1. It's Friday!!! 2. We typically have the DSS's every weekend. I really don't mind. I love having them on the weekend because it gives us time to do fun things since DH and I work all week. But this weekend, they are staying with their mom! I'm so excited to hopefully have a relaxing weekend. Plus its supposed to pour all weekend long (3-5 inches in 3 days), so we would all be cooped in the house anyways. 3. Tomorrow I hit 24 weeks - viability!!!! 4. Samuel has been SUPER active lately. I love it! 5. DH didn't work all last week, so I wasn't expecting a paycheck for him this week, but I forgot that they still have to pay for the Christmas holiday! So we got an extra $50 that I wasn't expecting! hahaha!!
1. So relieved the anatomy scan went well this week! 2. I totally thought I was out of clean clothes yesterday (I've really been slacking on laundry lately ), but DH must have washed a load while I was asleep because I found all of my maternity clothes clean in the dryer 3. MIL is starting to talk about my shower plans! It's starting to hit me that baby is coming soon! 4. My cousin bought us a wifi crockpot for Christmas since they figured we would get a lot of use out of it when baby arrives, so very thoughtful 5. It's finally the weekend and for the first time I forever I have NOTHING to do! Totally looking forward to catching up on some sleep and things around the house.
1. I slept through the night last night. For the first time in months 2. It's snowing! I'm so sick of rain. I can't wait to play in the snow. (just wish DH didn't have to work in it tomorrow) 3. DS was SO excited about his new room and big bed. He was literally rolling on the floor because he was so excited! 4. I was only 10 minutes late for my first meeting of the day, despite the crappy roads - and it was pushed back 15 so I still had 5 minutes to eat breakfast 5. My coworker told me a funny story about how her son thought anyone with brown eyes was a boy because all the boys in their family have brown eyes (including pets!) and all the girls have blue. Little kid stories are awesome.
1. Baby girl is kicking so hard sometimes and I love it. Yesterday she kicked me so hard while I was shaving in the shower that I almost cut myself-- I was so startled. Sometimes when I'm trying to sleep and she's dancing in there it's hard to actually fall sleep, but I'm grateful for her constant reminders that she's fine.
2. Today pregnancy brain struck and I thought something I had purchased to eat had expired. So I called the number to ask about the date (it's a local company) and after she picked up I realized it expired at the end of 2017, not 2016 But anyway, I had a great chat with the lady on the other end of the line for about five minutes about the food, and she shared a funny story. Random but humorous highlight.
3. My job closes its offices if the local school district has a snow day, so yesterday I had a day off and used it to catch up on some reading. It was lovely. And Fridays are my short day at work so I'm now enjoying the afternoon off too.
4. Today is DH's birthday, and I'm excited to celebrate by watching Rogue One and eating out this weekend. I also bought a mix for cookie bars instead of a cake, which he likes better. Yum!
5. DH surprised me by fixing the master bathroom toilet this week. We've lived in the house for more than 2 years and he thought this whole time he'd have to replace the whole toilet and part of the floor. But when he realized he didn't, he fixed it in an afternoon and now when I get up at night to pee I only have to hobble a few feet!
1. My New Year's resolution was to keep dirty clothes out of our bathtub and into the hampers (where they belong) So far so good....lol, but its only been a week! 2. DS now asks to go potty (not consistently, but we're getting there) 3. I had my free delicious breakfast taco this morning and it's also a co-workers bday, so I'll be having cake and ice cream later 4. We have no plans tomorrow, meaning we get to clean out the extra bedroom 5. Little Santiago has been kicking like crazy, but I'm loving every minute of it!
1. It is almost the weekend and for the first time in a LONG time we have NO weekend plans so I am hoping to tackle some projects or at the least get some cleaning done that's needed to be done for ages
2. DH is So excited for baby girl to arrive and he posted on facebook this morning "3 months til our baby girl is here!" and it melted my heart
3. DS has such good manners (most of the time!) and it just makes me smile every time he tells me "thank you mommy!" or if I tell him thank you he tells me "you're welcome mommy!" and sounds so grown up!
4. Baby girl kicks and wiggles so much and I love it, it makes me smile too to know that 99% of the time it's just me that feels it and it's just our special little connection and I don't have to share her with anyone for awhile yet.
5. I am craving ice cream so bad and have been for like the last week and by golly I think I'm going to stop at the store tonight or make DH go get me some! Haha!
1. I am so very happy about my boss being flexible about my schedule for the rest of this pregnancy. She's normally not willing to budge at all but she is today (and I took the opportunity to get it in writing)
2. DH is just so wonderful these last few months. I really worried about him the first 2 months but he has been so great and extremely helpful.
