@Dilynne that's great news that you got an appointment within a reasonable timeframe
@jess0211 fx you can get some good timing in before your DHs operation
Month/Cycle: 3/3
CD: 21
WAYDTGKU: Feeling like I never want to HIO again
R/R:
CS/Q: not today
GTKY: Since it's snowing in New York, I'm inspired to ask, What's the craziest storm or weather event you've ever experienced? I've never experienced anything crazy weather wise because we're pretty well equipped for snow where I live now, but I grew up very close to an active volcano and for a few month when I was a child there were ash storms and we had to stay home from school a lot.
Month/Cycle: 19/13 (5 month break for surgeries on uterine septum and endo)
CD: 1
WAYDTGKU: Acupuncture, PNV, male fertility vitamins, we are going to HIO ED during FW this month so hubby better get ready lol. Also, I might do an IUI this month, we will see. This is my last cycle before IVF in March.
R/R: Buying a new car is the worst thing in the world.
CS/Q: I have two:
it's normal for LP to fluctuate by a day or two right? I'm sure of when I ovulated.
Also- we are scheduled for IVF in march. The way my cycle works, this will be the last cycle we can TTC until then. Have to be on BCP after this cycle until the IVF. Does anyone have any advice on whether we should try naturally or try an IUI? My RE is of the why not mindset, especially since we will be maxing out our insurance out of pocket anyway with the IVF so an IUI is essentially free. But, there's still drugs you have to use, right? Will they negatively affect my body for the IVF at all and how much does IUI really increase our chances? Our problem is PROBABLY not male factor. His motility and count are fantastic. He has a slight issue w morphology, but that won't be helped by IUI just ICSI right? And it's endo, PCOS and unexplained for me, although I think the PCOS is under control w the metformin. Im pretty sure I'm ovulating.
GTKY: Since it's snowing in New York, I'm inspired to ask, What's the craziest storm or weather event you've ever experienced?
I grew up in Michigan, and was driving home from work one winter in a white out storm on the expressway. I slipped on some black ice and did a 180, coming to a stop on the shoulder facing the wrong way. Literally 5 seconds later, a semi barreled by out of the whiteness. If my spin out had happened a few seconds later, I wouldn't be here right now. I was shaken up!
And wow guys Sandy sounded terrible! It was supposed to be bad down here in south Florida too but for the most part we escaped it, just flooding in from the beach.
@bluejeanbabi05 sorry for CD1. ultimately its up to you...but i'd probably be game. yes you will take meds, no they should not have an effect on your next cycle. as for increasing your chances... it depends on the cause of IF, but if you have IF with good/decent ovarian reserve and no significant sperm issues it should increase your likelyhood of BFP to at least that of a normally fertile couple. plus if your already planning IVF, either you'll save yourself some money or its free.

