Any new VBAC hopeful mamas with us this week? How far along are you and how many c-sections have you had?
Are you open to being induced for your VBAC?
Do you know the "rules" for VBAC? Does your provider have any rules of their own?
Do you have the support of your family and/or your SO?

Re: VBAC check in! 1/14
Still here from last week
Are you open to being induced for your VBAC?
I'd like to avoid it at all costs. Hoping to go into labor naturally. But I would like my water not to break this time so I can have time to progress to at least a 6/7 before water breakage, so I can have more time to labor with broken water!

I have read some rules but I haven't talked to my OB yet. I really hope she's supportive since I had my c-section mostly because of the stupid anesthesiologist screwing up. I just know I can do a VBAC.

DH is still having a hard time, he's really scared something bad will happen to me and baby. Before we got pregnant again he told me he only wanted another if we had a repeat c section. My family is supportive, my dad even said he would drive to Montana if I couldn't find a hospital here that would do it lol!
GTKY: Why is a VBAC important to you?
I want a VBAC because I had a traumatic birth the first time, I want to experience the birth I know I could have had. I also want more babies and I know that the change of a VBAC (especially in Wyoming where we have limited resources) greatly diminishes with each c-section. I feel like more c-sections is more dangerous than more vaginal births. I want two more after this one. Plus the recovery is awful, and I will have a 20 month old that if I have another c section I won't be able to pick up for six weeks
Hi! I have had 1 c section and 1 VBAC
Are you open to being induced for your VBAC?
This is my second VBac so I really hope maybe it can be more natural but I'm with a new doctor and don't know their rules.

I just moved and have a new doctor so I will have to see what they do.
Do you have the support of your family and/or your SO?
Yes

When I had my c section they took her from me and I got stitiched up and they made me sit and wait while I was monitored. It was over an hour before I met my baby. I definitely felt some lack of connection with that long wait.
with my VBac I healed so much quicker. It went really well so I'm hoping for a good second go!
Mind telling me about your VBAC?! How long did it take? Were you induced? Did your doctor make you do anything specific like have an epidural or anything? Any tips for me?
Edited for spelling, stupid fat thumbs
The VBAC went well, my doctor said I was good to do one but yes I had to have an epidural in case something went wrong. That was the only measure they took and everything went smoothly! I can't think if there is more you may want to know, just let me know!
1 previous C section. I'm 5 weeks today.
my precious section was traumatic and the healing was long and very painful, so if I can avoid that happening again I definitely will! My husband is supportive, but I don't think he really understands why I'm willing to put myself through a long and hard labor again to possibly wind up with the same outcome. He thinks elective is safer, easier and less messy of a situation in general.
Mostly I just feel like my birth I wanted to have got stolen from me, and I'd love another chance at it.
Im terrified of being induced again, because I think that had a lot to do with why I ended up needing one last time. Baby wasn't ready and the pitocin rushed him down so quickly he ended up descending sideways into my pelvis and got stuck.
So, if it's induction or elective... that would be a tough choice.
