I'm human garbage and peaced out of my second job early to get Taco Bell before my dance class. I'm like 90% sure (not charting/temping until AF returns) I ovulated, but not like that does me much good with DH not being home. Which makes me think of this GIF
@ag90 - ( & @adirat ) I had H check. He says my PNVs are Nature made..but I'll verify when I get home, because, you know, H's. There are definitely brands out there that are certified, you just gotta find them. Maybe I was confusing Nature made with Spring Valley. Because those are HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE.
@LuND - Yeah, I missed it. Thanks for asking again. I've heard about it but never have looked into it. I need to do that. I'll let you know what I think. What do you think about it?
@eggplantface - Yeah like I said, it's a recent thing with them, but a good play on their part. I just don't know if all of them have been tested yet or not. Doesn't hurt to look. If H is right, that's what I have been using. I just can't remember. I agree that it's so wrong. It's funny too because I am so like, naive and trusting but seeing it through my own eyes and actually doing the testing myself made me really sad.
Here is a list of some USP verified vitamins. The list is NOT complete, as they haven't updated it in a while. Like I've said before, if it says USP on the bottle, you are good!

@KristoKekerooni sorry for all the questions, I'm so interested in this. Would it be better to see if my dr could prescribe a PNV instead? Is that a thing? I feel like if it's prescribed then the pharmacists will be putting in what they are supposed to, you can't really mess around with prescriptions can you? Also, I feel like drs should tell you/should know this about vitamins. It's frustrating to think you're getting 1000 mg of folate (which is what my bottle says) but that could be a lie. WTF
TTGP March Siggy Challenge: Animals Celebrating St. Patrick's Day
@feeislove - oh boy. Sorry. This is pretty outdated, but when I did my project they had 0% of what they claimed to have. 0%. Granted, I only tested A and B vitamins, so it's possible their other vitamins are okay... but i doubt it. I mean, I'll reiterate, none of them are dangerous. You aren't going to get hurt or sick or anything. That part is one of the areas the FDA covers... so they aren't hurting you... they just probably aren't helping either.
@ag90 - I'm 99% sure that all prescription medicine is monitored as a pharmaceutical and not as a dietary supplement. That means they would have to adhere to cGMP, undergo much more stringent testing and quality reviews.
@LuND - So after a quick glance around the website, looking at some reviews and even asking someone here I work with (that has to go through USP for all our APIs), Labdoor seems to be alright. Granted, I spent maybe an hour looking through, so don't sue me. But it's an interesting company. I just want to know how they get paid. I mean, they say how they get paid, but don't list out all their payers. They say they don't accept money from manufactures, but that's pretty easier to weasel around. I do like how they just test on their own, without prodding by the company... but again, how do they get money then? It's EXPENSIVE to test things. Like, millions, not hundreds here. Where are they getting that much to pick up any old brand? hmmmm. The only other thing I really see an issue with is their grading system. USP only cares about label=content. They don't look at safety, artificial ingredients, etc. At the end of the day, the FDA regulates safety, USP doesn't care to claim safety, just honesty. Labdoor grades them based on numerous factors. Which means that if something uses artificial ingredients (that I am okay with because, science, it's gonna get a lower score than, in my mind, it deserves. Overall, at first glance, if I don't like a USP vitamin or there isn't a USP option, I will probably check with labdoor and go with the next best bet based on content only, while ignoring the actual grade. ( @ag90 - maybe try this since you don't like the Nature made???)

@jess0211@JJMNO1616 thanks y'all. I ended up getting Spring Valley(before I was enlightened by @KristoKekerooni) because it was less than $4 and the Nature Made is $12 and I'm cheap. I'm going to finish this bottle of Spring Valley and then switch. Because I'm cheap and I will take my $4 possibly useless vitamins.

Oh darn, my flea brained sister is mad at me. She's giving this kid another bad name, and the changes to the boy name made it lean towards the current trend to change something to a Y and it's a girl name.
So my mother feels the need to reminded me that at least my sister wasn't picking boring names.....
I gave up and told my mother since she gave me a super villain name, I really didn't give a flying fuck on her name opinions.

I'm in a nasty mood. Sigh.
I'm gonna need to know what the name is before I pass judgement...also I hope you worded it nicer than that. My feelings would be super hurt if one of my siblings called me a flea brain and told me they hated my baby name. ETA: I'm sorry you're having a bad day
I'm extra feisty today I guess... *TW my bff 'still hasn't gone into labor' even though she's not due for two weeks. I've been fielding texts all day about how it's so unfair she's still pregnant. End TW**
@heatherdubrow I think it's time for a short and sweet conversation about how happy you are for her and also how her behavior is unfair to you, especially given how understanding and patient you are being.
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

@NYTino24 that come to Jesus conversation has happened. It apparently went in one ear and out the other. Fortunately I'm leaving for Hawaii tomorrow and will be 'out of cell reception' so she can complain to someone else. Thanks for the support, I've tried to be as understanding as possible.

Flea brain has Reneezmai for a girl and Kamryn for a boy, to go with Namaste, Payzleighe, Bellatrix and Legna.
Since I have a weird AF name (Tesla Nemesis - aka super villain name) - I hate non traditional names. Like irrational hate. Do not do that to your children.
@heatherdubrow - only thing I told the flea brain is I preferred Kamryn for a girl (I personally hate it, but it's better than the other mess), and did they have a boy name picked (last I knew, they were team green). She's furious that I didn't know Kamryn is a boy name and Reneezmai is obviously a prettier name for a girl.
