SO won't decide on a house. I'm fine with any of them. Today I say fuck it and am getting our one bedroom condo as ready as possible. It's not going to be fun but I ll have to make the best of it. Uuuggghhhhhh
um, the April board just had their first set of twins. Sometimes I lurk there because I'm in denial at how close to the finish line we are, and holy smokes it feels too real. Some serious internet hugs going out to that momma.
I thought I was the only one freaking! I mean I am terrified. I feel awful, like an elephant. 36 wks yesterday and the baby measured 8lbs 7 oz at the ultrasound. Oh also, I'm moving next week. Yes moving. Carpet gets installed Monday/Tuesday and then we move. I'll be over 37 weeks. Then baby furniture needs to be delivered, baby stuff unpacked/washed, need to finish the registry ....is this even possible?
I'm also working full time until....delivery? At a high stress job that I've been totally unable to transition the position to someone else and in fact we had to hire someone extra bc of it. He starts the 23rd. And I'm doing some consulting on the side/at night. It's awful.
Oh and I'm sick! Coughing up a lung. What timing....
When I do get a free second to even think straight...all I can think about is how scared of labor I am!!!!
A friend who was due 2 weeks before me had her baby today, 3 weeks early. Freaking out a little, I have SO much to do still. If this baby comes early I will be screwed.
I don't have an exact date yet (will get one later this week), but my doctor has decided to schedule my c-section for 36 weeks, which is basically 2 weeks away! I'm tired of bedrest and absolutely miserable, but it's still kind of freaky that there's going to be an end date and it's so soon!
On top of having twins, I am selling my house in Texas, quitting my job of 10 years, moving to Colorado, and taking over a business in a completely different industry, all of which will happen by mid-March.
I just had my first episode of "omg should I call the doctor?" contractions. They seemed to have calmed down now but I'm starting to get a little freaked out!

I am completely f*cking insane, it's official.
The good news is you will love Colorado, I may be biased but Colorado is the best
Shiz just went from eh... to full blown HOLY F-ING SHIZ!!! I had my 36 week check up today, and as I described some symptoms/concerns my Dr did the whole ya ya ya type response until she checked me and said I'm already 1 cm dilated and that baby boy is really low... she said really low, and repeated it 3 times, then started telling me everything I need to start watching for in case I go into labor!!!
@kswiger06 Yeah but I've heard that a lot of women walk around a few centimeters dilated for the last few weeks and don't even know it, so try not to stress about it too much?

@skiingstark We're moving to Estes Park -- my dad has a house there and we have family in Ft. Collins, so we're excited because it's a big change but we'll also have family around to help us out.

Where in CO are you?
Pueblo, CO so down south. Half my family live up in Fort Collins. Estes Park is beautiful, that is a great place to live.
@kswiger06 we're just a few days apart, and though I haven't had a cervix check I feel exactly like you're describing. The head/cervix pounding is pretty intense! Not a great feeling, but exciting to imagine that he's getting situated for his big entrance!
@kswiger06 - pretty soon you might be on the birth announcements thread...so exciting!
My dr is officially pulling me out of work after I finish off my work week next week. There is prediction that baby girl is coming by 38 weeks, and she doesn't want me driving anymore after next week. So my shiz is getting real too....knowing I will be on maternity leave really really soon.....and just seeing how close everyone is getting to their EDD....wow
I wouldn't put too much thought into doctors predicting an early birth unless they plan to induce due to medical reasons. One of my friends is 41 weeks today and has been 3 cm dilated/90% effaced since 37 weeks. Her doctor also predicted her baby would come early but nope. Not trying to be a Debbie downer though!!
@kswiger06 hoping your little guy stays put a little longer but it's still very exciting and scary to know your body is getting itself ready!!

@BlondePeanut Going off work may end up changing the game a little for you. If I hadn't gone on leave at 36 weeks, I think I probably would have gone early. But switching to mat leave gave me the extra 4 weeks, and now I'm fairly positive I'm going to be post-dates before this baby comes... so who knows??
Oh, I'm most definitely not expecting to suddenly go into hard labor, but I was all la-di-da until today when I heard the words "you're already 1 cm dilated" that was my official shiz just got real moment lol. I know it could be weeks still and honestly I'm hoping for at least a couple more just for little guys best interest, but it was a real hello moment for me to realize he will be on his way lol
We did the hospital tour last night, since this is the first time I have delivered at that hospital. That was a bit of a holy shiz moment for me, especially walking around with my husband and our three other kids!

@FerForShort, my c-section is scheduled for 2/2 as well! Yay for Groundhog Babies!
Wow, lots of babies for 2/2! I'm still waiting for confirmation for my c-section date but the doc said any day between 2/1 to 2/3. So there's a chance I may have ground hog baby too. Also, if everything goes well and she makes it to 2/2, I believe @PerraSucia is scheduled for hers on that date as well!

Geez that's insane. Your OB may definitely want to schedule your C earlier, mostly based on your diastolic numbers. Hoping you get better results than that.

Re: Shiz Just Got Real
Next up for deliveries this week is some herbal sitz spray, and nursing nightgowns.
I am about to need this stuff, in just over a month.
