I have an appt tmrw (1/9). I'm assuming it will just be to check HB, maybe measure my uterus. I'm gonna talk to her about my back pains and the brown spotting I had earlier this week. And I'm sure I'll get set up for the glucose test (yay....)
Routine appointment plus GD test on Thursday morning. Looking forward to getting the GD test out of the way and hopeful all will be well on that front.
This is most likely my second to last appointment with this practice, and I am not that sad about it. They were great when I had DD 3 years ago, but their office management has been pretty shit this go round.
I have my regular appointment on Friday. I see so many people moving to 2 week appointments at this stage. I've been 2 weeks the entire pregnancy due to high risk so I'm interested to see if they keep me there since all is well or move me to weekly. I'm also going to ask about cervical check(s), membrane sweeping, inducing, etc. I'd like to remain "untouched" as much as possible so we will see.
Regular appointment on Thursday - weight, heartbeats, and uterus measurement. I had the 3 hr GD test last Friday so I'll probably find out the results of that. On Friday, DH and I are meeting with a potential pediatrician for a basic consultation. And then Saturday, I signed us up for one of those preggo classes at the hospital. 9am-4:30pm (hopefully with snacks) followed by a tour of the hospital.

Appt today went well. My OB didn't yell at me for my lack of weight gain and actually said I was fine. I always seem to weigh more on the doctor's scale, but I'll take it! Also, my uterus is measuring right on track at 24. I have to go back in the next 2-4 weeks to do my glucose test. The funniest part was the OB asked about birth control after we have Samuel and I haven't exactly discussed my idea to do Natural Family Planning with DH yet. So he got to hear my thoughts about that there. Next appt is Feb 7 at 28 weeks (3rd tri!)
My sono went well yesterday and baby girl is looking great! Measuring about a week ahead (DS did too but was 2 days late) and estimated to be about 2lb 13 oz.
Bad news is I got the call this morning that I didn't pass the 1 hour glucose test and have to go back on Friday for the 3 hour. Boo! I know it's not the end of the world or something I can control but it still makes me grumpy! I am bracing myself for having to join the GD support group soon
I had an appointment with the lab this morning for my 1hr glucose and antibody screening. I should get the results at my routine 28 week appointment on Thursday. My doctor doesn't shift to 2 week appointments, so I'll be on the 4 week cycle until the very end. I'll check back in after my appointment Thursday.
I've got a routine 28 week appt on Thursday and I will have to bring up some (minor) issues, my questions about L&D protocol with the midwives, and try to get my growth u/s moved from the MFM to my regular OB if they are willing to do it. Fx it goes well!

I have my first appointment with my "new" (kinda new / they delivered my firstborn, but that was 8 years ago) Ob (at 29 weeks) on Friday. It's just a new patient intake with a nurse and I'm sure it's going to be outrageously boring and long (going through 5 pregnancies takes forever) and I have to bring my 2 toddlers bc my husband and inlaws are out of town. Wah! I did, however, just go to see my old OB last week and all was well and today I received the results from my glucose test and blooddraw and I passed GD and everything was normal so I'm happy about that!!
Regular appointment today! New nurse I haven't seen before took my vitals and was chewing her gum in my ear the entire time. I'm surprised it wasn't reflected in my blood pressure. Baby wasn't interested in the Doppler and was all over the place. The nurse got the heartbeat just long enough to get the BPM then baby wriggled away so she put the Doppler away. I would have loved to hear the HB for a little longer but thanks to @KirstinH88 I downloaded the Shell app to get my fix!
Aside from the less than stellar interaction with the nurse, we are measuring right on track, got orders for glucose test, and next appt is our last monthly appointment!
The doctors office is in the Women's Center of the hospital so after our appointment, DH & I got preregistration taken care of then took a tour of L&D! I am delivering at a different hospital this time so it was great to get the lay of the land. Like it did for DD, it got real when I saw the bed for delivery! To think we will be there welcoming our little one in just over three months!
@belocin I'm glad the app is working out for you! @Dannylion24 Can you previous dr not transfer records so you don't have to go over every single pregnancy prior to this one? Seems daunting. Especially with 2 toddlers in tow.
I just had a regular appointment earlier. Blood pressure, doppler and questions. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Last month my midwife was concerned that I wasn't gaining any weight, but this month she told me that I can't gain 10 lbs every month (which I did for the last two months ) I've made the rest of my appointments until a week before my due date. The only appointments left I have to make is one with an OB, the 28 week growth scan and the 32 week growth scan. My glucose test is ordered and I just have to show up to the lab for the 1 hour test.
This is nuts. We're so close to meeting our babies!!!
@kirstinh88 yes - my paperwork should all be there ahead of me so hopefully that will help! I may even call and point out that I did an extensive intake meeting at the start of this pregnancy with my old OB ... maybe reminding them to look for that summary sheet will help speed things up, thanks! I'm also not technically brand new to this practice or the hospital (or to pregnancy for that matter) and at this stage there aren't a lot of tests left to schedule, etc. Fingers crossed it isn't a total disaster!
I had a regular appt today. Weight check, BP, uterus measurement, doppler. She said shes glad my weight has finally caught up, i had only gained a few lbs at my last visit, and now total in up 11lbs. Uterus is measuring perfect, and HB was 153. Ahe gave me instructions for my GD test, so I'll do that in the next week or so. Also saw the chiropractor today. It was the most uncomfortable adjustment I've had, but ibfeel great now!
I had my 28 week appointment this morning, and all went well. Blood pressure was fine, baby boy's heart rate was 155, and my weight was just fine. They have me marked as up 10 lbs from my first OB appointment at 10 weeks, so I feel pretty good about that. I got my lab results for my glucose test (passed!!) and my iron level (which was good too). I also got my rhogam shot and RX for my breast pump... now I have to figure that process out. My fundal height was measuring 29 weeks, but they said it's fine within 2 weeks of where you are in either direction since everyone grows differently. Overall a good appointment, and it feels like a big milestone to have reached the third trimester!
had my return appointment for BP check and they listened to little girls heartbeat to make sure she wasn't stressed. She mentioned if my BP stays elevated then I'll have to cut back at work which is something I really don't want to do so I'm going to try to be very good about resting. I already had a sono and return OB appointment for Wednesday so I'm supposed to keep track of my BP twice a day until then. blah.
Had a nice, boring appointment today. Everything is as it should be! Baby girl is even head down - let's hope she stays that way! I have another appointment scheduled for exactly 4 weeks from today, though I was surprised that my midwife said if I wanted to, I'd be fine to wait 6 weeks and just have my next appointment be with the new practice after we've moved as I'm healthy and the pregnancy is progressing with no issues. I did consider it for a bit but ultimately decided I'd start to worry going so long between checkups.
My appointment went great today. We got my growth u/s moved from the MFM to the OB to cut down on appts and my fundal height was right on track. FX this means baby girl has hit a growth spurt. Guess we will find out on the 31st!

