I had a quick appointment last week. While I havn't been swelling yet, doc recommended compression socks for commuting and pregnancy belt for back support. Anatomy scan is Feb
Any new symptoms or changes?
Not much. I don't feel like I'm growing very quickly either, but I did have my first oops moment opening a closet door that bumped into my larger midsection.
Rants/Raves/Questions?
My OB office transitions through all the doctors in the practice so you know the doctor on duty delivering. While its a good practice in theory, I'm kinda ticked off that my next appointment is my last with my regular OB/Gyn.
GTKY: What is your favorite lazy Sunday activity?
Definitely movie watching. In the winter, I gravitate to the Lord of the Rings, and in the summer, it tends to be more wedding flicks. I think I've been subliminally programmed.

Same old nausea and vomiting plus heartburn everyday

I've got so much going on right now I just want a break. My dad, who owns the company I work for has cancer and hasn't been working so on top of taking care of him my job has gotten exponentially harder. And DH hasn't found a job in STL yet so I am still traveling back and forth every week.

Acid reflux at night when I lay down. It's kinda weird though because I always lay on my right side and browse my phone and then roll to my left side to fall asleep and it doesn't start until I'm on my left side.

Started talking about baby showers with my mom and MIL. I wanted to just have 1, where I live and my mom thought that was silly because then no one from IL (2 hours away) would come! I was like I don't care if your friends or MIL's friends come. I want MY friends there. Then my friend up here told me she was planning on throwing me one with my local friends so now there will be 2. Is it weird that the grandma's are inviting their friends? These are not friends that me or DH has been close with, not like family at all. Our mother's have been friends with these people since we were younger but it's not like we feel like they are family to us. I think it's weird. I thought the shower was about me becoming a mother and my baby. Not about them. Also they both keep talking about the more people you invite the more gifts you get! Um, that's not what I'm having a shower for. Yeah of course that's a perk but I want to celebrate motherhood and my baby with my friends and some close family. Ugh. I thought the wedding and wedding shower stress was gone!!! Oh and then my MIL wanted to have a potluck and invite people by phone calls. WTF.

Sitting on the couch watching TV! We usually also get stuff done around the house.

Rants/Raves/Questions? my first rant. Found out baby #2 is another boy which we are SO SO SO excited! It would've been nice to have a girl of course but since this one and my son will only be 22 months apart I thought it would be so nice to have another boy so they could always have a buddy. Anyway, my parents were a little upset because they now will have 5 grandsons and still no granddaughters but this by no means means that I'm done having children, maybe baby 3 will be a girl. I knew they would be upset at first but they quickly got over it and are happy, what really pisses me off is that after announcing its a boy on Facebook, a few people said "aw your poor parents", one person in particular absolutely made me furious she said "aw your poor mother!!! Guess she'll have to rely on Jason now! Lol" (my brother). First of all my parents will be just fine. Second of all I have zero control over the sex of my baby. Third of all, who cares if it's my brother who gives them their first granddaughter. So they have to wait a little longer, I think they will survive! Why can't people just shut their mouths and be happy for you! There always has to be some sort of comment, always. Rant over.
GTKY: What is your favorite lazy Sunday activity? after church, I put my son down for a nap and my husband and I just hang out, watch tv or just talk. And I love just playing with my son once he wakes up from his nap, we put on movies and eat snacks. It's my favorite

I have the best DH. I have really bad anxiety and my hormones keep making me weepy. He is so calm and understanding.

DH just switched police schedules, and he will now be home every Sunday. Super happy since working all week and then doing toddler duty all weekend was NOT relaxing.

Nothing new. Still having back pain and some hip pain. Headaches pretty much daily.

Tired of being asked about the gender (we know but aren't telling yet), about if I feel anything, about how I'm feeling blah blah blah. My parents and the in-laws are both trying to schedule visits after baby shows up (we live 8 hrs away from home) and they aren't really taking our wants into consideration. This is the first grandbaby on my in-laws side and I may murder my MIL if she continues to step on my toes.

Appointment updates? Thursday p 17 injection and starting to see OB every 2 weeks now. Anatomy scan on 2/1

GTKY: What is your favorite lazy Sunday activity? Napping. Staying in my pjs and playing with my LO

Appointment updates? I don't have a bladder or kidney infection! Next appt isn't 'til 2/1, and the wait is killing me.
Any new symptoms or changes? Hard to tell if these nosebleeds are from the dry winter weather or pregnancy. Likely both.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: feel free to flame me, but it is bothering me that people drop eye contact and stare at my belly once I tell them I'm pregnant. I feel like I'm showing plenty, and you should still talk to my face. Rave: this is super Mean Girls of me, and also flame worthy, but 2 co-workers who I dislike have bigger belly bloat than me - and they're not pregnant. I know I shouldn't gloat, and I know it has nothing to do with me, but it does make me happy.
GTKY: What is your favorite lazy Sunday activity? Since I'm pretty beat after work during week nights, Sundays end up being cooking, cleaning, and laundry. It does make me happy my house is neat, so that makes Mondays more bearable.
