I am frustrated with DH, and it's not his fault. He is more than likely going to be layed off from his company in 2 weeks. His company has restructured, and his manager has been dropping hints to him like "I always told my wife to never quit her job right before the new fiscal year". He has been with this company for 11 years, and has been talking about looking for something new, but has yet to do anything about it. We have been working hard all year so I can be a SAHM once LO arrives- saving, cutting expenses, paying off items, etc., and now it is all shot to hell. I always imagined being able to stay home with 2 kids, but I won't be able to unless he finds something that pays just as much as he earns now before April. I shouldn't blame him- he has no control over this, but I think a little part of me does.
@rachelmiller03 I'm sorry that you are going through this worry and stress. Is there any hope that while his company is being restructured, that your H won't actually lose his job?
MY FFFC: I'm obviously going to let LO come whenever he is ready, but with that being said, 1) I hope he does not come on his due date, 4/29. 29 is just such an ugly number to me (haha!) 2) I would love it if he came 2-3 weeks early (as long as he is healthy) so that I don't have to worry about school dropoff/pickup with the other kids and a newborn. 3) We have a ton of birthdays in our family in April and I want him to have his own special day and not share with anyone else, or on 4/20 (for obvious reasons), or Easter, or April Fools. The only day that I would be ok with him sharing a birthday with is my grandma (4/9). So basically, while I'm going to let him come when he decides, he better pick a good day And he better not come late! I don't want a May baby! HAHAHA!!!
I'm due 3/27 and kinda hoping for a St. Patrick's Day baby, but if not I'm totally vying for April. I already have two March children (3/12 and 3/31) and tons of other family birthdays that month (like your April @KirstinH88) & would truly prefer new baby 5 not to have the siblings share! Of course my older son is making his first communion in April so really hoping this babe isn't too too late! If only we could plan such things, lol
I kinda wish this little one comes 1-2 weeks earlier than 4-1-17. Just so DH can start his leave early and not finish the awful work project he has all March
@Dannylion24 My birthday is 3/18 (day after St. Patty's) and honestly, I loved it. I even got the bouncer to let me into a bar on St. Patty's, the day before I turned 21. It's like everyone is out to celebrate my birthday. Now that I'm an "old lady." It doesn't matter much to me. But when I was younger, it was such a fun birthday to have.
Acceptable days of birth: 4/2, 4/4, 4/5, 4/6, 4/8, 4/14, 4/15, 4/18, 4/22, 4/24, 4/25, 4/26, 4/28, 4/30. Pick wisely son! Do you see how there are no odd numbers above unless they are a multiply of 5? Ya....I'm weird... But again....This is all a joke. I would never schedule an induction just to get the "perfect" date.
Haha. I just know baby girl is gonna be born on 4/20. But if she wanted to come late and share my birthday (4/26) I would think that was pretty cool.
FFFC: I swear a lot when I'm alone. I don't like to swear in front of anyone because when I'm angry, I'm trying to respond in healthy ways. But if something ticks me off or drivers drive badly, I will happily unleash a steam of profanities. My dog recognizes certain words and at the sound of them, hides behind the couch. I need to stop before baby girl is here though. As far as I'm concerned she won't know those words exist until she's 16. Haha.
I also have ideas about when I want my baby to be born. I really want her to come on her due date (according to me) which is April 2. Based on LMP my doctor says it's March 30. I hate March (it's the worst month in New England by far). I also don't want her born on April Fool's Day. If I could pick any day, it would be April 12, but obviously we won't go that far. I've always liked the number 12.

My FFFC is I'm all about a good laugh - even at my unborn childrens' expense
I actually WANT the boys to come on April 1st. I play a lot of pranks at work and we have multiple locations and I know there are some folks in the other offices who probably don't know I'm pregnant. I keep imagining sending out the announcement on April Fool's day and just laughing to myself that there's probably people going "Is she serious? Of course not, it's Sam" Even when I tell people it's twins they give me a side eye look like, "is this one of your jokes?" So I tell them "Nahh, I'm just getting fat." As long as I'm laughing, that's all that matters! I actually didn't formally tell anyone that I was pregnant (except a couple people who knew I was going through IVF.) The funniest thing is their expressions when I really popped and they'd just point at my gut like "wait, what?" Now we're spreading rumors about who the father is. One salesman came up to me today and "whispered" in front of a lot of people "is it mine?" to which I responded "I don't know! But make sure you make out on commissions this quarter just in case..."

