How far along are you? How many weeks to you anticipate is left until baby arrives? 32 weeks. I'm measuring small (I'll rant about that later) so hopefully I go the entire 8 more weeks.

Any "special" moments with baby this week? Lots of movement, but I wouldn't say anything was special...

Any interesting pregnancy developments (for you or baby)? At my doctor's appointment they measured my belly and told me (again) that I am measuring too small. I was simultaneously worried about baby (why is she so tiny?) and also slightly angry (How dare you call me "small" when I feel like a beached whale). I have a follow-up growth ultrasound in 2 weeks to make sure she is OK and would appreciate any T&Ps between now and then for this baby to grow, Grow, GROW!

Tell us how you REALLY feel: Met with our pediatrician and she told us that anyone who wants to see baby before she gets her vaccines (at 2 months) should really have a tDap shot within the past 5 years and also strongly recommended to have the flu shot. I've been passing along this information to close family and they act like I'm out of my mine for requesting such things... My own mother straight up refused to do it and then wouldn;t respond to me for the rest of the day. Am I being unreasonable here?

GTKY: Do you love or hate winter or somewhere in the middle? Regardless, what's your favorite wintertime activity? I'm usually not a lover of winter (it's why I chose to move to the south after 4 years in Minnesnowta), but I do love the occasional snow (as long as it doesn't stick around for long) and I'm really appreciating the cold weather while pregnant! Favorite activities include ice skating, turning on the fireplace, and drinking hot chocolate or apple cider!

  • @JustAnotherUsername16 I measure small too! I'm about to go to my appointment so not sure how far, but was consistently 2-4 weeks small with DS, and he came out over 8 pounds. I think some of us just carry differently, but T&P for you! Also, really don't think you're being unreasonable about the vaccines, definitely seems like she overreacted.

How far along are you? How many weeks to you anticipate is left until baby arrives?  32 weeks! That leaves 7 weeks and a few days. YIKES.

Any "special" moments with baby this week? Just feeling like he's demolishing my insides.

Any interesting pregnancy developments (for you or baby)? Intense charlie horse cramping in my legs, hands, and arms. It's great.

Tell us how you REALLY feel: Tired? Tired. Huge. Getting a chest cold. I've said it before, but I'd really just like to sleep (comfortably) through the next seven weeks. (And then feel guilty for saying that because I should be enjoying this time with DS.)

GTKY: Do you love or hate winter or somewhere in the middle? Regardless, what's your favorite wintertime activity? Somewhere in the middle. Really not a fan of crazy cold or snow (definitely not ice). But in the summertime it's all I wish for. Here in the middle of the country we tend to get a bit of everything. Ice last weekend, and right now it's foggy and in the 50s. I would take trips to CO and snowboard when I was younger, definitely my favorite thing. Round these parts just snuggling up under blankets in my sweatpants and not having to do anything.

  • Thanks @datalover13 that actually makes me feel a lot better. During my last growth ultrasound (just two weeks ago) she was measuring in the 43rd percentile - so relatively normal. I'm pretty tall, so I'm hoping it's exactly what you said and I am just carrying differently than most. Also, I can relate on those charlie horse cramps and wanting to sleep (peacefully) through the next 8 weeks!
  • @JustAnotherUsername16 thinking of you and the babe!

How far along are you? How many weeks to you anticipate is left until baby arrives? 33 weeks so about 7 more to go

Any "special" moments with baby this week? no not really. i think she's starting to get more cramped. last night she kicked me so hard i woke up and smacked DH on accident lol

Any interesting pregnancy developments (for you or baby)? my right armpit stinks more?? i know a couple of other ladies said they were noticing they smell different. but i only notice it on y right and i swear I'm wearing deodorant haha

Tell us how you REALLY feel: i feel impatient. I'd love for these 7 weeks to fly by but they are simply dragging. i also feel huge and i really really hate the stretch marks on my ass. i'm so ready to get back in shape.

GTKY: Do you love or hate winter or somewhere in the middle? Regardless, what's your favorite wintertime activity? i'm somewhere in the middle. lived in orlando for a few years and have realized that i need the seasons for sure. it's weird being in shorts on christmas when you grew up in new england. i hate how winter drags on forever up here though. DH is in the military so we move around. i'm really hoping next place is somewhere like TN so i can get a feel for that area. i don't do much in the snow anymore lol but I'm excited for our kids to get older and have time in the snow with them.
  • How far along are you? How many weeks to you anticipate is left until baby arrives? 33 weeks. Next goal is to make it to 37 weeks, but in reality baby could come at any time now to 41.5 weeks. I went at 35w with DS.

Any "special" moments with baby this week? Baby wakes up and kicks a lot when my son starts making noise. It's so cute.

Any interesting pregnancy developments (for you or baby)? Not necessarily pregnancy related, but I pulled a groin muscle trying not to fall on the icy hospital parking lot. That's been a fun!

Tell us how you REALLY feel: I actually feel pretty good compared to my last pregnancy. I definitely have crappy days, but overall this is way more manageable. I hope it stays this way for a while.

GTKY: Do you love or hate winter or somewhere in the middle? Regardless, what's your favorite wintertime activity? I live in Wisconsin so we basically have 5-6 months of winter. Last year we had our last snowstorm on April 8th. I like it from December - January....I don't really mind the snow, but hate the cold. I love snowboarding, but can't do that now so I'm mostly hibernating. I guess my favorite wintertime activity is sleeping.

  • @justanotherusername16 Sending good thoughts your way! I do think everyone carries differently and that those measurements are so subjective. I basically had no bump last time and was "normal"...this time I've had a huge bump for a while and have still been "normal". Who knows!

32 weeks. ~8 weeks left to go!
Any "special" moments with baby this week?
Just regular movement. DH hip checked me in the belly by accident and that has caused a bruise like feeling that LO has been punching...  :/
Any interesting pregnancy developments (for you or baby)
    Nothing in particular this week

Fatigue just steamrolled me again this week. Had a two hour nap towards the end of my workday yesterday (I work from home).  :| I do feel overall pretty good though! I am hoping I can keep my weight gain in check for the last 8 weeks with the help of my new elliptical...

We have had the most pitiful winter so far this year. Way warmer than usual, way less snow... We did have a really good cold snap for about two weeks but it rained earlier this week and you can see 90% of our lawn again :( I do live in Canada though so I will have to go somewhere between in the middle to love winter! Skiing, skating and any excuse to drink lots of warm drinks are my favourite activities!

Lurking from weekend ticker changers. I made this a rule too, though I relented with our grandma's who had both had whooping cough as a kid. Not unreasonable of you at all. Maybe contact the pediatricians office and ask if they have any literature or anything about it if your relatives persist, especially your mom. I've never heard the five year figure though...I've always heard ten years, that the tetanus portion needs a booster before the pertussis part does. But I am NOT a doctor so in your case go with what your doc said!

I'm measuring slightly big so I have another ultrasound on Thursday. Honestly two weeks either way is still considered normal, so it may just be a precaution. :)

ETA: Wanted to add that fundal measurements don't really have much to do with how you are carrying...its a measure of your ute, not where it is or how big your belly is. In not really sure how subjective it is either, it's literally a tape measure, though I'm sure with individual practitioners measurements can vary a little bit just because humans. But there is a range of normal, and being a little big or small doesn't mean anything it wrong. 45th percentile seems pretty normal to me. I'd just think of it as a great chance to see your lo again!
