How many people invited?
About 40 are being sent, but many are two or more people, like mothers and their daughters who still live in the same house.
Theme?
I picked a cute woodland animal theme, with the focus being a bear, fawn and owl.
Games that are planned? Or favorite games of yours you've played in the past?
I was sort of pushed out of the planning as my SIL wants it to be a bit of a surprise (fine by me!), but I've given a firm "no" to the melted candy in a diaper game. I hate that one. We do plan to do the "how big is my belly" game, but instead of using thin ribbon, we're going to use a cloth one that's wide enough for everyone to write their names on it, then use them as a nursery/house decoration! We played one at my cousins baby shower where we each got an index card with a baby related item (stroller, crib, bottle, etc) and a small container of playdough. We had to sculpt our item, then guess what all of them were supposed to be. It was pretty fun even though I'm not all that creative.

I'm looking forward to the food! I love food, and I know my SIL is going to go crazy!

Theme?
Valentines Day weekend, so pink, gold and purple hearts and flowers everywhere! Focus on good warm comfort food and love, love, love!

Baby item memory game, baby animal name matching game, musical hearts, baby delivery day prediction, don't say "baby", measure mama, guess how many candies in the jar, and late night diaper wishes!

Excited to make my famous punch, special chili, and have actual music at an actual venue and not trying to squeeze people into my house haha. I love baby showers and cannot wait for February!
When will invites be sent out/when did they go out? They were sent out early last week, paid $9 on Etsy to have a custom invite done in the theme of the shower but they weren't actual invitations..the picture was just attached to the email that went out.
How many people invited? Close to 40, which I think my MIL (who is hosting) is having a heart attack at the idea of having that many people (majority of the guests are her friends and family, no joke)
Theme? Baby It's Cold Outside, with white, silver and light blue for a baby boy!

Anything else you're excited about that I didn't ask about? From what I've heard, there will be a chili bar, hot chocolate bar with toppings, a few sandwich trays, 'snow dusted' puppy chow, veggies and cheese, etc. The food excites me!
But it today a coworker told me a story of how two grandmothers actually smacked each other & had to be broken up by the mom to be, so hey, it could be worse...

How many people invited? I can't believe how big it will be but.. over 100. 71 are confirmed so far

Games that are planned? Or favorite games of yours you've played in the past? No games planned! I'm not a huge fan of them personally. If rather have people just hang out and have a good time with each other especially since almost all of the people I've invited know each other well.
Anything else you're excited about that I didn't ask about? So excited about all of it. My 4 friends planning it are having so much fun and I can't believe how awesome there ideas are. There will be a smores bar, a tee pee, and chili/soup/crockpot meals where leftovers will be bagged and frozen for the days after baby is born. Also I'm getting excited to see the babyshower aw thread start to blow up- it is going to be so fun to see how all the baby showers turned out
Nearly @MrsFlemingo too! - I'm also interested in game ideas, sooo not into the diaper one but my friend has asked for others I'd enjoy and I'm just blanking... I'm super uncompetitive. Need to devote some time to Pinterest for sure.
@Goodmorning12 YES. Already have people bringing up old family feuds and things for no good reason. We're bringing together people from very disparate family & friends groups, and I love them all but it's giving me some anxiety. Although fighting grannies lends perspective

How many people invited? 55 people or so but don't think that many people will come- some people are from out of town and depending on the weather etc.
Theme? Peter Rabbit (one of my favorite books growing up)- carrot cake cupcakes and orange candy stuffed in a carrot shaped bag are some of the theme like things we will have- my mom is really crafty/creative and she did a good job at my bridal shower so I except nothing but the best here!
Games that are planned? Or favorite games of yours you've played in the past? I think my friend is making a diaper cake and then having everyone guess how many diapers is in it. Not sure on the other games- I really like baby bingo or the price is right...I played that at the last baby shower I went to and won!

When will invites be sent out/when did they go out? They went out a week and a half ago. It is interesting to see when people are receiving them. I have friends that live within about 6 blocks of each other and one got the invite a week ago and the other got it this past Saturday! Mail during the holiday season is crazy, so I'm glad we mailed the invites early.
How many people invited? 50 ish?
Theme? Elephants and Giraffes. The color scheme is blue and gray.
Games that are planned? Or favorite games of yours you've played in the past? I decided that the candy bar in diaper game was a hard no... I also asked not to do the string to measure my belly game. I'm already measuring full term AND am overweight AND have a lot of feelings about my body, so I decided that would give me a lot of anxiety on my special day.

