My bank changed their hours to closing at 4 on weekdays and no more Saturday hours. How is anyone supposed to make it in there?!

Whoever built my house seems to have randomly used metal reinforced studs some places and regular wood studs other places. It is practically impossible to mount shelves and other things that need to get into the studs on some walls.

In my 10 years as a parent I've never had a child do this.

I am really impressed you have made it this long without dealing with that DS1 goes straight for "mah poop" when I open his diapers.

@Stankonia2014 I can't believe you've made it 10 years either! DS us never ventured into his diaper but I can only imagine my reaction...and I see kids do some groooosssssss things at work.

Wtf to my coworker that has the same job title as me. He and I manage the entire field staff for the business unit we work in together and then we have a director that oversees what we do and is there for backup. Well, my coworker who is old enough to be my grandpa and has been doing this job for 15 years. He has weird rules about when he can work. No traveling to our headquarters on Mondays, Fridays, or around holidays becuase too much traffic. Can't work out in the field becuase he has a bad back. Can't answer phone calls while driving becuase he gets distracted. Some of his employees have been coming to me for different things know and our director is questioning why. I honestly don't know what he does with his time. He says he does visits at some of our employees farms but never records them or turns in mileage for them. Wtf is he doing with his time, besides collecting a pay check?! And why am I working my ass off and still working in the field at least once a week.

last night was a "birthday dinner" for my nephew, pizza was planned, we were asked to bring a bottle of soda, no biggie. we show up to my MIL's at 6pm and she tells us there was confusion as to who was ordering the pizza and now it will take an hour an a half to make a large pizza and a party size pizza. No dinner until 7:30?!?!?!?! not to mention i am in bed at 8pm on the dot. i practically fell asleep at the table waiting for dinner to arrive like a little kid. she broke out a box of girl scout cookies b/c she felt bad for the prego

My wtf is for our u/s tech today. I thought she was really good because she was informing us of everything the whole time and told us she's been doing this since '84. We told her that we didn't want to know the sex but we had a card for her to circle the sex and then insert the pic of proof. I thought right from the beginning that I was seeing a penis but I was like nooo, she would know better than for that to be so obvious. Then she said "his" twice. And then I left the room to go pee and as I walked away I could have sworn I heard her say, "boy" while saying something to my husband. So we left and I said, "so did she totally blow it after I left the room and say boy??" And he was like "no, she said 'baby'". I believed him because I wanted to believe she wouldn't screw up that bad. I know you know where this story goes: tonight we opened the card with our family and then he told me I was right, she said "I gotta go get the pic of this boy in the card" and then apparently immediately realized her major faux pas and was swearing about what an idiot she is, etc. I couldn't believe it. I was so pissed that she ruined our reveal!! How do you do this job for so long and deal with so many people all the time who don't want to know and blow it like that??? I'm so glad we were only going a few hours before finding out or my poor hubby would have had to keep that to himself or blow it for me, too!

@JAGinMI, sometimes I hear stories like yours and I have to think they get some sort of sick satisfaction out of ruining it for parents. I'm sorry, that sucks, but yay for boys!

My late WTF Wednesday. Is why can't I make friends??? I'm nice, slightly snarky but I can bake you brownies if I really upset you. We are military and most of my friends are moving in the next 2 months. And my husband has lots of training this year. I need friends to keep me sane!! By the time April comes I will literally have 2 friends left. I have a couple playdates coming up so hopefully I click with someone or I'm going to start having (more) conversations with my dogs.

Hopefully someone new and amazing will move near you soon. We were active duty military too. I could never get used to people moving away. Big hugs.

@LAMCH1980 thanks. For some reason this place has been the hardest to make friends. It's duty station #4 so you would think I'd be good at this. Maybe I'm too old haha.

@michaela0704 no I'm in GA but I'm kinda sorta near Savannah.

@awoodruff27 I feel your pain. I've been in for 16 years and it's hard to make friends when you move every few years unless you are fortunate enough to homestead somewhere and sometimes the wives clubs can be messy and way more drama than they are worth!

@Wearmi1 yeah wives in general are full of drama. That's a lot of my problem. I've lost my patience for stupidity, and lost my filter. I need to find a fellow old lady who wants to sit at the park with our water bottles filled with wine (water for now) while our children run around and we spot all the LLR. Ahhh the dream.
