Is anyone planning on getting a professional photographer for labor and delivery? I'd love to hear about how you're capturing the moment!
As much as I've said I don't want an "audience" in the delivery room, I'd love to have a way to preserve all the memories. So I'm kind of torn about the idea and would like to hear what you all are planning.
Re: L&D Photography?
But in all seriousness, while I've seen some beautiful pictures I don't think it's something that I want to do for myself, but it is a cool thing.

Cuz, Maybe those who've done the birth photography before can clue me in, What do you do with the photos other than have them in a little album hidden somewhere? I personally wouldn't want pics of the experience shared with anyone or hanging on my walls as I entertain.
I'm OK with doing something "special" for this one that I didn't do for my other two, bc I'm projecting that #3 will miss out on a lot of stuff just bc it's the third.
Above all though I just don't know who I'd be comfortable having in the room...
If love to but i just can't justify the cost since I'm taking 5 months unpaid after the birth.
A friend of a friend posted her L&D photos on Facebook... and I was super uncomfortable looking at them when they popped up on my newsfeed. They were way too personal IMO for her to be posting for everyone to see... like way too close to showing the cha-cha (unlike the ones posted above!)
I can not wait for the photos this go round esp having a HB and big brother being there right after she arrives :-)
Buut... @CanadianintheSouth I cant believe people would share THAT on FB... well I suppose these days I can believe it.. but still. This is the only photo that I shared on FB
i live in so cal, so everything is more $ here. I shopped around... lots of photographers price $1500-$2000 for L&D photos. Our photographer happens to be our Doula's backup also, so she recommended her. That helped with $.
Thank you!!! Grateful Hubby saw the value