- Name that baby song (my SIL is planning and put together a playlist in which all songs have baby or boy or twin mentioned in them)
- Don't say "baby" (but they have a weird variation where you don't know all of the offlimit words? not sure how that'll work).

I'm pretty excited in general. I got married at the courthouse and had a very very tiny wedding shower a year after we were married. This is honestly going to be the biggest party of my whole life, and I KNOW that my SIL, mom, and aunt have put so much thought into it and I'm so grateful.
In the invites we sent out book plate stickers with instructions to bring a book instead of a card so that we can start the babies library. My SIL is a children's librarian, so I KNOW I'm going to get all sorts of wonderful books. I'm super excited about that! They are supposed to put the stick in inside cover of the book with well wishes for the babies. The stickers have blue and gray elephants and say "this book belongs to the direwolfmini twins given with love by ___________________" then there is space for them to write a message. I think I might be the most excited about the books. I love to read and I hope that my boys do, too.
When will it be held? January 7th!! 2 weeks. I'm having a c-section in February. It will be at a Steakhouse. Last time I had it at my moms so it will be nice not to worry about anything.

Theme? His nursery theme is vintage trucks/cars/motorcycles and I think the hosts are sticking with that for the shower. I'm not entirely sure.
Games that are planned? Or favorite games of yours you've played in the past? I have no idea what's being planned but I despise the "poopy diaper" game. HATE IT. I'm really hoping that isn't one of them...
Anything else you're excited about that I didn't ask about? I'm anxious to see what kind of gifts we receive. Not necessarily the store bought items but more of the handmade kind!

Guess the size of my belly (FFC - I always love this game at baby showers!), match the gestational length with the animal species, draw a baby on a paper plate on top of your head (I pick the best 2-3 drawings as winners), and I think a couple more. They're also having a makeshift photo booth (backdrop, some cute props and someone on camera duty)
Anything else you're excited about that I didn't ask about? I never had a bridal shower and don't normally like being the center of attention, but I'm oddly excited about seeing all my female family and friends and showing off this big bump! I think I'm most dreading the gift opening which always seems to take forever

Theme? It's going to be a joint shower for myself and my sister (she's due in May) and as far as I know there's not going to be an official theme - just "baby" in general haha... It will be at my house since it's in the most central location for all our family/friends, but my mom is the one organizing/doing everything for it.

Anything else you're excited about that I didn't ask about? So happy to share the day with my sister! It's the first for both of us and the first grandchildren for both of our in-laws also, so everyone is really excited. Neither of us had bridal showers or like being the center of attention, so having a joint baby shower is less intimidating and will be more fun I think.

How many people invited? First shower is thrown by my mom, at her house in my hometown (2.5 hrs away), just a few aunts and cousins as well as my mom and sister, maybe 8 people total, very small and intimate, more like lunch than a full-on shower. Second shower is at my SIL's house, will be around 30 people, with DH's family and local friends.
Theme? I know nothing except the dates!

How many people invited? January 1 was a more intimate one with family, close family friends. We had about 12 people...We invited a few more, but several people were out of town because of the date as well. January 29 we invited about 30
Theme? January 1 theme was woodland animals, since that is the nursery theme. It was super cute! The decorations were adorable. January 29th theme is camping, because DH and I love camping, backpacking, hiking, etc and will be coed so our couple friends can come.
Games that are planned? Or favorite games of yours you've played in the past? I wasn't involved in any planning for either shower. At January 1 the games we did were the names of baby animals, and the candy bar in the diaper game. Not sure what games are being planned for the January 29 shower.
Anything else you're excited about that I didn't ask about? Excited to see all our family and friends! My aunts surprised me and my sister who lives out of state came for my shower on the 1st. It was a huge surprise and it was really sweet!

When will invites be sent out/when did they go out? Either last week or this week. My sister asked for addresses at Christmas.
How many people invited? Don't know
Theme? Don't know, but they are having it at a bakery (yum!). So I'm guessing something about a "sweet baby" or something stars & moon / star wars themed.
Games that are planned? Or favorite games of yours you've played in the past? She asked if there was anything I didn't want. I said no to the diaper candy bar thing and anything with people guessing how big I am. I'm not a fan of games in general, so I'm not super excited about the prospect. I'll be gracious and will play along though.
Anything else you're excited about that I didn't ask about? I'm just feeling really blessed that my family cares about me enough to buy me what we will need. However, my stress is starting to go up from not having what the baby needs and will feel much better after the shower. I know babies don't need much at first, but I'd rather not have to worry about shopping with an infant.
