I'm 5'3. 175lbs. My uterus shouldnt be this high yet right? Even with my third?
ive had all c sections previously.
Baby is kicking above my belly button....I'll press and then feel a kick. Baby kicks whether I press or not tho. Just proving it's not gas. I know it's kicks.
Thanks!

Like PP said, it is most likely moving / shifting organs that you're feeling.

  • Though I did feel some flutters around 12 weeks that I'm convinced were baby... They were very minor and always in my pelvic region. It's really not possible to feel baby kicking above your belly button that early on. I'm 28 weeks now, and just starting to feel movement above my belly button. It's likely shifting, stretching, muscle spasms, etc...

  • Agree with PPs. Your uterus is still behind your pubic bone, even with your third pregnancy, and baby is still too small for you to feel solid kicks. I'd agree that it's just your organs and muscles shifting. (For perspective, at 26 weeks with my second, I still do not feel kicks above my belly button.)

  • also probably important to note is that even when the uterus extends beyond the belly button (which is around 16-17 weeks) it's unusual to feel kicks there until much much later.  I didn't feel high kicks until DD flipped head down permanently, which was sometime between 26 and 36 weeks (and I know this because an ultrasound at 26 weeks showed her as breech so they made me have another one at 36 weeks to ensure that she had flipped).  That's why I figured she had flipped...the kicks went from being low by my hips to up in my rib area.
