Hey mamas!

I am am wondering if any of you second (or third or fourth  :) ) timers have recommendations on convertible strollers? I have one DD who will be 2.5 when baby arrives, and we want a few more kids after this, so I want something I can change to my needs.

Currently looking at the Baby Jogger City Select, maybe the Uppababy Vista but not sure about spending that much unless it's really worth it.

Re: Stroller Reccommendations

  • My daughter will be almost 2 I'm thinking of the sit and stand grace so the car seat can snap in the front. Lexi likes to move and doesn't love a stroller but she's a runner so I'm just nervous about not having her strapped lol

  • I had the Uppababy Cruz and I was obsessed with that stroller, I wanted the Vista but didn't know about it when DS was that young, I got the Cruz when he was 10m old. I have no need for a stroller this time but I would totally get the Vista. Resale value is great to on local BST boards.

  • I have an almost 11m old now & purposely purchased the uppababy vista due to the expansion capabilities. I LOVE this stroller! It is an investment but we're wanting 3-4 kidds & did not want to have to buy another stroller as our family expands. I am excited to add LO to our family in Sept & know that our stroller will easily accommodate both kiddos.
  • The City Select is really, really nice.
  • @Sprite2012 I'm thinking I might go with it...I found a deal for only $350ish, hard to pass up!
  • @gabby94  Where did you find that awesome deal?!
  • @Sprite2012

Here's the link; it's only for the silver or red 2015 model, they give a 40% off code. Definitely worth it, though I would prefer black!

  • Does anyone have the Uppababy Vista 2013 with the rumble seat?
  • I have last year's Uppa Baby Vista. DD is 10 months old and we knew we wanted more kids, so we got it since it was easily convertible. A few notes on it-

I really like it. But I also live in a small town and do a lot of walking. We walk to the grocery store, dry cleaner, etc. The stroller is not small. So I would gauge your potential use for it before you buy. I like it because it is big, with a huge bin underneath. But it can be very cumbersome if you are using it for casual shopping trips or occasional walks around the neighborhood. If you live in an apartment or anywhere with stairs to get in and out of the house, I wouldn't suggest it. Traveling with it is kind of ridiculous because of it's size, so we bought a smaller umbrella stroller.

Overall, I am extremely happy with it, but you should figure out how you plan to use it before you get one.
  • I have the city select and LOVE it!!! I so wish I had invested in one earlier than I did. My WAY above average 3 year old fits nicely and I use my second seat when I have my niece or happen to babysit for friends. It has the skateboard attachment for older kids too but we only plan on having 2 so I shouldn't have to use that. I bought mine off of a local yard sale site for a great deal and since you can just take all the covers off I just threw everything in the washer and it looks brand new.
  • I have a Ub vista 2015 in georgie blue.honestly i hate it. It sooo bulkie and my trunk isnt small. Sure its beautiful and versatile but just plain inconvenient to lug around. going to get rid of it and get a lightweight double stroller. Im considering  joovys ultralight caboose

    Blessed  <3o:)
  • I have a city select also and absolutely love it!  I bought mine years ago in black, but have since upgraded to purple seats :D. Love the purple!
  • If anyone has a sky high budget, Silver Cross is bringing the Wave to the States soon.
  • I have an uppababy vista 2015 which I bought wholesale. I like it, but if I could do it all over again, I'd get a baby jogger city select because it is the most versatile for a double stroller.
  • I have a Britax B-Ready from when I had my 1st 5 years ago. It serves as a single or double tandem stroller. I love it. The "top" seat can face towards you so you could have the infant be on top and the older child on the bottom with the 2nd seat attachment. Or you can use the included big kid seat for your oldest on top and use an attachment on the bottom for the infant seat. I've used it with my two kids and now will use it with our 3rd. We also have a Bob duallie jogger. We use that everywhere where there is space (not ideal for shopping haha!) we did hundreds of trips to Disneyland when we had passes with our BOB. On top of these, we also have a Mountain Buggy Echo for travel - it folds down into suitcase size! We used that for our oldest and a Tula carrier for the youngest (she was 1.5 yrs old) when we went to Europe for two weeks two years ago :)

I might look into that travel stroller! I fly alone with my DD at least 3-4 times a year (I like to visit family longer than DH can take off) and have always used our Ergo, no stroller. I was concerned about what to do with two!
  • Just wanted to share this cute stroller accessory I found: leather handlebar/belly bar covers!
