Hi Ladies,
First, let me start off by apologizing for not introducing myself yet. I had a missed MC earlier this year and until I saw a healthy baby on an ultrasound, was a bit gun-shy about getting too involved. My name is Rachel and I have two kiddos, age 2.5 and 4.5, work full time as an engineer, and have two dog children as well. So...went in for our first appointment today and...
found out we're having TWINS. Holy $%^&! Someone who has been here, please talk me down off the ledge but I'm freaking out! My husband and I both work full time, with very demanding careers. How is this even possible to handle? Don't get me wrong, I am ecstatic that everyone is healthy so far but am in such utter shock. My husband is thrilled and doesn't seem worried at all. I want to smack him into joining reality with the rest of the world.
Also, since our MC, we haven't shared the news of this pregnancy with anyone. Ahhh...
Thanks for allowing me to vent, and hello everyone! Excited to officially be part of August 2017 mamas.
Rachel
Re: Third Pregnancy....TWINS!
My kids are also 4.5 and 2.5 and I'm happy they will be 5 and 3 and hopefully a little less needy and more helpful when this baby gets here, so that's a positive too.
With all of that said I totally understand the shock of it all!

I have a 4.5yo, a 2yo, a 15 year old dog and work 12 hour days as an analyst in an investment firm so I feel where you are coming from. I haven't had an ultrasound yet so could be having twins as well (but have no reasons to expect it)
I am nauseous and dying at work, but keep focusing on the miracle of growing a baby and grateful for strong symptoms having had losses as well. You have two little kiddos in there who are going to love you so much! Congrats! I'm excited to follow your journey

Donehue- hope the nausea gets better soon! I'm in the same boat and work is a serious struggle these days...
JDBtwinmomma- I am super thankful to hear your personal experience with your twins, gives me hope
