I've definitely been having acne. I've been using glycolic acid (10%) on my face every other day which seems to help keep things at bay, although I still break out here and there.
My last pregnancy I had extremely painful cystic acne. What saved me was as soon as I would feel one coming on I would immediately start icing the spot. I would do 5 mins on, 5 mins off for as long as possible (preferably for at least an hour). This would stop the zit from developing. My acne hasn't been nearly as bad this pregnancy but I still do the ice trick when I feel one coming on
Ugh me me! STM and never had acne with my first (DS), I had glowing beautiful skin actually. This time I have cycstic like acne all around my hair line and temples. So gross and painful! One just will not shrink. Hoping for girl this time??!
I've had acne ever since I was 23 during my first pregnancy. It was awful then with 12+ cysts at a time. Over the years I have been on dermatologist prescribed meds which helped but stopped working as effectively early 2016 and I had to stop with this pregnancy. Anyway, my skin this pregnancy is the best it has been in a long time!! When I didn't know I was pregnant yet, I erupted into several cysts but those healed and none came back. The best thing I have done differently, is using shea moisture African black soap twice daily. It's absolutely amazing. It's advertised for acne prone skin. I also use stridex pads. Salicylic acid is safe when used in OTC products because a minuscule amount is absorbed. I also use belli brand acne spot treatment which has sulphur and tea tree oil. So those are my recommendations!

Lol so funny. My first pregnancy was with a boy and my skin was awful. This time it's good so I'm thinking girl! Lol
Ugh me, too. My forehead constantly looks like sandpaper, just entirely covered in teeny tiny blemishes, and my cheeks and jaw are developing deep, red pimples, the kind that never quite come to a head and take weeks to heal. I'm doing clay masks, coconut oil, tea tree oil. It's so hard to not reach straight for benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid treatments!
Ugh I'm dealing with the worst skin ever. Sulfur and tea tree oil are the only things that help a little bit. Both are drying so use a good moisturizer!

Me, too. I feel like a teenager again. My normal face soap isn't helping. Clinique face wash seems to help. I only use it on the areas that are broken out (forehead, chin, and 1 big under-the skin guy between my eyes) and I use lotion on my cheeks and nose to keep them from drying out. I hope this doesn't last too long.
My OB recommended witch hazel which I've started using as a toner and it has helped dramatically. I used to use an OTC salicylic acid scrub (for decades) but found out at around 5 weeks that's not recommended (sounds like that might vary based on who you ask from a PP). I would just check with your OB before investing in anything they might not approve of.
Yes! All over my chin and jaw line. I'm just trying to drink a ton of water bc that seems to help. And I'm trying to limit what I put on my skin so I'm kind of just trying to live with it and wear good foundation every day
My hairline and chin are disgusting. I rarely ever break out, I normally have super dry skin. I use Aveeno sensitive foaming face wash since it's mild. I broke out really bad during my last period and bought a charcoal mask at Walmart that seemed to help. I may grab a couple more of those for when it's bad. I don't know what to do about my hair line, I can't wash my hair every day because I have naturally curly hair that is super dry and if I wash to much, my hair breaks off and is all frizzy. Wow, I sound gorgeous right now. If what they say about girls stealing your beauty is true, maybe it's a girl this time.
I never did with either of my boys I had the glowing skin and I actually never had to shave my leg hair it just didn't grow. This time I have terrible acne and I have to shave like twice a day. Hoping for a healthy baby but maybe it's a sign it's a girl
I was thinking of starting this post today because the acne is out of control! I had bad "back acne" with my son, but with this one, it's all over and I mean all over - in my cleavage, hairline, back. I'm going to try the witch hazel and see if that works!
Yes! It's all over for me. My chest, face, back, and hairline.
I ordered some witch hazel and vitamin C serum, but I think I'm going to have to pony up to replace the Clarisonic I lost last fall. My skin really looked better when I was using the Clarisonic regularly.

I had terrible acne with my daughter but it is not as bad this time around. I was also on more hormones last time tho that I don't have to take this time so I'm thinking that may be why.
YES! I have acne on my hairline and granted its not a ton, it's a lot for someone whose face is clear as a baby's butt! Last time I had acne like this was in my teenage years.
