A few weeks back there were a couple posts about green tea not being good for TTC. Just curious were 'we' netted out. Good or bad?
I drank it last cycle and noticed a considerable increase in my EWCM and am contemplating doing it again this cycle up until confirmed o and not anywhere near the time I take my PNV.
Re: Was there ever a verdict on green tea?

Damn that's what i've been using it for
I love you Moo!
I drank 4 cups of green tea from the first day of my period right up until i got a + on a OPK, i have to admit i did notice a increase in EWCM. So if i don't get KU this cycle, i'll be back on it at first sign of AF!
I think each person has to make up their own verdict. I decided to drink one caffeinated cup a day from day 7 - ovulation and then stop.
From the actual journal articles that I've read about green tea impacting folic acid levels, all refer to "high levels of green tea consumption". The definition of high levels is different though, some don't give a definition at all while others are anywhere from 3-5 cups.
In case anyone wants a real reference, here's one of the articles that mentions green tea blocking folic acid: https://tinyurl.com/7gsxj2
And an exerpt:
"We conclude that gallated polyphenols and their derivativeshave considerable potential for clinical application as anticarcinogenicagents and as antibiotics and for the treatment of psoriasis(1?3). Our data may also explain why neural tube defectssuch as anencephaly and spina bifida, which are usually associatedwith folic acid deficiency, have been linked to high levelsof maternal green tea consumption during the periconceptionalperiod (20).
