  • DH is my biggest support in me going back to school for something else not even a year after graduating with a different degree. And while he is at drill this weekend, I told him I would try to clean. When he comes home and see how little I've gotten accomplished he doesn't even care. He tells me that what I've gotten done is more than he expected with my lack of energy. It's not like our house is a disaster, just cluttered and I hate doing laundry.
  • H was gone for a long business trip.  He got back today.  He went and picked up supper, and had the kids from 12:30 on.  Plus he is putting them both to bed which is AWESOME!  Plus he made plans to take the kids with him next weekend when he changes the oil on the van at his parents house next weekend so that I can have an empty house to myself.

  • My H has an incredible work ethic. Not only does he work his tail off at his full time job, but all weekend he's working on our flip house in order for us to get it on the market this spring. He let me tap out early today but is still there putting in the kitchen cabinets.

  • Bringing me peeled oranges and tea for my morning sickness, doing extra chores without prompting, being sweet to me and reminding me why I'm going through the hard parts of this experience.
  • These are all so sweet!!  :)
  • He went grocery shopping for us (and was so patient with my never ending "oh wait....one more thing" texts and he is making up dinner :) He also let me hang out in bed since I got hone from working without asking me for anything :) I may be easy to please, but this is so awesome! <3

  • We celebrated our daughters 2nd birthday yesterday. Afterwards while I sat on the couch and recouped he put the whole house back in order and put our daughter to bed. Then this morning he got up with her while I slept in because I was still tired from a busy birthday weekend and my back hurt. This was after I was a crabby witch to him all day before the party while getting it set up. He works full time, is taking almost a full course load of college classes and is in the Guards. Still any time he doesn't have to be at work by 7 he gets up with our daughter when she wakes up (between 730 and 8) and lets me sleep in.
  • My husband and works his butt off (two jobs), then comes home and picks up my slack.  He even did all the grocery shopping this week.  I was stunned that we ended up with almost everything on my list.  He even watched the little one while I went to sleep early the other day.

  • He is the BEST daddy in the world. He loves our kids so deeply and he makes a true effort to be an active, present, supportive parent.

Saying, "I love you" to our kids comes naturally to me. Almost like autopilot. To him, he realized it isn't something he says all the time. He feels it, he just doesn't express it.  But, he knows how important it is, and he told me he makes sure that at least one a day, he gives hugs and kisses and says "I love you" to the kids.

He had had a dad who loved him but didn't express it, and when we got married he learned the importance of expressing what you feel. I'm so proud that makes loving us a priority, even if it isn't something that is "natural" for him.
