She is here!

Miss Delanie Kaye Lynn D. came at 12:08 am on 1/20/17!! We came in on the 18th at 1pm to get induced, and get a room. Got into one about 145 pm, and got settled in. At around 330/4 they administered a Cetadil to start inducing. My cervix seemed to remain up behind her head until I hit 4 cm. That was relatively painful, as they kept trying to pull it forward some. Did Cetadil every 2 hours, lots of walking and bouncing on the ball and and moving! They were actually going to send me home yesterday morning because I was only contracting and barely dilating. I hit 2 cm at the 3rd dose and finally at the 5th dose I got to 4 cm. So then they had me walk around a while and move. Contractions were hitting every 2 minutes and hard, and when they finally got the go for Pitocin, I was ready for sleep lol. It took 6 pokes before an iv took so that sucked, but finally got one to take! After the bag of pitocin went through, I got an epidural and after that it was only about 4 hours before I started pushing! The pitocin helped me dilate quicker and I hit an 8 before I knew it! My doctor broke my water extremely easy with her fingers and then within about an hour and a half we started to get ready. They wanted me to do some practice pushes but when I started doing that, her head crowned and by the 2nd push they told me just to keep going cause she was on her way out. Total of 8 minutes pushing and she shot out! I had one small tear, and no other problems, placenta came out just as easy lol got her up on my chest and then over to the table to weigh in and clean up some. My epidural took a while to wear off so I felt like I had jello legs for a while haha over all, while the pain was increased in this labor, it was shorter and much easier in the end :)
