Re: FTM Check-In 1/10
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Most symptoms seem to be settling down thankfully. Headaches are becoming more frequent though. And I think I might detect the beginning of a bump???
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Had an appointment last Friday. Everything was good and we got to hear the heartbeat for the first time
Rants/raves? Can it be spring already? Winter is dragging me down.
Questions for FTM, or STM+? Not at the moment.
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? DH and I have discussed and we'd both be happy with two. We'll have to see how this first one goes though

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in?
No more sore breasts! Nausea has been a lot better, but now I've developed an aversion to chicken!!
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go?
I had my second appointment on the 5th. Baby is growing nicely! Very active too. I was worried because I was losing all of my symptoms and it was giving me anxiety, but seeing baby move and dance definitely lifted my spirits. I also did my California Prenatal Screening blood test and scheduled my NT Scan.
Rants/raves?
DH and I have begun to tell some extended family and close friends the news! Everyone is excited and have us in prayers. Seems like everyone is team pink at this point, but DH and I just want a happy, healthy baby!
Questions for FTM, or STM+?
None right now
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want?
Ideally I want 2 kids of my own in addition to my stepson
How far along are you? 11+5
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Not really. Boobs are still really sore at night, but are usually fine during the day. Our bodies are weird!
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? We had our first full appt with our new midwives yesterday! We love their approach, and were able to hear the heartbeat on the doppler (hadn't heard the HB since our ultrasound three weeks ago). DH was able to record it, too!
Rants/raves? I'm telling my boss tomorrow during our 1on1, and I'll probably tell the rest of my team on Thursday. I'm excited and terrified at the same time. It's a bit earlier than I would have liked, but it's my monthly check in with my boss so it seemed weird to ask for a separate meeting a week later. Plus, I feel a lot better now that we heard the HB again yesterday!
Questions for FTM, or STM+? I'll come back if I think of anything...
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? In a perfect world, 2. But twins do run in my family, so we'll see how that goes!

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? None really. Breasts are less sore, still constipated and exhausted.... maybe have had some RLP (???) but not really sure what it feels like.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? 2nd appointment tonight; scared, nervous, excited. DH was disappointed that we may not have a ultrasound tonight if they can get the heartbeat on Doppler.
Rants/raves? I am over winter. I'm cold and tired and I think being pregnant is exacerbating all my moodiness over the weather!
Questions for FTM, or STM+?
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? 3-4, but seeing as with #2 (when that happens) I'll be advanced maternal age, we'll settle for 2.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? My "blump", which was mostly there pre-BFP, seems to be getting harder, making sleeping more uncomfortable. Also I TRY to drink more liquids, but I swear they make me gassy and constantly feeling like I need to burp! Still very little sounds good to eat, even though I didn't really have morning sickness with the aversions.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? I was supposed to have one this morning but my OB was out sick so I rescheduled for Friday.
Rants/raves? DH's bday is on Thursday, so I was going to stay home from work since my coworker is out of town, and now I just found out that my boss is coming into town so I will have to do the 3+ hr commute days in a row and probably miss doing anything fun with DH.
Questions for FTM, or STM+? Last night I had to stop at Walmart after work to return something and pick up some groceries, so I didn't end up getting home until after 9pm. I'm not sure how moms with a long commute do it???
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? We planned to be one and done. We'll see how it goes.
Highly monitored internet and no cell service in the office, so I'm postin' and ghostin' while I'm workin'

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Think this is my first time posting in the FTM check-in! But overall the nausea has gotten much better over the past couple weeks. I'm thrilled to be able to eat more veggies again, though I don't know if that will extend to salads I prepare for myself! Also, booo restless leg syndrome. I've always had it a little but it's shifted into a new gear.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Switching to new OB practice tomorrow!
Rants/raves? I finally got some "real" bras in my new size yesterday. Feels so good. And the girls look GOOD. I'll miss 'em when they shrink back down.
Questions for FTM, or STM+?
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? 2, as long as #1 doesn't give us too much of a run for our money.
Any new symptoms or changes since last check in?
Probably not. Just the headaches!
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Nope - appointment is tomorrow!
Rants/raves? Not this week
Questions for FTM, or STM+? Already asked in the lovely dumb questions thread
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? 2. I like having siblings!

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in?
A little constipation. Not too bad, but a far cry from the diarrhea that dominated most of the first tri.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go?
Nope
Rants/raves?
I told my boss today, and she was really happy for me! We had a great conversation about parenting. I shouldn't have been surprised by her reaction, but I was kind of scared to tell her, so I'm pleased.
Questions for FTM, or STM+? Not at the moment, but I'm loving the "big thread of dumb questions"
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? I'd like two, but the first tri has been difficult and we only have one embryo left from IVF, so we may be one and done, or we may adopt. Let's see how one works out first!
@PurplePumpernickel I'm glad your boss took it well!

