I'm meeting with the nutritionist tomorrow for GD. I had GD with my last pregnancy so I remember most of the stuff, but I'm hoping she'll have some tips on getting my fasting numbers down
I have an appointment with my midwife tomorrow which includes my glucose test. I'm feeling insecure because her office is being remodeled and I'm going to a birth center she occasionally takes call for instead, and I'm reading that that particular birth center isn't as supportive of vbac. Although I know my midwife is on my side, it makes me nervous of changes. I also really like my appointments at her cozy office and I'm worried that will all go away now since I don't know what the remodel involves, or whether it's just a physical remodel of the office or a restructuring of her business that I'm about to get caught in the middle of. *Sigh*. Pregnancy emotional moments suck, and I hope I don't have GD.
@cafedisco I'll know more in an hour. The entire business complex has been remodeling and repainting, so I don't know if that's what she means or if her actual space is affected. She said her office was being remodeled and the entryway was unsafe. I'm hoping it's temporary enough my next appointment will be there.
On another note...hello glucose test! I've got it all down now. I was a little concerned about the amount of food but it was easy.
Thankfully my midwife seems to just be borrowing space and is keeping her business her business as far as taking vbacs. She catches babies for this center sometimes, but wants to keep doing her own thing. I guess there is some serious scaffolding and construction at her office building and we'll keep going to the other location. We will miss feeding the koi . I passed my glucose test.
I had my appointment this afternoon, gained another freaking 7 lbs. Meh, whatevs. Baby sounds good, but I'm measuring four weeks ahead! She made a comment last month, too, about how much of a growth spurt I'd had. If I'm still measuring that far ahead next appointment (officially every 2 weeks now!!!!) then she's sending me for an ultrasound. Me and my gigantic ass babies, I swear.
I had an appointment today as a follow up from when my Dr sent me to the hospital Friday. All is well, I just need to stay on the blood pressure medication and keep monitoring it twice daily. He said that the bio physical profile came back saying everything with baby is good and on track. The fact that it said frank breech at this point is insignificant because he will move a million times from now until delivery. He also said that I can continue to sleep on my stomach for as long as I am comfortable doing and in no way did that cause baby to be frank breech (yay! I was terrified it was my fault). I'm measuring 32 cm at 29+1 but he isn't concerned at all. I lost 4 lbs since Friday but I contribute it to being sick and stressed and he said not to worry. I will now begin weekly appointments and have the next 9 scheduled.
@KirstinH88 today was a professional day so no students. Because I'm still sick my principal told me to just come t work after my appointment. I didn't get to work until 12, my team caught me up on what I missed for the day and I left by 2. I decided to come home and do report cards in the comfort of my own home instead of at work. I'll let you know how the kids are tomorrow!
Had my 29 week appt yesterday plus growth ultrasound. Miss Ruby is about 3 lbs and right on track. My fluid level is back in the normal range(it was elevated) I have GD so I'm going to have 2 appts a week starting at 32 weeks with fluid checks and NSTs. My numbers still aren't great even with the diet. So they restarted me on meds to attempt to control my numbers more. It. Is. Awful. Makes my blood sugar crash!!! I'm so glad my 4 yo was here to bring some juice. I could feel the darkness creeping in and no doubt I was about to go down. Ugh. I'm hoping they'll cut the dose in half or something.
Also so I am having awful pain, like double over when trying to walk or do anything. She feels it's probably my c section scar adhesions ripping and my abs from my last csection. I have no idea how I'm going to make it another 10 weeks.
@Mama5181 I'm sorry to hear things aren't going so well right now. Hang in there and keep your eyes on the "prize". Be sure to keep a sweet snack/bottle of juice or something handy at all times just in case.
@Mama5181 What meds did they put you on for GD? I haven't been able to get my numbers low enough either - I'm meeting with my high risk dr on Monday and I have feeling he's going to put me on meds too.
@Nolegirl1185 I am always armed with OJ and skittles which makes DD very happy. Lol
@dam0ne4 they have me on 2.5 mg of Glyburide. I'm really not a fan. My bff had such troubles with it too. Her blood sugar would bottom out too. I will give it one more day at this dose then I'm telling the OB I need to take half. My sugar drops to like 37 when it crashes. It's so scary.
Had my 28 week (28+3) appointment today. They did a sono and baby girl is measuring a couple days ahead. She weighs 2 pounds 11 ounces and my fluid level looks good. My BP has been back down so I don't have to keep monitoring it (yay) I go back on the 30th. It's crazy to me that I'm already at the every other week appointment stage. Then comes every week. Then comes the part where I have to push her out
I have a sonogram for my gallbladder scheduled tomorrow morning, then my monthly checkup at the OB in the afternoon. I'm supposed to get my Rhogam shot, too, so this is turning out to be a busy week!
I took my glucose test on Monday, they post the lab results online/app so it looks like I passed thankfully. I always get worried when they start commenting about my size, I'm measuring ahead again. Looks like I may anemia as well, will be talking to the dr about it on Tuesday. I have a u/s that day too to check on baby's growth, I'm sure I'm looking at another 10lb baby. I'm getting my second rhogam shot then as well, but at least both appt are back to back on the same day!
Had an appointment this morning (26 weeks). Got results from glucose test: passed and all other blood work came back fine. I was told to pre-register with the hospital and look into getting the TDAP vaccine at my next appointment. She told me I could make my decision about it, but to be honest if they recommend it I'll just do it. I also asked if I gained too much weight and she told me I am a little ahead of where I should be (gained about 26 pounds so far) so I need to start walking more/eating better. Next appointment will be in 4 weeks where they will measure how big the baby is and then I go to 3 week appointments

I'm so glad I'm not the only one dealing with a potential big baby! Let's just start praying for our lady bits now.
