Re: WTF Wednesday 01.11.17

  • WTF to this weather. Sunday there was ice on the ground and today it's 74 and humid. Make up your mind

  • @fitlady21 That is exactly what is going on here as well, now more ice storms coming this weekend... some consistency would be nice, nature!
  • Wtf job.
Yes I've been gone for 12 weeks but it seems like the place went to shizz in that timeframe. The assisted living residence welcomed me with two nasty dead giant ferns in the entrance way...The resident bulletin board had 4th of July paper with fireworks border that somehow someone put up after my last day there Oct. 12th..The artificial Xmas trees ahave been stripped of their decorations and are just chilling there..Not to mention the girl I trained extensively to cover me just up and quit after a few weeks??

  • @brzvice I'm scared to go back because I've already been hearing some things. So much has changed since I've been out. People have left, new people have started, attitudes have changed, and so have the systems. Luckily I've been kept informed by my coworker who is also a friend or I'd probably be shocked to see the differences.
  • @Ladybug2821 It will take some time trying to get yourself up to speed and learning all the new names and faces. Don't expect to get a ton done your first week.. people will be asking about you and baby and may even need some input or help with an issue that arose while you were gone. Its like some people stopped working and waited until I was back to answer their questions before moving forward with a project.
Also, if your planning on pumping at work it may not be easy to set aside or find the time. It's an issue I am dealing with now and I'm sure a reason why a lot of moms have ended up drying up.:-(

  • @brzvice I am pretty sure that employers are legally obligated to provide a time and a place for nursing mothers to pump, I would talk to HR about that!
  • I'm pretty lucky in that regard. Unless there is some super important meeting I will be able to pump when necessary. They already have a place for me to do it. I also think @AllyTheKid is right but I know a lot of employers will try to find some excuse and make it difficult.