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Nausea went away completely for most of the day yesterday, but now that I'm feeling better my anxiety is coming back. I'll take it though. Also, leg cramps. I think it's my own fault for being such a couch potato.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? NT scan last Thursday, went awesome! Low risk and a "probably" boy, and it was so awesome to see the baby moving around. I fell in love when I saw him move his little fists and feet.
Rants/raves? Went to a La Leche League meeting today, and it was really great to talk to other moms. I feel like I finally get to have fun with this pregnancy.
Questions for FTM, or STM+? Not ATM
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? 5. But obviously this is number one, so I suppose we'll see if that changes. That's kind of how I feel about all things parenting. There are ideas and ways that I want things to go, but I know things can change, and since I've never had a baby, I don't really know how it will be for me.
@GlitterFish My blump is going bump too, although it seems to be a small bump and then a blump on top... it's honestly so super duper weird, but it's made me uncomfortable sleeping for two weeks now. I'm not even remotely used to having a stomach.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? Definitely dizzier! Still so nauseated.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? NT scan last Wednesday - baby looked great and everything was low-risk. Regular OB appointment yesterday - so glad to have hit the land of boring appointments! Just asked her a few questions and heard the HB on a Doppler.
Rants/raves? SO ready for this nausea to be over!!!
Questions for FTM, or STM+? When did you stop feeling barfy?
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? Two. I'm already 33 (will be 34 when I give birth), so the plan is to start trying when this baby is about a year and a half and once we have that baby, snip snip time for DH.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? I don't think so - I've been feeling sooo much better and have more energy. Second tri is amazing so far.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? Nope and not another until the end of the month.
Rants/raves? I finally got a real work out in! A 30 min walk/run and it felt great
Questions for FTM, or STM+? Not off the top of my head
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? I used to want three (if any, haha). Now we'll probably just stick with two since we're a little older and want to be done. We're 32 & 37. Not old, but old enough. Plus daycare and all the other expenses.

Any new symptoms or changes since last check in? This is my first check in for this board, but my MS has finally started dropping off. It's very random now, so I'm grateful for that. My boobs are super sore at night most nights, so I have to sleep in a sports bra to keep the girls from moving. I've also been super gassy. Burps since day one. I feel like everything is so textbook, so I'm hoping for a textbook delivery and healthy baby too.
Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? I have my NT scan on Saturday and then a regular appointment all the way on 2/3.
Rants/raves? Just noticed my gums on my bottom canine teeth are puffy, so I'm annoyed because that means I need to get more perio scaling done. I get my periodontal disease from my dad. Yippee. Otherwise, I'm happy and excited to see my baby on Saturday!
Questions for FTM, or STM+? Nope, not today!
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? I would like one of each, but three would be cool too. I have always wanted a big family, but my MS was so bad on this one it's scared me. We will see!

Any appointments since last check in? How did it go? I had my NT scan after the last one. It went very well and am low risk.
Rants/raves?
Questions for FTM, or STM+?
GTKY: In an ideal world, how many kid(s) do you want? I have always wanted 3; my H wants 2. At this point, I'll take what I can get. If we have one biological child, I'm good with that. We both want to adopt as well.
Any new symptoms? I can eat! Yah! I am careful and a little picky but normal food.
Any appointments? We had our scan for downs and the ultrasound/bloodwork. It was super comforting to see the baby and hear it was normal size.
Rants/ raves: asked on the fitness and first time mom board. I'm excited to hear how other people ease into fitness after a couple months of nausea.
GTKY? We want 2! I'm also 33....and will be 1 month from 34 when giving birth, so I know I'll be trying once I can again. Around here I think we may be timing it so the child would be two, so we can afford day care for both, but I am trying to get creative on that as I think ahead too! It's already a far way away. I had a cyst on my ovary on 8 wks and it was too small to be worth measuring at 11 or 12 weeks-- so I'm happy I can think of 2 kids, but trying to get through this one, like those of you who have been sick-- 1 at a time!
I'd love to ask--- what's taking up all your time? At first for us it was day care, then we started buying some baby stuff slowly used, now we're house hunting! (small apt--too small for baby). Now, I am finally reading etc. some more but not as crazy. I am telling me boss tomorrow!
@RunRestRepeat Yay! I'm glad it went well. I haven't told my team yet - trying to wait until I get NIPT results back.
@Katie______ I feel like all of my time and mental energy is being spent planning snacks so I don't get too hungry/too sick, eating the snacks, and trying not to throw up (hurry up 2nd tri!). And reading lists of baby names. And reading posts on BMBs
I understand soo much! And I missed a meal last week and it was back badly---so timing still matters a lot and eating times. I can eat way more snacks now...but even 8, noon, and 6 seem to be my meal times, so I think eating at times is still important. Im excited for you to eat normalish slowly!
We haven't seen 1 house yet, but about to start and found a buyers agent.....and met mortgage pple.
Good luck telling your boss! It'll be great!
