Mangoes
Midwife appointment tomorrow. I've complained about last Thursday's a/s in previous threads, so I won't go into detail here. But the summary is that u/s techs aren't allowed to give results; they have to go to the doctor. Usually, however, they'll tell the sex, but my guy basically blew us off with, "I didn't really see; they're probably girls." So I'm hoping 1) the scan was clean! and 2) he got good pictures that someone can interpret and tell us what they are.
I'm having a real hard time making it through the day. I'm going to start taking iron again--I am slightly anemic not pregnant, so I usually take a liquid iron so as not to be constipated. I went off it when I started prenatals, but I stopped taking those because they made me horribly constipated. I should have gone back on the liquid iron but didn't; I hope this solves the problem.
Also, my vag has hurt for a few weeks now. I stopped doing Kegels, which seemed to help mildly, but right now I feel so much pressure on my cervix. :-( Gonna talk to her about that tomorrow, too.
Anyone else coping with exhaustion? Everything I've read is that at some point, Mom's hit a wall pretty early and that's just it. I really hope I haven't hit mine yet. (I did have about 3-4 weeks of 2nd trimester energy, but it's gone now.)
Numbers. But I am a project manager, so I've taught myself to be more approachable. I still would rather not deal with small talk, though.

Question: Anyone else's babies laying bunk-bed style?
I'm more of a "alone reading" type of person. I don't do numbers overly well, though statistics was always my best marks in university. I don't feel rejuvenated by being around people though either.
Yeah, I have back issues, too (and why are we two the ones pregnant with twins??). I got a tens machine and it seems to actually be helping. :-O Although of course, it's not going away. Just not as bad. Taking the train downtown and sitting at my desk all day are like the worst things for it, so that's just peachy.

And crap! Can you exercise ball in place of your chair? Chiro? Seriously I have a TENS for clients and never even thought to use it for myself. Thanks pregnancy brain!
How long are you planning to work for? My OB told me she wants most done by 28 weeks and I'm not going to fight that at all!
I've looked at exercise ball chairs, but I haven't bought one yet. I'm afraid it'll be one of those things I spend $100 (or whatever) on and then just don't use.
I've also been seeing an osteopath/physical therapist for over a year now; my midwife suggested switching to massage. I went for my first one this week and it was ok. Maybe I'm just not THAT uncomfortable yet with this pregnancy. I know when I went in the third trimester with my last, it was like MAGICAL.
Right now, I'm targeting mat leave to start on May 1, which puts my last day at week 34. However, we're already planning at work to transition me off my heavy load, high priority project within the next month in preparation for things getting too much for me to handle. Since the company only subsidizes 6 weeks of full pay for mat leave, and the government subsidy is about 25% of my income (for a year--I'm in Canada), I'll be seeing if I can take short term disability (100% for 9 weeks) prior to that. If I'm feeling ok? Sure. If I'm not... well, that's why they invented STD.
