March 2017 Moms

What's everyone wearing these days?

I'm on a steady clothing diet of Uniqlo heat tech leggings, super long shirts and a regular pre-pregnancy sweater/top (so, literally my belly is only covered by the long tshirt  ). Also, no more bra because I'm super lazy—I just wear camisoles now! I work from home though so I don't care too much about appearances.

What are you guys wearing to get you through these watermelon-belly days?

Re: What's everyone wearing these days?

• Leggings. I've never worn leggings to work ever in my 10 years working in a school, but coming back from Christmas break. Leggings all day every day. And at home... undies and a maternity sports bra type thing. I'm sooooooo hot all of the time, especially at night sleeping with DH and 2 50lb pit bull furnaces.

• I have to dress business casual for work. So dress pants and a blouse. When I am home, I am naked 90 percent of the time. I am most comfortable naked. Pregnant or not haha.
• I had to go to a meeting yesterday and actually put on real clothes, I'm pretty sure our dress code states no leggings yet I went in leggings and a tunic with a long sweater because I don't have any pants or dresses (dresses have to be worn with tights) that would work (the only appropriate dress I have I wore last week to a meeting with the same people). Dress codes are the worst while pregnant.

Good thing 95% of the time I don't have to wear real clothes.

• One thing I do kind of regret (already) about this pregnancy is that I haven't gone out more and worn all of the fun stuff that I bought in the 2nd trimester, dresses and jeans and cool maternity shirts. I'm just uncomfortable now, so leggings it is!

• I have to dress business casual to work too. I'm trying to leggings, but being tall I have almost zero shirts that are long enough for me to feel comfortable wearing said leggings.Thankfully I have about 3 pairs of pants I can wear to work. They're not super dressy but if anyone tried to say anything I would tell them I literally sit in a cubicle all day, they're lucky I'm not wearing my sweatpants. Which is all I wear when I'm home.

• Usually leggings, a tank top and a cardigan. I only have 3 pair of pants but they slide down my butt all day so I'm constantly pulling them up. I try to make sure the cardigan covers my butt. When I wear the pants, I wear short sleeve shirts because I'm always hot. At home usually a night gown or big shirt and capris that were pregnancy so don't really fit but who cares

• I am also business casual but I stretch it a bit. And, we get to wear jeans due to it being winter right now. Tomorrow unfortunately I have to wear a dress & will manage to throw some compression tights under there. Leggings. I bought a pair of navy/teal pants last weekend which are quite comfortable to break up the leggings or jeans rotation. I am so incredibly over wearing the same maternity clothes. Who knew my breasts would morph to a size E (from a B) and basically every shirt has to be a tunic or it's not long enough.

At home I rotate between Gap pure body bottoms (non maternity) and some Gap maternity shirt with a sleep or sports bra.

Very very over this maternity wardrobe stuff. Why don't the shirts cover the belly?! Make them longer designers!
• I too have never worn leggings to work until now. Now it is leggings and shirts long enough to cover my bum all day every day!! I'm not entirely sure that I'm really allowed to wear leggings but no one has said anything about it yet...And I pity the person who decides to tell me it's not ok! At home I wear sweatpants and DH's shirts or sweatshirts since none of my comfy clothes fit anymore :(

• Another twin mom gave me a box of magical maternity clothes. I say they're magic because they range in size from L - 3XL and somehow they all fit (AND WERE FREE).

I pair the clothes from that box with the maternity leggings I bought early in this pregnancy from Motherhood.

My mom also bought me some clothes from regular plus sized store (I generally wear a regular 12-14 pre pregnancy). The one set of PJ's are a size 26/28 and I thought she was completely nuts, but if I roll the pants up about 4 times, they're the most comfortable pants in my PJ rotation.

I have been wearing adidas dri-fit stretchy pants for a loooong time but now even those are getting too tight. I wear A LOT of drawstring scrubs that I snagged when I worked at the hospital. Y'all should try them.....major miracle pregnancy pants(like wearing air!). None of my shirts or sweaters seem to cover my belly either..I'm in a few different colors of a sweater I found that's long from Costco, two sweaters I got from PinkBlush Maternity and husbands shirts at home.
• Leggings, long tank, sweater, crop jacket or long shirt. Down to one skirt and 2 dresses I throw into rotation. Today I wore a dress with tights and the tights won't stay up over my belly, (they did a couple weeks ago!) they keep rolling down and squeezing me when I'm sitting. I'm considering taking my lunch break to go buy bigger tights. Not gonna make it all day in these!
• I basically wear sweatpants and a few comfy tees around the house, and Lularoe when I leave. I love my LLR Amelia and Nicole dresses (with leggings and boots) and they continue to fit great. Irmas are awesome too - they are no longer giant and look like normal shirts with plenty of belly and butt coverage. My maxi skirts are still fitting well too, though it's harder to find a shirt to wear with them that works. So mostly it's PJs/sweats since I don't go much of anywhere very often.

