I just found out I'm pregnant (at around 4 weeks) and I'm getting fairly nauseous at work, so I'm thinking about telling the few people in my dept because it?s going to start affecting my work. My boss (who is out on maternity leave right now) told us early on but now I can?t remember how many weeks along she was. Maybe 6?
Anyway, when did you start telling people?
Re: When did you tell people at work?
i told my boss at around 6 weeks because i had had some spotting and was having a lot of labd and u/s appts during the work day. i haven't yet told any coworkers - prob will in about 2 weeks or so.

I told my boss around 6 weeks because of the time I'd be missing from work.
Like a PP said, I'd like to hide it as long as I can. Unfortunately, my husband works with the husbands of a couple CW's - they're all part of The Boys Club at work. A CW is having her baby shower on the 24th, so I'll announce the following week - around 12 1/2 wks.
As long as I don't have noticable m/s, then I plan to tell my boss after my first doctor's appointment (at 12 weeks).
I would really caution you against telling at 4 weeks. The chance of miscarriage is incredibly high early in pregnancy, and anyone you tell, you'd have to tell about a miscarriage.
I waited until 12 weeks. Some people tell earlier. I might have been okay with telling after I saw the heartbeat (around 8 weeks) because the chance of miscarriage goes down then.
I told my boss on Monday but it was for safety reasons, I work at a special needs school (high risk students and padded timeout rooms).
Just felt like someone should know if I go running out of a classroom!
