I am proud to say I've never watched any of those! I haven't watched any junk TV since the first Rock of Love and Flavor of Love haha I'm a true crime addict. I also like Metalacolypse, Squidbillies, and Beavis and Butthead. Those are my guilty pleasures haha
The Bachelor!!! I actually can't stand it. But I love it. I read the spoilers which makes it more interesting to see things play out. And make customized drinking game rules for each season of course!
I used to love all the Real Housewives shows, but we cancelled cable about 5 years ago and it's been difficult to get Bravo since then. I don't have a lot of time for "guilty pleasure" TV shows, but I never pass up a Doctor Who marathon. DH and I fall asleep to American Dad every night, and I try to keep up with The Goldbergs, American Housewife, and This is Us.
I'm loving this new show called Good Behavior, and I just watched the pilot for a new show called The Mick.... It's hilarious, I was pleased with its comedy...but I have to admit I'm forever bummed that cheesy Christmas movies are no longer playing 24/7 on hallmark channel.
@AllyTheKid I love Forensic Files!! My husband calls it the Peter Thomas show, since he narrates almost all episodes. I had no idea of the guys name until H pointed it out.
My random today is I had a breakdown this morning since this is my last month of maternity leave. I never thought I'd want to be a stay at home mom, but I want it more than anything. Unfortunately, living in DC with the incredibly high cost of living, we need a double income to survive. I don't want to put my son in daycare and wish there was another option. Just a really rough day today....
@Pupatella ::HUGS:: I absolutely hate that for you, I remember what a dreadful feeling returning to work was with DD. All I can really say is hang in there mama. Try to focus on the positives (Both you and LO will have more social stimulation, which is important and healthy for both his development and your overall social and psychological well being, and you will both be extra excited to see each other at pick-up time!), and in time it does get easier. It doesn't seem like it at first, but it does.
Funny you say that- My FI also knew the narrator by name, and just a few days ago pulled up a picture of some creepy looking guy and said "that's him" (it wasn't really, he was just teasing me). Men know the weirdest, most random things sometimes.

I like American housewife also. I think the mom is hilarious.

Thanks @AllyTheKid!! I think I'm going to have a talk with my boss and see if I can go to part time. Not sure he will go for it, but worth a try...fingers crossed as I think that would be the best outcome possible.
Look up the real Peter Thomas. He looks nothing like his voice imho.
LO likes baths and is very calm and quiet during. But recently when I get her to her room to get her dried off and dressed she starts freaking out, screaming crying. I have to hurry up and dry her off and out a diaper on her so I can pick her up to console her. I keep her bundled so I don't think she's cold. What else could it be?
@Ladybug2821 Funny you mention that, Johnny did that to me the night before last... He was cool as a cucumber while he was being bathed, but once he left the tub he was mad at me the rest of the evening! I know he wasn't cold because I had a space heater going in the bathroom for extra warmth, had him wrapped up immediately after getting him out of the water, then sat on the commode and dried him off before even leaving the bathroom. Then dressed him in a fleece sleeper as soon as we were in the bedroom, but he still fussed at me for about 45 minutes before I gave him his bottle and put him to bed =/
@AllyTheKid I just don't get it. These babes can be so finicky. I don't want her getting so worked up before bedtime. I've only be giving her a bath every other night and she seems to go to bed better on the nights she doesn't get one .
@Ladybug2821 Willow did that when we first started giving her baths and I assumed that she was cold. As a result, I now dress her in the bathroom right after bath. I just bring her pajamas in with me and lay her down on the bath rug. She gets lotion and clean jammies and she is happy as a clam. It might be worth a shot!
@Ladybug2821 I second dressing her in the bathroom, and also say use a space heater in there too if you have one to try to keep her warm. Johnny never got cold, so I don't know what his deal was. FI and I decided he has birth PTSD and when he's in the tub, he remembers the womb and feels happy and secure, but when he comes out of the tub it shocks him back to reality and he panicks... totes legit, right?
WE GET TO BRING MY STEP SON BACK HOME TOMORROW!!! All allegations and charges against FI have been re-investigated and dropped, and this nightmare is over!

That is awesome. Looks like 2017 is off to a good start .
Anyone's LO have eczema or dry skin? I'm using the johnson's products and Storm's skin is getting very dry. I don't want her to lose that baby soft skin so soon. Any suggestions on better products?

My older daughter's skin was getting dry and chapped and her pediatrician recommended one layer of Eucerin and then a layer of Aquaphor. We got the baby version of these products and used them on Willow's skin and the dry spots went away! I think you could use any kind of lotion for the initial layer, but the Aquaphor creates a barrier and keeps the moisture locked in to their skin.

Did you join the fantasy league for this season on abc.com!? I think it's a fun idea!
I've gifted myself a month of HBO for my last few weeks of maternity so I'll be binge watching GOT if anyone needs me!
Going back to work sucks. This time around I have asked my boss to let me only do 4 days a week for a few months. Not permanent, but I'm thinking until she's 6 months or so.
For bath time I heat up a towel in the dryer, LO loves it and makes the cutest face when I wrap her up
Finally, my random is that I got my IUD placed today, yipee!

The towel in the dryer is a great idea! I'm definitely using that for tonight's bath time.
@Sprinkels28 this is my second IUD and I love it. My period basically went away and I never have to remember a pill or get a shot. It didn't hurt much to get it placed, just some period like cramping. I know there is a wide range of opinions about it but it's been a great option for us!
@ByeBabyBunting yes, that towel sounds genius!!!! I'm gonna try that too!
@ammetko04 no, I didn't join the league... but it is a fun idea!!! Did you join?? I think if I ever watch a season without knowing the spoilers I will do that, just to see how I do. But I really enjoy knowing who wins and watching their connection from the start ❤ lol
Every day this week has been a funeral, the last monday, tuesday,... that I get to spend with LO.. I go back to work on monday! I may need a mental health check on Monday please!
@ball4768 I can't remember which thread you posted in about Willow's colitis. How is she doing? Have things improved for her? I hope she is feeling better .
@Ladybug2821 She's doing much better, thanks for asking! She's on hypoallergenic formula now, but we are slowly re-introducing breastmilk and she is tolerating it well.

Happy to hear! I've been trying to go dairy free but I've been failing. It's really hard because so many things have dairy in them. I think I've done well and then I realize I missed something .
LO has stopped giving me her usual hunger cues so now I don't know she's hungry until she's fussy and then really it's still a guessing game. I also think she's stretching out her feeding times. I offer her the breast at the 2 HR mark since she's not been giving me her cues and she doesn't want it. Then sometime later she's crying because she's hungry. So confusing.
