Constipated anyone?!

Desperate FTM. I feel so bloated! And i have been trying to eat every 3hrs as everyone recommends and drink water all day long. But nothing helps.

My nausea epidodes are crazy and when i finally vomit, it is until i have nothing... absolutely nothing in my stomach.. nao the constipation... any solutions out there?

Re: Constipated anyone?!

  • I've dealt with the constipation. Personally, I try to eat foods high in fiber to help. I did have to go the medicine route once - Metamucil and colace helped me.

  • With my first I had to drink a lot of juice. It's always done the trick for me. So far with this one I'm not really constipated though.

It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*

  • It's so uncomfortable :( I also read about drinking insane amounts of water so started doing that and it helped a little. But the one thing that seemed to get things going was working out!
  • Miralax worked for me with my first. I have been using it here and there with this baby so far too. I wasn't this constipated this early with #1 so THAT sucks. The bloat and constipation are REAL. I don't have morning sickness but I get nauseous when I'm constipated. No bueno.
  • Eat kiwis every day.
  • I'm in the same boat (FTM, 7 weeks, clogged up) and bought a bottle of Metamucil capsules with Calcium, and I'm taking 2 per meal. Today for the fist time in 2 weeks, I was able to "properly" relieve myself. Try that to see if it helps.
  • @LaurieD32 did your dr say metamucil was okay?
I have a fiber product just like it but i got it to relieve hunger.
  • I have been taking fiber gummies daily and it helps a lot. Milk of magnesia is okay to use if it's been awhile since you went.
  • I eat three prunes every day. My first I was so miserably constipated so I'm trying to stay on top of it this time. It's working.
  • I also do the prunes, about 3-5 a day. On the advice of someone here I bought kiwis and been having them before breakfast. If things are really stuck I'll do a cup of earl grey tea. The caffeine in that helps to get me moving.