3. Chocolate milkshake for lunch. Deeeeeelicious
4. My mom sent out shower invites yesterday and most people already have them, shocking how fast that was.
5. This little girl and her rolling/flipping. The kicks are amazing but when she flips and rolls it's so weird but I laugh every time.
1. I bought a new pair of shoes a few weeks ago and they are the most comfortable shoes I think I've ever owned. I may have to do the dorky thing and order another pair in a different color.
2. We've been working hard on our budget for FMLA and with 2 babies. Our savings is where we want it to be and we have the cash already to cover when I'm not working. The best news is, during all of that, we forgot that I'll also get short term disability pay at 60% so we'll even come out ahead of where we had thought! Major score!
3. I found a hypnobirthing class in my area! I had looked before and couldn't find one, so this is awesome.
4. DD announced Teddy is pregnant with twins. It's pretty darn cute. She keeps telling Teddy "when you get real, you can have your babies for us." I'm hoping it's simply related, but I had another incredibly vivid twin dream of my own last night. I saw the ultrasound pics and was showing everyone at work....they weren't teddy babies.
5. When I took DD hiking this week, she was so stinkin' cute. The weather is beautiful here now and it just felt so good to be outside with her and watch her be brave. She was climbing rocks, falling down left and right with no tears...just being fearless. She's usually quite timid. At one point she told me "Mama, it feels good in my body when I'm brave!" Heart melted.

This is my first time participating in one of these threads, so here goes! 1. Baby boy has been super active lately and has started kicking me in the mornings as soon as I wake up, which is such a great way to start the day. Can't believe only 4 more days until 3rd trimester! 2. We are going out to a really nice dinner tomorrow night at this restaurant that has a tasting menu that I have been wanting to try since we moved here. It's to celebrate our wedding anniversary (which was at the end of August but back then I was living on saltines lol) and Christmas (we decided not to buy each other gifts and do a nice dinner instead). 3. We bought our crib and picked out our travel system, which the in-laws are having shipped here. We waited a while to start buying things because I was so anxious, but I'm feeling much better now and that I can really start getting things ready for our little man. 4. It snowed this week so it's beautiful outside I'm really close to the mountains and when they are snow covered they look even more beautiful 5. I signed up for a ton of classes at the hospital...childbirth, breastfeeding, newborn care, and infant CPR. I am actually really looking forward to taking them and feeling more prepared for baby boy's arrival, since it's less than 3 months away at this point
1. DS has been tough to get to sleep, BUT has been sleeping all night and DH has been on Christmas break, so he has let me sleep a ton. 2. I have a lovely chunk of pork in the crock pot for pulled pork tonight. 3. We ventured to Walmart last night for oil change stuff and some stray supplies for my birth kit that are best purchased there (we hate Walmart) and found a Cozy Coupe truck for DS that was discounted $30 off. He was SO excited when we showed it to him thus morning and my heart is so full. 4. Our Christmas decor is put away 5. DH got somewhat of a bonus in his paycheck today as part of a prop that passed last year. (He's a teacher).Taxes and retirement took a big cut, but it's still extra that makes us breathe easier.
1. I met with my decorator to discuss the nursery and ordered this print as our inspiration. 2. I met with a therapist to discuss some emotional issues I'm having with the pregnancy and I think it's going to be a really positive addition to my routine. 3. I've decided to make the Momofuku Milk Bar's Birthday cake for my book club's anniversary in two weeks and am really looking forward to preparing for the project. 4. I ordered this dress for my baby shower next month. 5. I made homemade naan this week and Indian cauliflower soup and it was a lot of fun.
1. Just got my grade back from last semester and got an A+! 2. Tomorrow we're getting together with my mom's side of the family to celebrate Christmas/Ukrainian Christmas 3. Someone called in sick at work today so I wound up working 830-230 instead of 1230-6! Plan on spending the evening relaxing with a bath using a bath bomb I got for Christmas and catching up on some tv with DH 4. DH has been busting his butt working on renovations around the house and things are really coming together and look amazing! 5.DD was sick with croup this week (scariest thing ever) but she's feeling better and happy as ever!
1 survived the first week back at school after break! 2 DH has been so cute this week-loves the nursery, finally touching my belly without me asking if he wants to feel, helping around the house, etc 3 we are going to finish our registry today 4 DH is taking me out for breakfast this morning AND we saw a movie last night. Usually we are such home bodies unless we have plans to visit people 5 28 weeks today means THIRD TRIMESTER!
