I've got one today at 2. It'll be my first appointment this pregnancy. I'm really nervous because I started spotting last night and it's only gotten worse this morning.. also had intense cramping weeks 5-6.
I know I had seen a few others have their first appointment scheduled today as well. I hope everything goes well for you guys and you get to hear that tiny little heartbeat!

@pbandjyummies me too! Bright and early at 8:15. Are you getting an ultrasound? I wish they would do that first before everything else since I'm very nervous/anxious about seeing my little gummy bear.
I have an appointment on the 12th. I believe its the physical one, and we will get to hear the heartbeat with the doppler. I can not wait for that, as we just saw it at our first apt back in December. We will be just about 10.5 weeks at that point too.

@szwill86 thanks for the positve thoughts my way. I started bleeding more and my doctor told me to come to the ER. Unfortunately baby's only measuring 5 weeks and no heartbeat. Looks like I'm about to say my goodbyes.

Oh @flowerintherain I'm so sorry. You've been on my mind this morning, I was hoping that you would be getting better news. I hope that you take care of yourself during this time, and when you're ready that your rainbow baby joins your family. Lots of hugs.

@flowerintherain I'm so sorry to hear your news...Take care of yourself Will be thinking of you and hoping you get your beautiful rainbow baby in the future.
I have another appt Wed. They will do physical, another u/s to check baby and size of SCH and review my blood pressure. I am pretty nervous but will reassure to see the baby. Next week they will run genetic/gender test BC of my age. @flowerintherain I am so sorry for your loss. As soon as we are pregnant we become parents. My heart is with you.
I have my first ultrasound tomorrow and am nervous! It's crazy being on these boards and seeing those who are coming in... and going. Statistically that has to happen, which is so awful. With what our bodies go through it seems so unfair for any pregnancy to not work out. I am just praying hard there's a heartbeat. I read out "missed miscarriages" so even though I still feel pregnant, I know that doesn't guarantee anything. Ugh. Positive thoughts for all of us to get through our respective first trimesters!
@szwill86 I'm pretty sure it includes an ultrasound I also kinda need to get a dating ultrasound anyways because I never really got a period prior to getting pregnant, I was breastfeeding and got pregnant 6 months after having DD. totally agree I wish it was the first thing they did but I know they leave it for last arrrrgh
I had an appointment with my thyroid doctor. I had hyperthyroidism but it has gone into remission. My doctor wanted to test my levels when I became pregnant and all the results came back normal. Before going in I was bracing myself for how often he would want to see me ($30 co-pay each time). But he said I don't need to go back unless I have symptoms. I assume my regular OB will test my levels when they draw blood for other things, but I will have to ask at my next appointment.
I just had an appointment tonight. I got to meet my midwife for the first time and we did a basic exam. The most exciting part was hearing the baby's heartbeat! I scheduled an ultrasound for next week, so I'll be excited to know even more information then.
I had mine today! We got to hear the heartbeat! The Dr kept saying that it might be hard to hear, or we might not at all but she would try anyway, and we heard it. She didnt tell us how fast, but I dont care, it was healthy, and the most beautiful sound ever! It was also a full physical appointment, and I havent gained any weight! Im overweight to begin with, so I have been trying super hard to not gain. It also makes me feel good to have actually lost (they think its from the healthy eating), despite my pants not fitting well!

@Kathryn0903 Apparently we had the exact same appointment. The OB said that the lost weight for me was most likely from eating less, and healthier. I havent felt hungry in weeks, so I eat super small meals, and that might be helping the weight loss. Im okay with it, because I am already overweight, I really didnt want to gain in the first Tri. However the fact that my pants are not fitting well is not helping me believe that I lost weight!

I had my first u/s (transvaginal) on Tuesday at 7+3 and they could only see the sac and it only measured 5 weeks. I started spotting this morning and have another appt tomorrow morning for another u/s and hcg blood test. I am really hoping it isn't a blighted ovum. Please keep me in your thoughts, ladies.

I have my first ultrasound today at 2! There was also a general recommendation of doing a screen to search for issues and find out gender/sex of baby. FH and I will have to see if we should! It wasn't as expensive as I thought I would be!
@deh479 good luck with your appointment today! Please keep us updated if you can!
@jpearl2307 we got the same general recommendation as well. We've chosen to do the basic test on baby--which automatically includes the gender (SEX geez no one kill me) test--but not on me (I think there's two levels, one that just tests baby and one that tests baby+mom). I think it's called NxGen. They said it's only $20!
I just had my appointment and I'm tracking right on schedule. they didn't print out a picture for me and they didn't check the heart beat but you can see it flickering on the screen. she did it was too early for that... -_- liars!
Had my first appointment/ultrasound today and it didn't go that well I should be 8 weeks today based on LMP but I'm only measuring 6w3d. Also, the sack is small and there's not a lot of fluid. I have to go back in a week for a recheck. They did find the heartbeat though and he said it was perfect. So as of right now I'm hoping for the best and floating between August 17 and September 17 to see if LO catches up or if I just ovulated later.
And the US tech at my appointment said my uterus "drops off" wth! she wasn't able to get a good pic of baby and now I'm wondering, anyone had this happen to them? I'm concerned that my uterus may cause issues with my pregnancy.
I had an "appointment" on Thursday (8w5d) and they did nothing except take blood and urine and book future appointments. Wouldn't even attempt to find a heartbeat! I'm so bummed! I had 3 losses between DD1 and DD2 so would love a confirmation that things are going well in there. That being said i also kind of like the minimal invasion level of practice.
I had my confirmation appt on Thursday (I measured 8weeks 4 days) & also had a transvaginal sonogram. Got to see my peanut and hear the heartbeat at 180. Can't believe we are having baby #2!!
