Keeping with the poop theme, I had EXTREME digestive distress earlier this week. I probably spent the better part of an hour on 4 separate trips. Even though we've been married for 3+ years, I still can't bring myself to tell my husband that I poop - so in situations like that, I am very uncomfortable and embarrassed.
@emilyalso and @CherryBananas that is crazy to me! I'm a totally gross wife and have no problem farting in front of my husband, announcing I'm leaving to go poop, telling him I had a great poop, etc. No shame.
In fact, I just texted him to tell him I'm super gassy today and I'm worried that I'm going to be letting 'em fly the whole time I'm in surgery later this morning.
We are open door poopers in my house. Have been since probably a year into our relationship. It's not uncommon for one of us to sit just beyond where the poo smell reaches and have a conversation with the other while they go. This probably prepared us well for a toddler when you really never get to poop alone ever again.
We are also open door in our house... more so me than DH, but with only 1 bathroom sometimes you don't really have a choice if one of us is bathing DD and the other has to go.
My DD, who isn't potty trained yet, has started watching me go to the bathroom. As in, squatting in front of me, one hand on each thigh, and looking into the bowl as I go - #1 or #2. Talk about making the potty a spectator sport!
Otherwise, I sort of want to go with it because I want to train her before DS arrives and also she needs to be potty trained to start preschool in the fall. (We've waited on potty training on her pedi's recommendation due to her speech delay.)
It’s not that I don’t like you, it’s that I don’t know you. Stranger Danger.
Mine is I'm having urethral spasms. Maybe the baby is kicking or hitting a nerve? Happens very suddenly, and is SUPER painful. I don't pee myself, it's not like that. I know people are going to say I have a UTI, but I'm pretty confident this is not that.
maybe this is TMI or maybe this is UO.. ... yesterday I was told that I need to be on "pelvic rest" and I am not too thrilled. I know many moms are excited about this but I am not....
The gas I have is unreal today. I have a ceremony for my MIL, who is retiring from her job as a 911 operator. And I can't stop farting. Should be interesting.
@lrwardrop I was on pelvic rest the entire first trimester and once it was lifted it was hard for me to get back into things because I was in the pelvic rest mindset. It totally sucks. I feel your pain. Just think this can be temporary (did they tell you how long?) And it's for baby, like everything else we do.
@lrwardrop I feel your pain. I've been on complete pelvic rest since week 19. The thought of possibly another 6 months(!!!!!!) until I can orgasm or have sex again has me super bummed out. DH is loving all the BJs though
This poop talk is killing me. My husband and I are definitely not open door poopers. I'm not sure I could handle that. However, my SIL and her boyfriend (they're college aged) text each other every time either of them poops with a letter which describes the shape of their poop....hahahaha. Usually, it's a "C" or "S", but sometimes they get interesting.

I would be in the bummed boat too. If I were perpetually in 2nd tri, my sex life would be so much better. Also, if I were on pelvic rest, DH would be on BJ rest.
re open house: we are totally open house at this point. In fact we reached a new level today I checked to see if Fiance was getting a hemorrhoid good news .... he's not... bad news I told him he's going to have to have a doctor look if he still is having "issues" he's not thrilled about spreading his cheeks for the doctor....
My TMI is I swear i have a buttery smell in the pelvic region since becoming pregnant... I've had the OB check for infections, there are none. No explanation, I don't eat buttery things... so WTF why do I smell like that! I actually have been too embarrassed to ask fiance if he can smell it too.... so I don't know if its in my head or a real thing. after today I may just break down an ask him

I'm on pelvic rest, and BJs have definitely been on rest as well. I haven't been able to breath through my nose for about a month...soooo...I'm not completely heartless though, I did give an HJ the other day. So that was weird.

Mine is that I have peed on my hand twice today. I think I am done and go to wipe and the little bend motion must push more out.
The poop and farts comments are making me laugh. Farting is not hidden at our house. I was stretching and farting in the livingroom the other day (so gassy!!) and DH says "Oh my gosh why do I think you are attractive right now?" I had workout legging on, so apparently they override nasty farts.

