We are going to go pullout method (tried and true for years) before trying for maybe one more after this one. My DF is all for the vasectomy after that.
Also, I am in the worst mood today. Tuesdays are my least favorite day. I always have a million things to do, and it's really cold, and I want to go home.
Ugh now I am reminded that we are going to have to make a decision about birth control after this baby. For some reason I don't want him to get snipped even though I'm pretty sure we are done having kids after this one.
MC Sept 2010 BFP Oct 2011 - DD born July 2012 TTC again since July 2014 First IUI 9/26/16: BFP! EDD 6/19/2017 It's a girl!

DH always said he'd get a vasectomy when we were done...I was on the pill for years and refuse to ever do it again. I would probably consider an IUD, but only after I'm done breastfeeding this one - I know that's not supposed to affect milk production but I just don't like to put anything weird in my body while I'm breastfeeding for fear it will eff something up. When my cycles came back after DD I just went back to temping and charting so I knew the times to avoid until we decided to NTNP and then actively start trying again.
DH says he's done after this baby, but I can see him putting off the vasectomy, and I kind of want a 3rd anyway, so I think it's more likely that when this kid turns 1 we'll say "ok let's give NTNP a try for one year, and if it works it works, if it doesn't it's vasectomy time." By then we'd be getting up in years anyway; i'll be just short of 35 when this one is born, so we'll probably be ready to end the "raising infants" part of our lives by that time. DH better follow through on this surgery though, because a surprise baby when I'm like 45 would NOT be appreciated.
Lurking from F17... I was enjoying a certain thread that got shut down someone pm me the name of the thread if you have another entertaining one to read!! Also FYI we had plenty of drama further back, but it has died down as we got further along. As someone had mentioned, I think the crazies get weeded out, and the remaining members find a "groove" and have less drama aside from when the randos pop in.
I have always said that I would never want a baby during the holidays for the reason previous posters stated. What a bummer to have a bday when everyone else is so busy! I know if I had infertility I probably would have changed my mind but for the sake of the baby I don't think I would ever "try" during the months that would produce a holiday baby.
How sad that Drama Llama was shut down. And stupid.

I am so over some of my sixth graders today. Also annoyed the drama lama thread got shut down. Basically I am ready to go home and have a drink, but will have to settle for some chocolate milk. This Tuesday is sure feeling like a Monday.

Pull out game is strong over here. No BC or vasectomy. We're on the baby train and will see how many I can pop out after this one before I turn 40.
This is brilliant! I too am on the baby train and may go for #4 before 40 (although I think I am bit crazy since my boys are so young). But I have less than 5 years until 40!
@rmarble23@kahlan82 a little late in my reply, but.... I have friend that had years of IF that lead to her having twins through IVF and she got randomly pregnant when her twins were less than a year old. She literally would say 'Who knew?!?! You can get pregnant from having sex with your husband!!' so... yeah, crazy, I'm pushing for a vasectomy as my body is crazy unpredictable and I'm done with options for me.
I will probably just track my cycle after this one and hope for the best. I am very in tune to when I ovulate - which is good since I have delayed ovulation so just doing the reg 14 day wouldn't work for us. So happy about the new llama group. Though I got in then I couldn't figure out how to get back.. luckily learned how to bookmark discussions on here when I found it again. You learn something new every day!

Is there a way to mark it other than just highlighting different threads in the group? So far the only way I have figured out how to get back is by going back to PMs.
Not sure this belongs here, but looking for positive thoughts for my sister. She is due with her first a week before me. (Love you if you're here somewhere in secret and I haven't figured it out yet!) She had her anatomy scan this morning, and they think there is something wrong with her baby's heart. That's all they said. They are making her an appointment with a specialist for a more in-depth ultrasound, but right now exactly what's wrong and how severe it is is all unknown. And this is after a year and a half of infertility to get to this point. Not fair.
@mrt sending positive thoughts and prayers! We have a close friend that their 4 month old son just underwent his 2nd open-heart surgery for HLHS (a CHD) this week, his first was right after birth... just know that even if there is a serious issue there are some amazing children's hospitals and cardiologists to help!
DH is all about the vasectomy. He is going in as soon as I feel OK after the baby.
My rant: I took DD to the doctor because she had a "cold", but was just not acting like herself. Pneumonia! Now I made an appt for myself for tomorrow in case I have it too since I have been coughing and congested like her too.
This is odd but my scalp hurts! If I touch it or flip my hair the wrong way it feels like I've had a tight ponytail all day. I'm blaming hormones.
Mine too! The first time it happened, I had been wearing it in a tight bun on the top of my head, so I blushed that. But it keeps happening. I'm doing a loose side swept braid today to see if it helps.
I'll probably get my IUD back in after this baby. DH says this is it because he doesn't wanna play zone defense, but I'm not ready to do anything permanent when we are 26 & 27 yrs old. The IUD treated me well and I had no side effects so I'm not too upset about being back on it.
I told DH when we are officially done, though, he WILL get the snip because it's a way easier recovery than any of my options.
My kid, my picky picky kid who usually eats nothing but chicken nuggets or PB sandwiches and carrots for us at home, just at 3 slices of brisket, a chunk of corn on the cob, some broccoli and a cornbread muffin from Famous Daves. My face was pretty much like .

Yay love the support! I was told by an older man I know that my uterus was gonna fall apart ha
Post-baby birth control....ack. I had a Mirena post-DD which ended up needing to be removed in an OR under anesthesia, so I won't be going down that road before (loved it until it had to come out!) I guess other options need to be considered at some point.
