We haven't had one of these in a while. Since the babes are turning four months, lets see how everyone is doing!

Re: 4 Month Check-In
Any milestones hit? Rolling on her sides--as I've posted before, she has no interest in rolling over. She's laughing and cooing and making all kinds of sounds.
Tell us about sleep, nighttime and naps- Naps at 9AM, lunchtime, late afternoon, then a short one before dinner. She sleeps in 4-hour increments.
Weight and length? She was 25 inches at her 2-month and weighed 12 pounds. We find out on Friday her new weight and length!
How are YOU feeling? Finally feeling like myself again. Very thankful for family and husband helping with chores and cleaning while I'm at work or needing a break.
Questions or concerns? When will she sleep through the nightttt!
When does baby turn four months?
On New Year's day.
Any milestones hit?
He finally rolled from tummy to back. And he is starting to like tummy time.
Tell us about sleep, nighttime and naps-
Well we were doing good but something happened after he turns 4 months old. He usually takes three naps a day and wakes up once at night to eat. Use to go to bed between 9 and 10 but now he fights it and sometimes doesn't go down until 11. It is getting tiring.
Weight and length?
At 4 month appointment he was 12lbs and 25 in. He is going to be long and skinny.
How are YOU feeling?
Slowly starting to feel like me again. Need to find time for working out and get back on track with my eating.
Questions or concerns?
Just waiting for my emotions to level out. I hate that I can cry so easily. I wasn't a big crier before I got pregnant but ever since the pregnancy I can cry at dumb commercials and stories. Boo girlie emotions.
He turned 4 months January 8th
Any milestones hit?
He's rolled a few times, but it's not daily. He doesn't seem very interested in doing it. He desperately would like to sit up, and is always trying to. Also, teething (not sure if that's a milestone) Tons of drool and he wants to put EVERYTHING in his mouth. Pediatrician said we can start solids despite the recommendation that breastfeed babies wait to eat solids until 6 months. Apparently now there is belief that introducing solids early is better for not developing allergies. We gave him a little avocado tonight. He seemed confused (mostly by the spoon and how he was supposed to eat) we will keep trying and I'm sure he'll get better at eating.
Tell us about sleep, nighttime and naps
Naps are really hit or miss especially since starting daycare. Night time sleep has been really good these last few weeks. He goes to bed at 6pm and lately he's been only getting up once to eat. We did cio at 3.5 months and I do think it's helped him learn to self soothe. Of course it's not perfect and there are random days he'll cry or wake up frequently, but we seem to get back on track quickly.
Weight and length? 15 pounds 12 ounces (57% percentile) and 25.75 inches (76% percentile)
How are YOU feeling? Feeling better. We started him in daycare a week early so that we can ease him in (only a few hours a day and try to increase length by the end of the week) I don't start work until next week so I've had several hours everyday to myself. I did miss him, but it has been so nice having time to myself and I've been able to get a lot done. It's also helping with the emotional aspect of daycare. Im hoping I got all the tears out of the way this week. Also, I have a mini girls trip planned with some friends at the end of February. It's just a weekend thing at a vacation town an hour and a half away, but I'm so so SO excited.
Questions or concerns?
Really nervous to return to work, but the great part is that I'm going back part time (3 times a week). I really hope parttime works out. I know a few moms that do it and seem to think you get the best of both worlds. We will see. Even though he's started daycare I'm still nervous about him being there ALL day especially since he's used to such an early bedtime. He's going to have to learn to nap better.
He turned 4 months on the 7th of this month.
Any milestones hit?
He laughs, talks, plays with toys, rolls over both ways, and can sit on his own for a couple minutes.
Tell us about sleep, nighttime and naps-
He wakes up once a night and takes at least one 45 min- 1 hour+ nap between each bottle.
Weight and length?
18 pounds 1 oz and 27 inches long. He's huge. Lol 95 percentile
How are YOU feeling?
Suffering PPD so I'm not motivated to do much but it's getting better.
Questions or concerns?
not really. He's a super good baby with lots of smiles
B turned four months yesterday
Any milestones hit?
He's not rolling yet but he is getting good at holding toys and putting them in his mouth.
Tell us about sleep, nighttime and naps-
He is the worlds worst nighttime sleeper. I've complained about that here before and nothing has improved. He doesn't sleep in a stretch longer than 2 hours and quite often it's only 45 minutes. He wants to nurse ALL. NIGHT. LONG. He has never slept longer than 4 hours. Basically, Nights are rough. Our only saving grace is that he is a good napper. He goes down for naps super easy and keeps a pretty consistent schedule. He's usually awake for 2 hours and then sleeps for an hour all throughout the day.
Weight and length?
He's 15 lbs 11 oz. and 26 inches long.
How are YOU feeling?
I am super bummed out right now. I go back to work on Tuesday and I really don't want to. I know how fortunate I am for having this much time off because I know for many that is not the case but it doesn't make things any easier. I've been crying a ton and am just generally unhappy.
Questions or concerns?
None that I can think of.
I also go back on Tuesday after being off for 5 months! I'm nervous. Good luck!
On the 18th!
Any milestones hit?
She's rolling front to back and chit chats a lot. She smiles constantly and has laughed a few times! She's been such a good girl at daycare. It's made it easier on me.
Tell us about sleep, nighttime and naps-
Molly has been sleeping through the night for the past few weeks - thankfully! I'm back to work full time so it's nice getting sleep. She will stir once or twice, but she's great at putting herself back to sleep. She naps great at daycare. She takes two naps there which are each from 1-2 hrs long! She seems to be on a routine and signals she's ready for bed / naps now. We are so lucky!
