I'm mostly going for a girl but not by much.

I elected to do genetic screening and in another 6 to 9 days I'll know with 95% probability what we're going to have.

Morning sickness: no (boy)
Cravings: all over the place and I was mostly salty except for oreos with my DD: either
Heartbeat was 144 so some things say boy and some say girl: either
I sleep on mostly the right and I used to sleep on the left : girl
I am so moody, but mostly toward my daughter. Like zero patience and she prefers my husband and misses him so much lately. Probably because I'm so snappy and irritable: girl
Balance is great: girl
Skin: I've gotten random pimple lately: girl
Chinese calendar: girl (this was the only thing right last time)
Mayan calendar: girl
I've craved pancakes so much and I never ate them before: girl
Conceived at night and highly possibly also om the bottom: so girl
My intuition: I'm nervous to verbalize because I can't deny I want a 2nd girl (and it looks pretty good with all the wives tales) but I hate to get my hopes so much for a girl because I am scared I'll be sad if it's a boy. Right now keeping my mind open for either makes me calm and prepared for either!
Remind me when the normally do that ultrasound?

We won't know for a few weeks but I'd like to jot down what's up with me and then come back and see if I was right!

Chinese Calendar: Girl
Mayan Calendar: Girl
Sick a lot: Girl - I'm so nauseous and hurling more than I ever did with my son! Also had diarrhea the other day.
Acne/not glowing: Girl - I have acne on my hairline like it's taking me back to my 14 yo high school days!
HB +/- 140: Girl, HB @ 180 at our 8wk4d appt.
Sleeping on: Girl - I sleep on my right
Balance: Girl - I'm still graceful even at Pure Barre
Cravings: Girl - Sweet. I crave fruits and Smoothie King. Meat, eggs, and other food make me sick and hurl.
Feet: Boy - they're cold
Mood: Girl - I feel like I'm such a BIA this time around.

I have a handsome 2yo son, a girl would be great for the family and we can be done! LOL, we'll see.

Right now its looking girl, but we will find out in March!

My MIL is convinced its a boy, because she thinks the men in that family only ever produce boys, but I hate to break it to her, her husband had a sister (who was stillborn). So its not like girls are that far off. Plus just becuase there is a long history of one or the other, doesnt mean that wont change. My mom and Aunt are the first girls in a LONG line of men.

I know DH wants a girl (probably to prove his mom wrong HA), and I think I might as well, but in reality, I just want a healthy baby!

I'm torn between what I think it is, just because this pregnancy is so different from the one with my son. With him I was super sick but other then that not much. This time around I'm not sick, I'm sleepy ALL the time, and I have acne like I'm in high school again. It will be interesting if all these test are right.
