@Koukonei Thanks for the update, I'm so glad to hear your babies are stable. I agree with @cafedisco, I hope you are being taken care of yourself as well. Please let us know if there is anything I can do to help pass some time?? Need any magazines, books, etc??
I've been thinking about you and your babies often. Glad to hear they are doing well so far. Please take care of yourself as well. They need a healthy mama too!
Just finished visiting the babies. They're both doing well considering their age. Both will be getting their heads scanned tomorrow to check for brain bleeds, so we're praying they don't find any. Our son has a PDA (usually closes on its own after birth), so they started him on medication to hopefully close it. They're so sweet and perfect. I can start holding them now that they're out of their critical window so I'm looking forward to coming back tomorrow to do that!
@Koukonei praying for no bleeds or other concerns! Glad they're doing well and so glad you get to hold them. Aw! I'm so hormonal today I'm crying thinking of their tiny perfect selves. Thinking of you and praying for the whole family. Thanks for updating.
So glad to hear that they're doing well and that you get to hold them!! Keep growing sweet babies!! I will continue to pray for them and for your family - stay strong mama!
@Koukonei Thank you for the update! I will keep those sweet little babies in my prayers. I have been hoping for a great update from you soon. I know that the NICU life with a child at home can be hard. Congratulations on being able to hold them!! If you would like/need some inspiration (as long as it wouldn't take you down a whirlwind of emotions), I'd recommend following the March moms page on FB. Her baby was also born at 24 weeks and she has overcome some of the challenges that your little ones are facing with the potential brain bleeds and the PDA.
I'm so happy that your newest family members are doing well and am glad you don't have to wait any longer than you have already to get to hold your tiny miracles. I love the sense of community this board provides. As you can see, you've got so many ladies here pulling for you @Koukonei!
So happy to see an update @Koukonei and enjoy those snuggles tomorrow! I wasn't a preemie like your little fighters but I am a PDA baby! Our hearts are one of a kind.
@Koukonei I've been following your posts and am really happy you get to hug on your babies soon. I'm sorry you had to go through a scary time but I'm thinking of you and your babes and before you know it, your whole family will be reunited.

Fingers crossed" We are all thinking of you and your babies
Me: 35 year old FTM, a busy city banker living in London, and a constant worrier. My DH: French guy, car fanatic, best husband ever. Our baby boy: Due on 17 April, currently 37 weeks. I can't believe it - I made it to full term!!!! Last measurement: 3150 gs at 37+1! This is going to be a big baby
So happy to hear from you @Koukonei . We had one with a PDA as well and it did eventually close (this is totally normal for preemies as you now know). I will say that it did seem to affect his breathing progress - this baby had to go back to CPAP at one point, and eventually came home on oxygen for a few months. He had a lot of factors that may have contributed, however, and ultimately he is healthy.
I will cross my fingers and hope and pray for no brain bleeds. Thinking of you.
Just checking in on you and those sweet babies. Prayers have continued on my end. Hoping everyone is doing well, including your H and DS. Update us when you can. We would love to hear about their progress!
@Koukonei Also checking in. Hope all is well and that you are just busy being a mum!! Sending you lots of love

Felix is packing on the weight. He's up to 825 grams as of last night, Addy is back up to her birth weight. She had a pulmonary hemorrhage a few days ago while I was there and that was terrifying. She's still having a bit of bleeding but overall is doing better. Her 2 head scans have been clear and Felix gets his second one on Friday (his first one was clear as well). I've only held Adelaide so far but should be able to hold Felix this evening. Trying to balance life with a toddler and spending time in the NICU has been a challenge. I can't drive yet as my blood pressure is really low and I keep having fainting spells
@Koukonei Thank you for sharing with us how your babes are doing. I'm glad that they are getting more weight on them and that their head scans are coming back clear. I'm sure balancing life is not easy at all, not to mention the emotional and mental toll. I am keeping you and those baby in my prayers! Hoping they continue to make great progress and before you know it, they will be home with you, your H, and son as a healthy, happy family unit it one place.
@koukonei it is so great to hear that they are progressing well! I'm sorry to hear about the fainting spells you are having tho, that is probably scary and frustrating at the same time. Thinking and praying for your amazing family
@Koukonei So glad to hear your update! That sounds really positive. It's awesome that their head scans have been clear. Will keep thinking of you. Do you have the support you need?
@Koukonei So good to read your update. Hang in there. I can imagine how difficult it is. Sending lots of prayers to all of you

I'm very glad to hear you're doing well and babies are doing well and hope everything continues on the up and up. You've got a huge cheer squad here thinking of you guys and rooting you on.