DH is the only person other than my 1.5yo DD that I am willing to dart around. We're pretty open about going, but don't go with eachother in the bathroom most of the time and the door definitely stays closed or mostly closed to keep from peeling the paint off of the walls in the entire house.
My TMI is that I've seriously gone through an extra two rolls of tp this week blowing my nose or using it to catch the flem I'm hacking up. I seriously just feel like a human booger.
I just feel bad for the poor guy. I'm not going out of my way to do it more than I have an inclination too, I just don't think both of us need to be suffering at this point. I figure if I just leave him to his own devices, I'm losing an opportunity to stay connected to him in that way. I mean, I don't particularly love giving them, but it makes him happy and he's trying so hard to go the extra mile with me lately.

On the subject of pooping, I'm definitely a "close the door" person, but I have no problem talking about it with my husband. Every once in a while, if one of us has something noteworthy, we'll bring it up. For example, one time I had the tiniest turd ever (decent amount of effort for what was no larger than a popcorn kernel), and he really got a kick out of hearing about that one.
I'm not on pelvic rest, but I had SPD with DD and it seems to have came back early this time. So my pubic bone/area is in constant pain, which means sex is so painful and has not happened for a while. I don't expect it to really happen until after baby either... . Luckily fiance is super understanding. That said, I guess you can say he's on BJ rest too... I guess if he really asked I might think about it, but when i feel miserable its not like I'll be putting much into it. I'm totally fine with him taking care of business and we even joke about it. I don't feel like we've lost any connection because of it. However, I'm sure its different for everyone.
Glad to know my H is not the only person on nearly perpetual BJ rest!! Honestly I don't hate them, but they must be reciprocated (eventually or in the long run, not ALWAYS right away)... and that just does not happen in our house. So I only use them to reward good behavior
I can poop again! It's been two weeks of being semi-regular. Woohoo!
BJs are no fun if there's nothing in return. I had a visit to the MFM recently for abnominal pains and the OB on call asked if we had recently had sex. It took all my will power not to laugh.
I'm barely catching up and lol'ing at all of these... totally needed that.
Sex is SO much better in 2nd tri... and this pregnancy I've been super horny. MH is loving it. I try to stay consistent with BJs as MH loves going down on me... though not while pregnant thank goodness.
MH is very open about talking about his poops but DOES NOT like to think that I actually do poop. It's like, "c'mon, we're both adults here..."
Late to the party again...stupid app/website not working...anyway, you all are cracking me up! I needed a laugh today!
H has pretty much been on BJ rest since we've been together as well...I think he may have had 1 from me at the beginning of our relationship over 11 years ago! He still teases and hopes one day it will happen!
Sex...what is that again? I have no sex drive whatsoever right now and it sucks! We tried once because I was feeling bad and it was not comfortable at all! H just bought some ky in the hopes that it might help...who knows?!
Pooping...yep H has been in there when I've had one of my "episodes" if you will for my hiatal hernia. I get intense cramping and horrible shakes and sweats. Sometimes I feel like I'll faint, so I'll call for him to come in and get me a cold washcloth or something. He's very sweet about it and poop does not scare him! He had a completely different experience at one of his jobs when he worked at an after school program for kids with disabilities...he was covered in poop one time because one of the kids freaked out about it touching him. Poor guy...anyway, I don't usually go in when he's going, but we have had conversations through the door.
Sorry for the overly long post...Happy Friday!

Our sex life is all but dead here too but that's because I have had a yeast infection that I just can't seem to shake. My ob knows and has given me a few things to try but so far I only get a day or so of relief and then it's back. I've recently started taking a probiotic and I think that may be helping which would be nice because aside from the just discomfort of the infection, sex has been really great when we've done it and I'd like to indulge a little bit more.

My TMI is gas related. I have painful gas. At first I think I'm having a BH contraction, but then almost immediately thereafter I pass gas.
