My BF: the random strangers who like telling me that I'm due "any day now" when I'm out and about. There needs to be a new rule:
1) Never ask a lady if she's pregnant
2) If she is beyond-shadow-of-a-doubt pregnant, don't ask her for details. She's just trying to get through the day and she doesn't know you.

I had told H ahead of time that it was on him to tell his family that they should stay at BIL's apartment, but his family takes those kind of things as suggestions - and when I mentioned that they may be more comfortable at BIL's, they said "oh it's fine we can all squeeze in here!" H didn't push back, and at that point I knew trying to be subtle and polite wasn't going to work so I gave up. H did apologize and thank me for putting up with it, but it is just exhausting to have four extra people in our tiny house, especially on a weeknight. And this is just how his family is - everyone's houses are just open to visitors, no one thinks to tell the hosts that extra people are coming, people who live in town (like BIL) just hang out for hours on end... It's their family culture, and it's difficult to combat.
Oh, and on top of all this: H's uncle is LOUD, and since they all got up super early this morning, I was awoken by loud-ass conversation in the next room a full 45 minutes before my alarm clock went off. H said he and MIL kept telling his uncle to be quiet, but I swear, this man has no concept of "inside voices". Both H and MIL apologized when I got up for waking me up early, but even with H reminding his uncle that I was trying to sleep and reminding him what time I usually wake up, he didn't even acknowledge the fact that I was up way before I should have been.
And then on top of all of this, my blood sugar readings were high for the first time ever this morning... I want to blame stress and lack of sleep, but I'm worried that I'm going to start seeing higher numbers as I get closer to 40 weeks :-/

I have a great story-- I can't believe I forgot to share this.
Last week I was at the bank for work. They know me there and see me abt 1x/wk. The teller is a girl I'd seen a few times before but never really talked to her. She starts doing my deposits and she says "Do you have kids?" Like, that is her opener, not even a hello. I said "just this one but she's not here yet!" and pointed to my giant belly. She says "congratulations! were you trying?"
I tried to keep the shock off my face bc i have to come to this bank 1x/wk for work and I don't want to make a scene. and she's young so I'm trying to be friendly. So I say "yep." and hope she doesn't say anything.
THEN she says "How did you do it?" I was so shocked that my jaw literally dropped. I just looked her straight in the eye and said totally deadpan "I had sex with my husband."
She turned 30 shades of red. And I just thought: Good! be embarassed! Fill yourself with shame! How dare you ask a stranger that?? How ishow I got pregnant any of your damn business?
Then I thought "Maybe she is trying to get pregnant and struggling. I'll show some compassion" So I said "Are you thinking about having kids?" And she said "Oh hell no!" WTF?
I thought about complaining but, again, I have to go to this bank constantly for work. I was totally unprepared for that interaction. Need some better RBF and one liners.
@Gretchypoo OMG, you get serious points for being straight with her. My standard shocked response is, "Uhm, pardon?" Followed by me staring blankly and forcing them to explain. I cannot believe she asked HOW you got pregnant.
My MBF is that we got some ice, all the schools are closed, a bunch of businesses are closed, but I had to strap my ice skates (not really, but ya know) on and get to the mall this morning to work. I've had 1 customer since I opened and there are basically tumbleweeds in the mall right now. I almost did the splits walking out of my front door to leave my house and I had to scoot around on the ice to scrape my windows like a chubby little penguin.
My BF is I totally overdid it last night after work. I came home and went cleaning fit crazy b/c after days of laying down being sick with a bad cold, I was feeling decent. Well I did WAY too much, gave myself horrid hip pain to the point I was literally in tears thinking something was wrong. And of course now today I am sitting at work with my cold acting up again and my body feeling like I have been hit by a train. Not a happy camper
Him: Hi
Me: Hey, how are you?
Him: Good, you?
Me: I'm good.
Him: How's everything going down there?
Me: Blank stare
Him: Rubs his belly
Me: Oh, um good. Six more weeks to go.
It was such a weird convo because while I'm obviously pregnant, I've never told him or talked to him about it. He's not someone I interact with on a daily basis so we usually say hi in the hallway. I wish I could have been more bold and said something like "well I've been having a lot of pressure on my cervix lately".