Currently sitting in the ob office waiting out the morning doing my 3 hour test. The drink was one of the most disgusting things ever! It took me every bit of the allowed 8 minutes to get down! Started everything about 30 min ago and already have the headache and can't stop burping the stuff...Gross! They told me the first hour is the worst and to keep drinking water and it'll get better. I am starving already too so I can only imagine how I'll feel in 3 hours!!
28 week appointment went well today - uterus measured on track, BP/heartbeat were good, and I got some questions answered. Unfortunately, I found out my OB is changing practices at the end of the month....so I am not sure what I'm going to do. I do like my office and all the mid-level providers I have met with so I would rather not change offices to follow her, but I also don't like the idea of changing doctors at this point. Ugh.
@schef070911 Thanks, it is a pain! The only reason I am not overly upset about it is that I am honestly not in love with my OB. She's a good doctor and I trust her, but it's not like we have a great connection or anything. And honestly I feel like I talk more with the mid-levels at my office anyway, and they are all staying. So I think I am OK with switching OB's to stay at the same office.
On another note..I also had a quick ultrasound at my appt to check cervical length because I was having a lot of BH this past week and it was making me nervous. Good news is, cervix is still super long (>4 cm) so nothing to worry about there. Bad news is it looks like baby boy is breech right now. Doctor said it's no big deal at 28 weeks so I didn't even think about it but then last night I started worrying. They don't check his position again until 34-36 weeks, which seems like it would be too late to turn him if he's still in this position and then I would likely end up needing a c-section. Any advice? I am probably needlessly worrying myself at this stage, but just wondering if anyone has experience with this.
@kitkat8387, DS was breech til past 32 weeks sometime (can't remember exactly dates but he flipped between my 32&34 week appts I think it was). So keep up hope and there's still time for your little one to flip! I definitely felt it though, holy moly! Will your doc try delivery with breech or is it automatically a c section?
@mylittleirvz good question. I'm actually not sure if they would attempt delivery if he's breech, but I'm going to ask at my next appointment for sure. Glad to know yours flipped at this stage!
@kitkat8387 when I was at the hospital yesterday and had a bio physical profile done the tech wouldn't tell me anything except that it was still a boy and my fluid was perfect. I peeked and saw him type "frank breech" on one of the screens. I went to the google monster and now I'm thoroughly terrified! I have a follow up on Tuesday with my OB and I am going to ask the same questions. I hope you little one flips as does mine! @mylittleirvz thanks for giving me hope!
@kitkat8387 does the spinning babies site have any tips that start around 28 weeks? I haven't personally looked into their info so I'm not sure, but could be worth a look! Maybe they have exercises you could try between now and your next position check.
I had my 29 week appointment on Friday (and then proceeded to get into a minor car accident in the hospital parking garage...). Weight, BP, heart beat. I've gained about 20 pounds, which I think is high but my doctor isn't worried. I'm sure I overrate when second tri started and I stopped feeling like shit. I have another apt in 3 weeks and then I go to every 2. Should have an US coming up at 35 weeks.
