I found an article today that was great, and thought instead of making my own post - which I kind of am - I want to open it up to other articles as well. If you find anything that you were struck by - peanut research, nursery decorating tips,physical therapy recommendations... - post it here!

PS If there is enough interest in bookmarking this to the top, we can do that. If not, at least I will remember to search for it!

    Last June, Cosmo wrote an article on pelvic rehab. I don't read Cosmo, and was shocked to see such an important women's health article online published by them and nowhere else that I can tell.

    Great article!  I had to have Pelvic Floor Therapy after my son was born and I'm so glad my Dr was able to diagnose me quickly and accurately.  The pain I was having was no fun at all but in the beginning I just thought it was normal childbirth pain.  I had never heard of pelvic floor therapy before and agree with the article that there isn't enough awareness in the US about pelvic floor issues from childbirth.

    Definitely an interesting read. I had painful sex every time from when my first was born to when my second was born (27 months apart). I asked two different doctors at my ob office and even had one appointment with a different ob office to ask about that issue, and all the doctors gave me the same answer: "It's normal... Give it time... Take it slow... Use more lube" ... For over 2 years. Then after my 2nd was born I magically had no issues. I had an episiotomy with my first and tearing along that scar with my second. The only thing I can think is that the episiotomy didn't heal correctly, and when it reopened it was stitched better or healed better for some other reason.

    After posting that article on my FB, a friend sent this one along too. I had mentioned to her that I was worried about becoming a "sensitive mother" because I have always prided myself on being rational and able to think through emotional things without reacting emotionally. We'll see how this baby will change my emotional life!
