Medicine and pregnancy

Hi everyone! So I am just wondering is there anyone else out there taking prilosec? I take 40mg and my dr said it was on the low risk side of medications. I have terrible gerd so bad it gives me ear pain and I don't dare to stop it. Any thoughts?

    I have gerd, I took nexium through my entire last pregnancy (with the OK from my doctor)

    With DD I had to take zantac during my last trimester. I really wish I had said something earlier than I had, I was miserable for weeks before I broke down enough to talk to the doctor about it. Moral of the story, every medication has some risks when your pregnant if your miserable and it's not a high risk med, take it!

    I have GERD too. (DH loves to say, "Oh mah GERD!) was on Nexium, Prilosec, Zantac, and Prevacid before finally finding a combination that worked - a double dose of Dexilant and Motillium (domperidone). I went off Motillium after about 10 months since I had to go to a special pharmacy and pay to have it compounded. I was also no longer waking up ready to throw up. I went off Dexilant prior to TTC a little over a year ago. Now I really watch my diet and deal with some heartburn, hiccups, and bloating. I also have to sleep on a 45 degree incline. If it gets bad again (so far so good at 7 weeks) then I will call the doc. Good luck, ladies!!

    Good to know. I haven't had it too bad *knock on wood* so far and im a little over nine weeks. The dr called me recently to tell me once they look at my ultrasound that i'm further along than they thought I was. I was kind of in shock haha. It went from 8 weeks to over nine, which I know isn't much, but it's my first kid so everything that happens excites me.

    Dr put me on 40mg protonix with DD that I've continued as needed for the last 4+ years.
