No Nasal bone at 12 week scan

I have had my 12 week scan for genetic disorders specific to down syndrome. I am a first time mom and was very excited, everything went well except the technician could not see the calcified nasal bone. So I had to speak to a genetic counselor and give blood for more screenings. I felt very scared and with their urgency I didn't feel any comfort, even knowing thay it could show up later... anyone have a similar experience?