TTC 1/2012 Diagnosed : unexplained infertility 6 rounds of IUI and a MC 2/2014, rainbow twins 4/2015 TTC #3 5/2016 Restarted Fertility tx IUI 2 rounds, baby girl 12/17
@wabash15 thank you for the input and I agree. It can only help and it will either save us money or be free. I am scheduled to see the RE on cd8 but I believe that might be too late to start an IUI so just left them a message. The next few months should be fun lol
Just scheduled my blood work and ultrasound to get the IUI process started for Monday! I'm happy I did that, takes the sadness from cd1 and turns it into excitement
@Pinky917 sorry about CD1, enjoy all the wine! 13 days without power is crazy! @jess0211 I hate drivers that can't handle the snow too, its not that hard to drive in. Maybe I'm just use to it. @RedBreast35 sorry about the inconclusive u/s, I'm sure that is frustrating. @zwink1 have fun and stay warm! Totally jealous it's the packers game. @TravelingCouple the stomach bug just made its way out of our house, I hope you feel better!
Month/Cycle:9/9
CD:18
WAYDTGKU: PNV, BBT
R/R: Nice temp rise today above previous coverlines. I'm pretty sure I O'd yesterday! Now I'm just waiting for crosshairs.
CS/Q:
GTKY: Since it's snowing in New York, I'm inspired to ask, What's the craziest storm or weather event you've ever experienced? I'm from Michigan so I've been through plenty of snowstorms.
@RedBreast35 I have the same problem, I don't have any friends where we are now that just want to hangout and play board games. My sister moved here a few years ago but she is still in her early 20's and just wants to go out to bars instead of hang out with her old sister and play board games. Sorry your body is a jerk right now.
@TravelingCouple awww so sorry your were sick last night! Hope you're feeling better today! My period was light this month too, though to be fair, it's never been super heavy.
@wabash15 thanks! I did some research and it seems it won't be an issue. Of course, DH skirted around it at the doctor so I am not 100% convinced that's what it is. After we deal with his surgery, he WILL be having a follow up. I just want to be sure it's not impacting our TTC. On the upside it looks like we'll get some good TTC sex in before his surgery since his consult isn't until the 23rd (I mean I feel badly for him but...)
R/R: what a day at work! Had to call the police this morning. Craziness. Ready to leave thank goodness it's Friday.
CS/Q: none
GTKY: Since it's snowing in New York, I'm inspired to ask, What's the craziest storm or weather event you've ever experienced? Hurricane Sandy. We lost our roof. Thank goodness DH is a contractor and was able to put a whole new roof on before it started leaking through the plywood
WAYDTGKU: sex EOD, OPKs, CM, Levothyroxine, pnv, magnesium, CoQ10, baby aspirin, RRLT .. I think that's it.
R/R: TGIF. Everything is always chaotic after the holidays; everyone wants a case update. Day 4 of Whole 30 and the cravings are a little less today, but yesterday I would've killed for some bread with butter on it. I'm going wedding dress shopping with my sister this weekend and trying to stick to the plan will be difficult while eating out. Praying there's no bread, haha.
CS/Q: none
GTKY: Since it's snowing in New York, I'm inspired to ask, What's the craziest storm or weather event you've ever experienced? I can't think of anything too crazy. I think it was Hurricane Isaac that made its way up and through southwestern Indiana and it hit DH (then BF)'s college and knocked out a bunch of power lines and took down trees. I was visiting and "got stuck" and got to have a nice long weekend.
@Dilynne Congrats on the quick appointment! Hope it goes well!
@bluejeanbabi05 Yes, it's normal to have a LP that varies by a day or two.
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, CoQ10, not temping or using OPKs this cycle, increasing my liquid intake, pomegranate juice
R/R: went to a Walt Disney World Marathon meetup for Cigna today. It was a fun scavenger hunt around Hollywood Studios. Then after a few of us went for drinks. I gave up alcohol at the beginning of November but I had a cider. I feel so incredibly guilty!
also, it's supposed to storm tomorrow so the half marathon might be cancelled. Which is a huge deal. If they do continue its going to be a downpour. Should be loads of fun. Oh. And my alarm is set to get up at 2:50 am.
CS/Q: temp was low today so HIO EOD starts tonight. I'll check my temp again next Friday to see if it rose.
GTKY: Since it's snowing in New York, I'm inspired to ask, What's the craziest storm or weather event you've ever experienced? Living in Florida, I've been through several tropical storms and hurricanes but we've been lucky with no damage. I was on vacation in NYC in 2006 when they had that blizzard and we got stuck up there for an extra night. It was empty on the streets. So weird.
@bluejeanbabi05@purplg8r a derecho is "a line of intense, widespread, and fast-moving windstorms and sometimes thunderstorms that moves across a great distance and is characterized by damaging winds." Or just a line of scary, fast moving thunderstorms that do a lot of damage and make clouds that look like something out of Independence Day

@BertieMeetsGertie sadly, it was cancelled. We have several good options. One is to jump to the full on Sunday but neither of my friends want to do that. We can get a refund in the form of a Disney gift card, get two day park hopper tickets, or defer to another race. I'm going to defer to another race but I'm sad because this breaks my streak--I've run at least one race during every WDW race weekend since Feb 2011. But now I won't have one for this race weekend

Also, may have to move to benched for a bit. Dh will be having surgery for hernia. Hoping to O and HIO this month before his surgery...
Will be back later!