Baby's gonna come whenever she wants, but if I'm being honest I'd love for her to avoid my birthday (3/29), her youngest cousin's birthday (4/2) and my FIL's birthday (4/9). I think all the other dates are okay with me.
@Dannylion24 haha DD is a St. Paddy's Day baby, and that was the one day on which I didn't want her to be born!
edited to add: I don't really have any preference for birth date of this one, but I'd be very happy not to go super overdue...DD was 9 days late. That was fun.
@super_sam03 - I feel the same way as you! EDD is 4/5, our anniversary is 4/1 (yes, we very much wanted to get married on April Fool's day!) and DH's bday is 4/8. We've just had to accept that the first week of April is going to be insane no matter what.
My FFFC this week is I have been busting my butt at work since returning from Christmas break, and now that I've finally finished a huge part of my January project, I've suddenly lost the motivation to do anything else for today. I'm going to sneak out early, too.
Ha, I was just having this conversation with a coworker today. I'm so over school at this point, so I told her I would t mind if the baby came early (as long as he was healthy) so I could avoid a few more days of work. That would make LO a March baby though. I like the month of April so much more, but would sacrifice the month to get extra time off work
I'm cracking up at these...I haven't even considered dates yet, I'm just hoping to go as late as possible. I'd rather stick it out this school year and have more time at the beginning of next year to stay home (I can't really explain why, just feels easier).
My FFFC is that I pulled the pregnancy card at work today. We have a new student from out of state. His IEP states he is violent and needs to be in a self-contained special ed class with a 1:1 aide. Well, my lovely office manager went ahead and enrolled him. And put him in my class.
So now the district is dragging their feet on moving him (he'll need to go to another school) and even claiming they won't because we already "accepted him". I've never once suggested I shouldn't have a child in my class before, regardless of their disability, but on this one....no way (he's attacked teachers in the past, had cops called on him, etc). I told my principal I didn't feel safe. Fingers crossed they don't want the liability of violent kid + pregnant teacher....

I'm a weirdo, too, and have an unexplainable affinity for odd numbers. DS's EDD is 4/3. The only day I really don't want is April Fool's Day. March, being the third month, would be preferred.
@KirstinH88 the weather in New England in March. You feel like it should be spring but it's still winter. It's cold and wet and muddy or snowy, and by then you're tired of the snow.

Lurker finally chiming in- I'm due 4/13 and would totally be ok with a last-day-of-march baby. April is such a full month for birthdays in my family and I want some time to get settled with baby at home with the toddler and dog before my in laws show up "sometime in April" and drive me batty.
Fffc- I plan on telling my family outright lies when they ask me about baby names this weekend. I'm currently traveling to see them (super quick weekend trip) and I know it'll be a topic of conversation because my sister is also pregnant (she's due beginning of march with her first, there's a lot of excitement). I'm not ready to share our baby's name with them yet so I'm coming up with ridiculous names and outrageous lies to keep the nosy relatives on their toes.
our DD is 4/9 but I really want her to come on 4/5. My birthday is June 7th and DHs is August 9th so we would have a 4/5, 6/7, and 8/9. I keep trying to tell her which day she needs to come on, we'll see if she listens.
@KirstinH88 your experience is basically how I imagine having a St. Patrick's Day birthday would be… Not a major major holiday so pretty fun and special to share. That's hilarious that you ended up with that date when you didn't actually want it @blueberry85 - your little leprechaun! "Of course" is right! For me the affinity with St. Patrick's Day has been a long time coming now… My first two kiddos are only 11 months apart so it's a running joke in my family that I have Irish twins and for the first few years we always had a double bday party the weekend around St. Patrick's day since that holiday falls right in the middle of their two birthdates. Not to mention that were super Catholic and super Irish, have a super Irish last name, all the kiddos pretty much have Irish first names, and now we're fulfilling yet another Irish stereotype by having a super large family. It just seems like we're destined to have a Saint Paddy's day baby considering this is my third kiddo with a due date in March. I also wouldn't mind April Fools' Day, oddly enough. My first daughter pulled a bit of an April fools joke on my husband… She was a full week late and showed absolutely no signs of coming soon so he went ahead and ordered me a push present (my unpopular opinion this week would be that I actually hate that term) necklace with a diamond in it (April birthstone) ... well guess who was born at 2:32 in the afternoon on March 31???!
@koodler080 haha! I've thought about doing the same thing. Just to see if they think I'm serious. And also so I don't have to share the real name. The problem is, I'm a terrible liar. Haha.
@Dannylion24 what a crazy awesome coincidence. I love the story behind it. I hope you're baby doesn't come early for health reasons, but that would be too perfect a birthday.
@super_sam03 my actual dd is April 1st and now I am really embracing it, esp given this baby wasn't supposed to ever happen, lol! I had a customer last night who was born on the 1st as well and she said it was a great day for a birthday, IHO.
As long as this baby doesn't come a week late like DS, I will be okay with whatever. But a baby on the 1st would be the icing on the cake for this pregnancy, ha ha.