Weight and length?
Not sure - her 4 month appt is on the 30th. I think she's about 25" long and is probably around 15 lbs!
How are YOU feeling?
I am doing pretty good. Just finished my second week back to work. Despite work stress, our routine is finally worked out it seems. It's a lot in one day getting up at 5:30 and basically go go going til I put her to bed at 8pm. But it's going as well as I could hope. People keep making me feel bad that I'm not more upset etc. I am, but I have to work. She's doing well at daycare which makes it a little easier I think. I love the lady we send her to and she's well cared for and has great days. I can't ask for much more. I am feeling more disconnected from my husband though. It's hard. My attention and focus is so much on Molly. We've been going out to lunch on Fridays (our only alone time lately) which is nice, but I'm hoping to get back on track with our relationship and rekindle the romance and love.
Questions or concerns?
Not really. I did contact my LC recently because I was wondering if I have too much milk stored / pumped. I'm giving daycare milk from October still. She's eating about 12 oz while there and I'm pumping about 20 oz a day. She suggested donating some milk or just keeping it. So I'm trying to decide what to do at this point. I want to nurse as long as I can!
When does baby turn four months?
December 31st
Any milestones hit?
Rolling from front to back and lots of baby talk. She just started really laughing this past week...is there anything cuter than a baby laughing?!?
Tell us about sleep, nighttime and naps-
She just started napping really well again since I put her swing upstairs in our room. She started really needing a dark room to nap in or she would wake up after 20 mins unless I was holding her. That got exhausting so I'm happy about the change. Now she naps for 2 hours or more. We are sticking pretty well to the 2 3 4 schedule with an extra cat nap during the 4 hour stretch.
She has always slept through the night well so no complaints there. We did succesfully get her sleeping in her own room now.
Weight and length?
I don't remember her height at the 4 month check up but she was just over 11 lbs. Her height did increase more than her weight this time but the doctor was still happy with her weight gain.
How are YOU feeling?
I'm feeling great. This little girl is definitely spoiling us with sleeping at night! I just wish I didn't still have to get up at 130 am to pump but I wouldn't have extra milk in the fridge otherwise for the bedtime feed. The baby sleeps through the night but I don't...how is that fair!
Questions or concerns?
I can't freeze my milk without it going off so I haven't been adding to my stash but still have some that I previously froze before I discovered the problem. They are still okay to feed her I hear as it is just a taste issue. I was thinking of keeping them to mix with the rice cereal when she starts. Has anyone with a lipase issue done this? Will she take the cereal? Should I just toss the milk?
edited to add that it is either lipase or my self defrosting freezer causing the issue just from self research. I never tried to scald the milk prior as I pump the extra in the middle of the night and this just isn't practical.
Not until the very last day, the 30th.
Any milestones hit?
Yesterday I noticed he can spin the toys on his bouncer with precision. He will slowly spin them with just the tips of his fingers, then he will stop to watch it, and repeat. It is really neat watching him be able to use his hands so well.
Tell us about sleep, nighttime and naps-
We have been in sleep training because he was awake for far to long between naps. He still wakes every 3 hours at night to eat but only because he thinks his night begins at around 2 or 3 pm. He will sleep anywhere from 5-7 hours at that time. I really don't mind though because my older children are home around 3 and I get to spend the evening with them.
Weight and length?
Weight is 13lbs 8oz and length I believe is 25 inches.
How are YOU feeling?
Tired. haha No really I feel great. I couldn't ask for a sweeter baby. He talks and screeches and laughs all the time and it makes being tired so worth it!
Questions or concerns?
Neh
Good luck at work tomorrow! I hope things go well and there are not too many tears
When does baby turn four months?
She did Jan 8th! @BabyBoyH92016 our little ones share a birth date!
Any milestones hit?
Rolling belly to back finally, drooling a lot (thats a milestone right?), more purposeful with hand movements.
Tell us about sleep, nighttime and naps-
Total nap strike going on right now. 30min the ENTIRE day at daycare one day this week. Today was about 45min. Poor thing. Nighttime is pretty good, she's usually up around 3 to eat and goes back to sleep until 630 or so.
Weight and length?
Guessing her weight is around 15 or 16lbs. She's not a delicate little thing, haha! Not sure on length.
How are YOU feeling?
I'm doing alright. Feeling like I have zero downtime. Its just constant movement all the time. I wish I didn't have to work, but that's not going to happen. I do feel a lot more relaxed with this baby. Probably because she is such a relaxed baby. It makes me realize just how high needs my son was/is. I'm getting annoyed with my post baby body, but don't have time to do much about it. Just feeling like everyone needs me all the time I guess. The husband is adding to it, asking for sex constantly. Gets old. We're selling our house so I'm being anal about keeping it clean. Just living the dream right?
Questions or concerns?
I get my IUD fished out of me on Monday! Wish me luck! Doc thinks she'll be able to find it fairly quickly, she's SUPER excited to get in there and look around, haha! She said I can keep it for the baby book, totally am going to. Honestly looking forward to an excuse to lay around a few days...
My husband handles kitchen clean up, he sometimes makes kid lunches, he'll pitch in with laundry. But its hard. Very hard. Its a damn good thing these kids are cute!
I really need to stick it out at night.
ETA - are they doing full on surgery? I had laparoscopic a week ago today and feel pretty good now
