i consider myself pretty tough. i don't often get sick, i work out daily, i have long work days, i have a 16 month old and am 14 weeks pregnant.
i also have a pretty brutal cold right now.
fever. chills. coughing up phlegm.
i complained to my husband.
why do men men feel the need to reiterate some hand me down story about "you know...back in the day...women used to be working in the field, stop what they were doing...have the baby and go right back to work"
really? how do you think that worked out for them? do you think that was how they wanted their day to go--or do you think they had a sadder story to tell? we don't live in those times, and though i respect that fortitude, all i'm asking is for some compassion from my husband!