• @Robi1 even the Irma I bought is almost too short to cover my butt. It's still going to be great after LO is here, but I mostly bought it for these last couple months with leggings. Oh well, should have opted for the dresses it sounds like.

• I'm sad to say that I had to raid hubbies tshirts. My big workout tops don't begin to cover my belly. :'( I have 2 pairs of maternity jeans which work. And lots of long tanks with sweaters. I don't really want to buy anymore clothes before baby comes but I don't know how long I'll fit into these things, especially with 10 weeks to go.
• I'm down to two pairs of maternity jeans and one pair of maternity black pants for work. We're a fairly casual office, but leggings/tee shirts are still a no-go. I got three maternity cardigans from Target and mix/match different combinations of maternity tanks with the cardigans and pants. I'm SO BORED of these clothes, but it's all that works these days.

When I'm home, it's maternity leggings or bust.

• at home, I live DH's clothes. so much comfier. half of my maternity shirts no longer fit so it's a very small wardrobe lol
• I have one decent pair of dress pants and one pair that I wear as a last resort. Otherwise leggings as often as I can get away with them. I rarely, if ever, wore leggings pre-pregnancy but now I practically live in them. At home it's gym shorts/yoga pants and big t-shirts.

• Leggings, sweats, and workout pants on rotation. I have a couple pairs of maternity jeans & other maternity skinny pants that are just too uncomfortable in their fit now.

I miss my summer pregnancy :[ i want my flowy dresses and flip flops

I've been wearing maxi dresses and cardigans to work. ;)

• I would love to wear maxi dresses to work but 1. The warmest it has been this week is 30 and 2. I can't wear sandals to work and my feet swell so much during the day that only my UGG style boots fit!

• I'm just wearing whatever fits. I was totally unaware that maternity clothes I bought might not fit for the whole time. Plus, our weather has been CRAZY. I got several shirts that would be good for winter, however, I live in GA and this week it's been 70 degrees outside, plus I stay at a hotter temp than usual because this baby insulates me. So I can't even wear a good portion of my maternity clothes stash! I refuse to buy more at this point. My work just has to deal with seeing me in the same outfits-maternity jeans and maternity t-shirts that mostly cover my bump.

• When I don't have to wear clothes, I don't. Surprisingly I have a favorite pair of pants that I bought 3 pairs of because I loved so much. They aren't maternity and they are like black jegging pants that can be dressed up or down. The stretch allows me to still be able to wear them. So it's either those pants or dresses or no clothes.
• @datalover13 if it helps I don't like how all the dresses fit on me anymore! The waist on the Nicole sits funny on me (like straight across the middle of my belly). I have one Amelia and it looks good but it's a little tight on top. Julias are my favorite though if I'm trying to accentuate the bump!

For me, pretty much dresses/tunics and leggings. Or maxi skirts (don't like the feeling of elastic or the tightness on my other maternity stuff) with a top or sweater.

• wow so much Lularoe? I'd honestly never heard of them until recently. Seems like a pain to try to buy stuff, you guys all must have more patience than me!

• @vprod yeah, I've never heard of that brand either but they sound awesome!!

• Leggings all day, every day! I have LLR ones that I wear with Irma shirts or Carly dresses for when I am in public. (but not to work because child care during the winter months equals bleach stains on everything!) For work in have cheap Walmart maternity leggings, and some of my maternity shirts from last pregnancy that have already experienced the wrath of cleaning with bleach at work. For home, it's more black leggings with DH's shirts.
• My llr leggings now roll down my stomach. :(

• CanadianintheSouth I am totally in the same boat. I don't even want to be at work. I just want to wear comfy clothes. Im in dress pants and a sweater today

• Leggings. Last week I managed to wear leggings every single day. I own 3 pairs of Lularoe leggings and a friend let me borrow a pair of hers, I also own 2 pairs of Motherhood leggings, but one pair is more like tights.

I just bought my first pair of LLR (in OS) two weeks ago and was surprised they fit over my bump. I'm addicted. I bought a Randy last week, too.

• Ugh leggings, and luckily I have dress pants for work that are elastic around the waist that I can still wear. I have several maternity tops that I just keep on rotation. Anytime I'm at home it's back to my PJs though or workout clothes.
• soooo my bump sits so low that I'm having a hard time getting pants to cover my hips without suffocating my stomach or sliding off the belly completely and i get the lovely homer simpson gut. i guess I'm going to be rotating the 2 or 3 long shirts i have for the next month and a half? lol
• @Gators&BoSox my belly is doing the same thing. The under the belly pants are borderline cutting off circulation to the bump because it's so low now. Bye bye yoga pants, because I refuse to spend anymore money on maternity clothes
