OY, YOU GUYS. So I was supposed to have my scheduled C yesterday (39 w), because little miss mischief has been breech (then not breech, then breech again), plus I have this pesky low placenta. Se we got up yesterday at 4:30, to get to the hospital for a 5:30am pre-op...and she is no longer breech. So they put me on a monitor, and I was appearing to be having mild contractions, and LMM looked great, moving around so much she was kicking the monitors. After 20 minutes, the OB who was supposed to do the C checked my cervix, which set off stronger contractions and crazy bleeding. So they put me back on the monitor for another half hour, everything still looked fine, but this time I was feeling the contractions. They sent us home around 8 (and by home I mean a diner for an omelette for H and some precious, rare bacon for me) and now I have an appointment for Wednesday to check everything and see where we are. I think at this point we're just going to proceed normally. If LMM is breech again when I go into labor, they'll do a C then. I've been feeling mild contractions every 2-3 hours, and I had been dilated about 2cm, so perhaps it won't be long now. BUT SERIOUSLY, OY.

@vastra oh man! I was waiting to hear your update but you're still pregnant! I guess this is good news but I'm sure disappointing that you have to wait longer. Hopefully labor is imminent!
@concreteangell Thanks! And I should add: if this is the biggest complication of the entire pregnancy, bring it. I know other ladies have had SUCH rough times, so I can handle some flippage and unpredictability. I have no problem with this kid having a mind of her own!

@Patience7150 Thanks, I think it's good news! I mean, I just want a healthy baby who comes out in the safest way possible. It was a little jarring to go in for a C and then be all "nope!" but I was a little relieved. I was feeling this weird guilt about the C, and now if I can proceed with a vag delivery, great. If we need a C after all in a couple of days, great too!

So far all bloods from yesterday have come back fine and my heartrate is a little higher than it has been the past few days (it was 40-44 & is now 60) so fingers crossed i can just go home and rest up a bit
Update: My urine test this morning came back negative for protein, but we're still waiting on the blood test to make a final call. My hypertension does appear to be a bit of a concern, so it looks like no matter what, we're inducing no later than 39 weeks (about Feb 15). Which is totally fine. If the blood test comes back positive for protein, however, I'll be induced next week. Which is a bit less fine, but I'm already so over pregnancy that I am very much whatever about it.
The doc ordered a growth scan for Friday, so I'll get to see my little dude this week!! There are no actual concerns about his growth - this is just procedural - so I'm very excited about that little bonus.
@Vastra wow! I think I'd be a bit emotional about the change of plans, but excited to possibly avoid surgery! Sorry again I didn't get any plan in place as your labor buddy. If I can help in any way, message me.

@SawyerRichardson thanks! Yeah, that was a bit of a rollercoaster, but tbh I was a bit relieved that we can just proceed normally and let her come when she's ready. Also I have to credit DH and my awesome OB for not being overly surprised, disappointed, etc. I think I have a great attitude because they did too!
